Yep, I can see why it didn't sell and it's discontinued. It's not bad but compared to other bass overdrives out there, it doesn't tube-crunch or grind like the SansAmp or Darkglass.

I have a Sansamp and a Darkglass B7K. For me they are different tools for different circumstances. Sansamp is my favourite "clean" preamp put there. I love that wonderful mid scooped tone with that crispy crunch in the high frequencies..but once you rise the drive it sounds farty on the lows. Darkglass is one of the best overdrives out there. Cuts through the mix like a knife and it has a beautiful clarity and definition and keep the lows tight and "non farting" but as a clean amp it lacks of the Sansamp's warm tone.
I found a used Hyperdrive in the local classified adds and for the price the guy is asking I'll give it a try.

This pedal sounds great but the design is far from ideal. In darker circumstances (i.e on stage) it's almost impossible to see the position of the knobs (reflecting metal with a small red dot) and it's difficult to switch the Q and +10 switches without touching (and moving) the adjacent knobs. Something to fix in the next model?

Hey all, I got one of this and I'm getting an electrical buzz at ~100Hz (my DAW says so), could it be the DC suply with a wrong amperage (1,5A) (this is in Portugal so the current is 220V AC 50Hz.
Any feedback?

i was using mine and then it made a loud pop noise so i unplugged it and smoke was coming out the hole. there is now a rattling noise coming from inside it. Is it completely broken or is there something i can do to fix it?
