This car's year was mislabeled. It's a 1986, not a 1985. As you can see it has the factory third brake light which was mandated by the federal government starting in 1986. Beautiful car otherwise.
@@azimmey No. If your 1983 Cadillac had a third brake light, it was installed aftermarket. 1986 was the first mandated year for the third brake light. Tons of people retrofitted their older cars with an aftermarket brake light to make them appear to be newer. Facts are facts.

Gorgeous original example. Should the main dash lights be on when vehicle's idling? Fuel, Speedometer, etc, everything was out.
All the digital readouts were on. This car doesn't have the optional digital speedometer. It has the horizontal needle speedometer.

Exactly!!! It Is an 86..I have the same car..for 17 yes now! It was a 1 owner! She is still running well, and just as beautiful!!!

Some downsized 1985 cadillacs did indeed have the third high-mount brake light.
