Interesting about the chemical test is not picking up the blown head gasket. Scotty Kilmer has mentioned that type of test but never said anything about test not being reliable for a Honda. Thanks for sharing this video.
Great job 👏 My 2003 crv had misfire on cylinder 3 and they told me i needed a new engine because of bad valves and car starts well but rattles on mornings
Positive proof that there is a head gasket issue. I wonder why after the first rad, whoever did not look further? 2 Rads? Sounds expensive. I wonder if the rad was leaking or they just thought it might be plugged and causing the overheat?
I’m not sure what it was doing before it came to us, but I know the dealer put the two radiators in and then finally told her they suspected a blown head gasket and she brought it to us for a second opinion, and then we put an engine in it :-)
How much did you charged the client to pull the motor and install? I have 2007 Crv w/ 280,000 that has never been overheated. And it has a very so slightly head gasket leak. Just would like an idea of cost. I understand the price is going to vary. Great video though.
I do not do the office work, but it pays 11.8 hours. that is just labor so times that by however much the shop hourly rate is. Plus any gaskets you need and oil and coolant, hope this helps

I’ve never had any luck on getting it to work on Honda I assume because the emissions are so low.
@@lakesautomotivediagnostics6509 Ok, that makes sense. Thanks
Thanks for watching 😃

May be worth getting a second opinion, unless you really trust the person that told you this.😀
@@lakesautomotivediagnostics6509 you right i wll get a second opinion, checked it my self and spark plug on cylinder 3 looks wet
a lot of these cars are blowing head gaskets due to the coolant pipe under hte manifold rusting away

Is that a k24Z1?
Not sure
I think it’s k24z6 I have a 2010
Looks the someone had overheated the engine. These K-Series motors do not like to be overheated.
For sure
