Yup. I've very rarely preorderd a game or gotten an upgraded edition but played the first two and anticipated this entry. Got the masquerade edition for the shade.
Just because IGN gives it a nice score doesn't mean that people want to buy this s***. As much as ign's reviews are appealing most people don't buy their games based on the review because even if ibn gave it a s***** review the game would still have the same amount of sales as it has right now.
It's crazy to think how the same company responsible for that turd babylon's fall, are also the one's behind gems like bayonetta, metal gear rising and nier automata. I'm so glad that this game is finally coming out and that the gameplay looks promising.

The train kinda looks like Dante's cavalier, bayo dancing whole the demon is fighting is like v reading the book to gain dt. The new punk character is kinda like Nero who was also punk. Viola summoning a demon and parrying is like v summoning his familiars and parrying with his cane. There are a whole lot of similarities
It's cause they're use to current gen visuals. Bayonetta 3 graphics looks great. Possibly best looking Switch game. But it looks dated compared to more recent PS5 and XSX games.

I dont have the specialty tools that Digital Foundry uses to accurately measure frame rates, nor would the average consumer. To me, it felt close to 60 most of the time.
Make sure you really do research before you invest. This series is so overrated imo. Platinum games are so overrated. I've played many of their games and while they do have some style to them there really isn't much there.
Don't listen to zeni cause this series is awesome, platinum is a really solid developer. Astral Chain and nier automata are amazing also. Zeni prolly plays fortnite

I did, I said the performance is decidedly not great. Performance is not a binary thing of either good or crap. When the action gets too crazy, which it occassionally does (especially in the first few chapters) the performance take a noticeable and substantial hit, which is a bummer whenever it happens, but for the most part, it does hold at 60.

Frankly, even if she told the truth, It still wouldn't make sense to follow her idea. Her 20 hours isn't worth more than the years that dozens of people spent writing, designing the mechanics, designing the art and models, programming, and testing that have gone into this. The VAs contribution is important but not so pivotal as to selfishly try to tank the whole game and the efforts of dozens of people across several years. All that over an OFFER of work for 20 hours voicing lines. And they still tried to give her a chance to cameo. It was a really strange situation.
Also, talking about Hale nailing every version of Bayonetta? Not surprising considering her talents. Still not sure what to think of the original voice actress but her blow-up hurt her more than it helped her.
What always amazes me about triple A reviews from ign...is they put story first. Who cares ? It's a game. Its about gameplay. Biggest difference between hardcore gamers and casuals is gamers want...game. The last thing this game is about is story. 'It's largely standalone and you only need to know main characters'. No you don't. Purchase game, mash buttons, get combos, kill things in crazy ways, don't worry about characters, it doesn't matter. Enjoy game.

What always amazes me about triple A reviews from ign...is they put story first. Who cares ? It's a game. Its about gameplay. Biggest difference between hardcore gamers and casuals is gamers want...game. The last thing this game is about is story.
'It's largely standalone and you only need to know main characters'. No you don't. Purchase game, mash buttons, get combos, kill things in crazy ways, don't worry about characters, it doesn't matter. Enjoy game.
