It's hard to consider Gus a villain - in a real world setting he's no more of a villain that Walter is. That being said, their rivalry was fascinating to watch and nothing else on television compares to it. From the moment Gus decides he has to kill Walter it's as if they're playing out a game of chess, each trying to methodically defeat the other, Gus on the front foot for the majority of the time, Walter hanging on for as long as he can, looking for any sign of weakness in Gus' game. And when found, the way he exploits it to defeat Gus is brilliant to watch. So if it was just satisfying death of a TV character, 100% I'd have him here and in first place too given how well their rivalry played out. Todd is more applicable to this list.
I cannot remember if Joffrey knew where he came from or not. As i recall, they never made him aware of who his farther was but it may have been implied that he knew. It would have been more satisfying if his uncle knelt next to him and disclosed that he was an incest baby and had no right to the throne right before he died so that his last thought was one of utter torment and betrayal. Yes, im sadistic when it comes to truly malevolent and tyrannical psychopaths getting their dose of Karma. Im ok with that fact lol.

Gus had redeeming qualities and was sympathetic not just for the murder of his best friend, but also Gale. Uncle Jack's death was more satisfying in my opinion. That shit head was a "Jack"ass 😏😏😏😏😏

Yeah, I was actually beginning to like Gus too after the episode where he got revenge on those cartel members. But you have to look at it from a different point of view. He plotted to get Hank killed. He threatened to murder walt's wife and children(one of which is a fucking infant for crying out loud!). And he also would've eventually ended up killing Walt too. So, yeah, Gus definitely had to die.

Jack, Tuco, and even Walter i wanted to die but Gus's death was the most satisfying because he was such a careful and brilliant guy that it caught me somewhat off guard that the trap worked, and the cinematography was excellent. hated to see him go, but loved to watch him leave.
No one is evil for liking an evil character so calm the fuck down. What attracts people to CHARACTERS (not real humans) like Gus was because of his ability to stay calm under pressure and build a convincing facade of kindness. That's what made him a great villain. He used his ability to stay calm and lie against Walter. People don't like the villain because of what they do. They like the villain because of how they act in certain situations. Viserys Targaryen wasn't really that hated IMO. Especially to people who read the books. The only reason he acted the way he did was partially because he was crazy like his grandfather, and partially because he spent years as "The beggar king" traveling from court to court asking for help only to be laughed at and demeaned. He even sold his crown. The entire time taking care of his little sister. Honestly he didn't even sell her for an army. He gave her as a gift and expected to get the gift of an army in return. Which he would have eventually if he didn't act so cocky.Perhaps Ramsey Bolton should replace him?

She shot jimmy’s son and blamed it on the SOA, resulting in getting halfsack killed and Jax’s son being kidnapped and taken to Ireland. She lied about Opie snitching resulting in Clay ordering a hit on Opie resulting in his wife Donna getting killed by Tig via sub gun to the back of the head. Finally in the season 3 finale her mess catches up to her as the SOA with the help of Chief Wayne Unser sets her up with Opie executing her in the same fashion that his wife was killed. Dying by poison is a lot more painful than people think, just because it doesn't usually look violent. But again, it also depends on the poison, and in Joffrey's case, he turned purple and bled out of all his orifices, I am sure it hurt a lot.

In that context, some people can still find Gus likeable. Doesn't mean they are evil themselves.

Gus Fring was my favorite character on breaking bad. He was in many respects smarter than Walter White. He was intelligent, very clever, refined and kept a low profile. If you’re going to be a major drug dealer supplier that’s how you do it. I was kind of dismayed when Gus was killed.

When geoffrey died, I was fucking jumping around the house, overjoyed with happiness. Well deserved number 1, I think he was the most hated character in any tv series(well deserved congrats to the actor playing him, brilliant and flawless performance). The governor and gus is on that list too, which makes the list perrfect.

Gus was a much deeper man than you gave him credit for. Gus did what he needed to do, and in the case of some of the plot, he did them for very personal reasons, but to say he lacks a conscience is like saying Walter was a saint. In fact, the only time Gus actually did something differently than he should have was when he threatened Walter's family, but that was ONLY IF Walter refused to stay away, as Gus was following Jesse's demands by refusing to kill him. In fact, the only reason Walt's murder of Gus was successful was because Walt poisoned a child and then spun a web of lies to make Jesse think it was Gus. Know who the real bag guy that I'd happily have seen dead by the end of the show? Walter. He, of all people, deserved it the most.

I actually like Gus. I definitely agree that Gus has honor and some moral. I like his savvy that is equal to Walt. The personality of Gus that I admire the most is his seemingly lack of greed (maybe he is but I think his instinct tell him not to). He never wanted to expand his business further than it is now and knows carefully to keep his head low whereas Walt never knows when to stop.

