The Pichler Tools hydraulic ball joint splitter has been designed to separate the seized ball joints on the following Land Rover models:
Range Rover L405, 2013- . Discovery 5 L462, 2017-. Range Rover Sport L494, 2014-.
Defender L663, 2020-.
The suspension arms and tie rod ends on these models are sometimes extremely seized in the knuckle.
The tool is designed to prevent the steel socket to be pressed out and at the same time press the coned fitting out. Often the 8,8 ton and extra hammer effect is needed during max pressure. This tool saves time and prevents any damage on sensitive parts such as the ball joint thread and aluminium knuckle.

I use my trusty air hammer. It works just as well for a lot less money.
