      Chicago is the best country in the world at football. I think they might go Universal next, I've heard there's a cracking team over in Alpha Centauri and some within 2 light years. Should be interesting for sure 🤫🤣🎅

      I mean the MLS used to be a retiring home for older european footballers since they would earn a lot of money for a few seasons and then retire hehe
      But the MLS is always getting slightly better and maybe one day it ll be on the european level. Even though the MLS is still kind of a retiring home which isnt even all that bad for the league since it gets some more recognition from europe just like it was with zlatan ibrahimovic.

    I remember watching Kaka and David Villa play against each other in 2015 when Orlando City and NYCFC played their first game. I was in Orlando visiting my dad for his birthday at the time. We saw the match in the stadium and the highlights on TV later that night. Can’t wait to move out there so I can spend more time with him and watch the games together.

    Remember: "No Pirlo, No Party!" Pirlo's passes at NYCFC were mostly breathtakingly good. A lot of wasted chances at the end of those passes by the Sky Blue. Pirlo did not jog more in his days at NYCFC than he did in his last three years in Serie A. Kaka was the only reason to watch Orlando.

    Kleberson makes a bit more sense in context - he was brought in as a swap deal because we needed to dump Adu, and Hackworth genuinely had no idea how to use him (not aided by injuries). But that goal cemented him as a cult hero for years.
    Also re: Pirlo, if you'll remember (and you can tell it in his intro picture), Kreis didn't want him, he wanted someone younger.
    Also ALSO re: Matuidi, Miami was actually technically playing with FIVE DPs, Reyes was also on DP money. Not really relevant, but makes their failure even more hilarious.

      Some of them were transformational. Some of them did nothing to help the league.
      Kleberson, for example, didn't really help the Philadelphia Union all that much as a player. Although he's been a very good assistant coach in MLS since retiring and did have a good run as a player in the US lower leagues with the Indy Eleven. In fairness to Kleberson, he only joined MLS in order to facilitate a move between Philadelphia Union and Brazilian club Bahia (Freddy Adu in exchange for Kleberson lol)

      @@de132 Bro all the international signing the league profile, its about how league perceived global so when a foreign player come to MLS, ppl notice even if the player did preform as expected. cause look if no international player not come your league what that said about your league even if your are paid a tun a money to come play in your league. if the turn that down like ten time. then yeah league is wack, but in the MLS case I would saying that cause MLS clubs are signing a lot young international a decode ago you would see that those youth would of just go elsewhere .

    You can't say anyone flopped in MLS as it is still a shit league, more like who arrived there to play and who just to collect a paycheck... Ok, I am perhaps too harsh when I call it a ''shit league'' but at least it is not like top 5 in Europe, so in the eyes of Premier league fans it would be farmers league although even Bundesliga or Ligue 1 is that to them :D :D

    • @de132
      @de132 Год назад +1

      If you fail to meet expectations in a "shit league", you still flopped. You're expected to perform and if you don't, the team will transfer you because they need the designated player spot. You're supposed to be a professional.
      For what it's worth, I don't think any MLS fan thinks MLS approaches Europe's big 5. MLS is like the 17th best league in the world and like 4th in the Americas (behind Argentine Primera Division, Brazil Serie A and Liga MX)