I didn't hate Dr. Romano. At first I did, but then he showed his human side a couple of times. I remember when he secretly did surgery on his dog and talked about how much he cared about her. Then, when Lucy Knight stood up to him by forcing him to come see a patient on his day off. He was crushed when she died. And when his arm had to be amputated, he was clearly scared, and he got Lizzie to stay with him. He deserved a more dignified exit than having a helicopter fall on him.

the writers and directors of the show said that Jack (who plays Joffery) could not be any less like his character, and that he's actually the best guy to have on set, and because of this, even though the audience was happy Joffery died, the cast and crew were kinda upset because it meant Jack wouldn't be coming to the show anymore

I don't like people who murder, steal, rape. But yet I do find some evil characters interesting and like them a lot.
Bringing Transformers into this (not Bayformers), but I actually do like Soundwave, Starscream (in some cases), and Megatron. All are evil and do atrocious things. They are likeable. Does this mean I like oppression, slaughter, chaos, etc etc. Everything that Decepticons do? No, I really don't. And yes, sometimes I do root for the evil ones and get a little sad when my favorite evil characters die.
This goes with other evil characters that I've seen and liked. This doesn't make me evil or mean I have bad morals. In actuality, I am a quiet, shy person. I try to avoid fights at all costs, though I'm no pacifist. I would only fight in self defense and maybe defense of someone else. So tell me, how does me liking the Decepticons or evil characters in any given movie/show somehow make ME evil?

i completely agree but his death was pulled off so well he deserved to be on this list. Jack, Tuco, and even Walter i wanted to die but Gus's death was the most satisfying because he was such a careful and brilliant guy that it caught me somewhat off guard that the trap worked, and the cinematography was excellent. hated to see him go, but loved to watch him leave.

What attracts people to CHARACTERS (not real humans) like Gus was because of his ability to stay calm under pressure and build a convincing facade of kindness. That's what made him a great villain. He used his ability to stay calm and lie against Walter. People don't like the villain because of what they do. They like the villain because of how they act in certain situations. It's to do with personality.

Finally in the season 3 finale her mess catches up to her as the SOA with the help of Chief Wayne Unser sets her up with Opie executing her in the same fashion that his wife was killed. Talk about Irony🐼

Gus Fring was my favorite character on breaking bad. He was in many respects smarter than Walter White. He was intelligent, very clever, refined and kept a low profile. If you’re going to be a major drug dealer supplier that’s how you do it. I was kind of dismayed when Gus was killed.

There were so many satisfying deaths in Game of Thrones that it needs its own list
Woah, wtf, who hated Gus Fring? If anything, that spot should have went to Tuco. Gus was a really fleshed out character, and honestly, Walter put himself in the position where Gus had to kill him. Like Mike said, if he had just shut his mouth and done his job, none of that bad shit would have happened. Gus was a fantastic character and although it had to happen, it kind of sucked to see him die.
I'm sorry, you're going to criticize Gus for not having a conscious? Neither did Walter! He murdered so many people, he poisoned a young boy, and he manipulated almost everyone in his life to get what he wanted. Also it wasn't really a shock to anyone that Gus was going to get blown up because we saw Walter make the bomb and carry out the entire plan with Hector.
Some characters more deserving of Gus' spot: Lydia, Todd, Jack and his men, Tuco, Jane(?), Hector, Victor, and even Walter.

I only just recently started (about halfway through season 6 atm) and good fucking lord, Joffrey is like numero uno hated character. though Ramsay Bolton is a special kind of evil.

Gus was a much deeper man than you gave him credit for. Gus did what he needed to do, and in the case of some of the plot, he did them for very personal reasons, but to say he lacks a conscience is like saying Walter was a saint. In fact, the only time Gus actually did something differently than he should have was when he threatened Walter's family, but that was ONLY IF Walter refused to stay away, as Gus was following Jesse's demands by refusing to kill him.
In fact, the only reason Walt's murder of Gus was successful was because Walt poisoned a child and then spun a web of lies to make Jesse think it was Gus. Know who the real bag guy that I'd happily have seen dead by the end of the show? Walter. He, of all people, deserved it the most.
what about the murder of Andreas brother and Victor?And he planned to kill Hank. Gus wasn't a better man than Walt.
magwit123 I feel like had Walt been upfront with Gus from the start, then he could’ve just cooked until he died while whoever he worked with learned and carried on his craft after his death. Gus would’ve been happy, Walter would’ve died happy while leaving money to his family, hank would be alive, etc.

Ramsay Bolton's death is the most satisfying death
The one character that exceeded Joffery's cruelty by far. The house symbol was a man being tortured.

Well i dont think Gus should be in this, he should be on a " Top 10 Satisfying Villain Deaths of TV characters." Cause he wasnt hated by most people cause he was an awesome villain and him being ruthless shouldnt mean the audience automatically hates him while he did do a lot of shitty things, so did Walter. Plus he did have some honor and moral. The trinity killer definitely deserved his spot. He indiscriminately killed families for over 30 years and killed one of the main characters, he deserved a spot more.
also while i agree that The number 1 deserved his spot on this list, personally his death wasnt satisfying to me (an many others). i wish it was way more brutal and with a lot more agony but you take what you can get lol. At least he did look like he suffered through it.
I actually like Gus. I definitely agree that Gus has honor and some moral. I like his savvy that is equal to Walt. The personality of Gus that I admire the most is his seemingly lack of greed (maybe he is but I think his instinct tell him not to). He never wanted to expand his business further than it is now and knows carefully to keep his head low whereas Walt never knows when to stop.

I didn't hate Dr. Romano. At first I did, but then he showed his human side a couple of times. I remember when he secretly did surgery on his dog and talked about how much he cared about her. Then, when Lucy Knight stood up to him by forcing him to come see a patient on his day off. He was crushed when she died. And when his arm had to be amputated, he was clearly scared, and he got Lizzie to stay with him. He deserved a more dignified exit than having a helicopter fall on him.

the writers and directors of the show said that Jack (who plays Joffery) could not be any less like his character, and that he's actually the best guy to have on set, and because of this, even though the audience was happy Joffery died, the cast and crew were kinda upset because it meant Jack wouldn't be coming to the show anymore
