I Love that , the low is where you can ;
“Fill a room, you can move the dance floor, you can get a booty shaking ,or you can ruin the band” 😁
Another great point about the treble for bass too.
It’s kinda like , as a guitar player some aggressive mids helps you cut through the live band mix . So you would treat the highs the same way on bass.

A mid-scooped sound really only fits well with a P bass for a decent pop-punk sound IMO. It has it's place, but is very one dimensional.
@@Galluu_ also exceptionally great for slap.
Useful, thanks!
Thanks so much James, really nice video!
Thank you for the video.

Seriously, very helpful information. Start with setting your eq correctly, then add some other things - IF Needed at all. Your right (plucking) hand has a lot of tone shaping in itself. [Ref.: Scott’s Bass Lessons]
This man is speaking the truth here, take notes!

Harrison Mixbus Indeed
DO NOT use peak meters to record bass, guitars, synth or vocals. Ever.

@@blop-a-blop9419 Because you want their root mean square value more than peak value.
