Hi Brad. Thanks for insight and video. If we currently have old film on the glass, is it necessary to remove the old film first before putting on the dual reflective film or is it ok to just layer over the old film?

Hi Chris, You need to remove the old film first. We received your voicemail and forwarded to a local Atlanta 3M dealer who should reach out to you soon. Thanks!

Is there any way to get a reflective film that works at night when there is lights on the inside and the outside is dark? We need to create privacy for a sauna. Many thanks to anyone who knows!

@@jbh.6257 Not yet....hopefully someday...the laws of physics and the way light works prevents it. I tell our customers "if we had such a product, I'd be driving a really nice car!"

They say to have the privacy at night with lights inside your home, you have to put lights outside aiming your window with the dual film paper on the window. Now the question is how you will look at your window to see outside with the lights aiming your window and blinding you, unless the film prevents that. I never tested this, I just heard. The woman said that she discovered by accident, she had the dual film and lights aiming outside her window, and she walked by at night, and she can't see inside her home. Now I don't know if the film has to put outside too. I don't think anybody would put film outside the window, due to weather, etc. When she says use the light aiming the window, I don't know if it's aiming straight the window, or from the bottom, or from the top of the window, or an angle from the side. Again, how you will be able to look at your window from inside having a flash light at your eyes.

@@tutsecret499 I think what she probably used is what is called an "uplight". An uplight would cause the light beams to spread across the glass and creating a reflective value. I used to work in TV/Film there are all kinds of lighting tricks.

Hello, How would I know how dark I can go on a glass sliding door 6 ft × 8ft double pain using the Dual Reflective Film? I was told I need to be careful choosing shades or the heat will break the glass is this true? Thank you for your help!

    • @CampbellWindowFilm

Yes, You should work with a competent window film company that can run a glass checklist to see if your window is a good candidate for this type of film. 3M Prestige Authorized Dealers have access to a tool for this purpose.

When looking thru the film from the inside, that is exactly the result we want. We don't want the film to be noticeable; but it is very noticeable from the outside.
