Last year i lost my brother. We had an immensely strong bond. Truly connected as bro & sis. I remember i could not eat the first 2 weeks. Only drink. I felt like i was going to choke and die. It really felt as if my heart would give in soon. It didn't, so i guess it's real strong. Because the pain is still horribly present, and always, évery day in my body. Causing so much pain. 😭

I lost my dad Jan of 2003 and lost my mom Feb of 2022. I still struggle every single day. I can’t imagine what this 4 children and the rest of the families are feeling.

The dead no longer feel pain, and even though the living has to hold this pain. It can be a comfort to know that no matter what they though in their last moments, they are feeling nothing but love now.

That father's unfortunate child was killed. If the police had gone in earlier, do you think that some lives might have been saved? Even one poor child's death prevented, would be better than none. Why - don't you wonder why the delay? I'd bet that many many people are trying to figure out why, as well.

I can't even start to listen to this without crying. I worked as a primary school teacher and I knew that, if I ever needed to, I would always put my life on the line for my students. So many good lives lost to a lost soul. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy.

We couldn't name one friend who wouldn't go in there, even if they weren't armed ... ALL our friends would have done "Something" to engage the active shooter, ANYWHERE in our community... I hope the lawsuit against these cops finally takes away from their "personal immunity" from law suits... The tax payers in this community have not only lost children but it is going to cost them, hopefully" 100's of millions of dollars from law suits against the cops...

I'm not sure how it all works in the USA yet (I'm from the UK) but it really does seem that the gun laws and emergency intervention strategies need to change, to help protect people from these mass shootings. I totally support the Second Amendment but I really hate the way that it sometimes gets abused in situations like this one.

My heart is broken. I can't imagine what these precious innocent children went though. Just to think how happy they all were just a couple hours earlier, receiving awards and planning for summer break and then thinking of the horror they must have went through. My prayers for the parents, grandparents, siblings, love ones, friends, injured, survivors, students, teachers, first responders and everyone who has been involved in this horrible tragedy.

it breaks my heart to think that these children's last thoughts were probably "i want my mommy". as a grown adult, whenever i'm ill or down, you always want your mom's comfort!!

There's nothing I can do but cry for the families and children. It's so hard to watch. My son was also in a school Pearl Mississippi where there was a school shooting and I know how I felt as a mother knowing my son was in that school and not knowing if he was dead or alive. My heart breaks for the families . I guess I feel a connection with them .
Use your second amendment, gather a militia, and force our corrupt politicians to stop taking bribes from the nra so that we can implement common sense gun laws.

Prayers are with her and the families impacted. I am personally disgusted being former law enforcement that officers did not take immediate action to save lives of other children . There was no reason to wait for swat at all. This is going to be a subject for awhile and in my state, we are trained to strategiccally set up instantly and go in to take the subject out to stop further action. Deadly force upon him was justified instantly the moment he entered the school with the firearms and shot any student or teacher. One thing is for sure, law enforcement also must be held accountable and retraining of all law enforcement of the state.

I'm very glad the baby that is being interviewed in this news report escaped alive. My condolences to families of the teacher & her husband, especially their 4 precious babies. This is a tragedy that their babies lost both their parents in such tragic ways & within days of each other. R.I.P to all the babies that died & also R.I.P. to the 2 teachers that died.
It's called "broken heart syndrome "and it's a real condition that changes the heart and it can even take place several years after the trauma happened and while this condition has been known for many years it is just now getting the recognition and name in the medical world.

If kids (and grown ups) but especially kids could realize that when they bully others, it leaves deep scars and resentment. I know, I was bullied terribly in school. It still haunts me and I'm in my 50's. These kids didn't deserve to die and my heart goes out to all of the victims, but we have got to start treating our fellow humans with kindness and respect or we are going to continue to fan the flame of mental health issues that go unchecked in some people and it only leads to violence and destruction!
Mental health is a crisis that needs funding. More social programs, more gun regulations, safer America.
Guy got bullied in high school so he shot up an unrelated elementary school. Someone should have seen something was wrong with him before this, and he shouldn’t have been able to access a gun like that. So many flaws in this country that lead to sickening tragedy

As a European, I often think about our government not caring enough about their own citizens but then I watch videos like this and oh my. :x There are so many shootings in your country, yet it's still laughably easy to get a gun. In my country, you pay like 90USD for uni enrolment (for 3 different unis) and then you pay nothing for studying there. In the USA, you're literally drowning in debt after graduating from uni. And the healthcare is ridiculously expensive. o_O Like... I just can't wrap my head around the fact that your government does so little to help you. I'm terribly sorry that so many people died because of this school shooting, truly heartbreaking. 💔 :(

It’s very hard. As a parent you do all you can to make your babies happy and safe. When happens, even though you couldn’t, you feel so guilty that you didn’t do enough to protect them. My heart mourns for all affected by this tragedy. There are many victims who are survivors; friends, parents, brothers, sisters, the whole community.
