      The death of the big Arab guy with the scimitar, near the middle of the movie was hilarious. That scene was concocted by Spielberg and Harrison Ford because Ford had come down with dysentery and was sicker than hell. • @Diablo-xx9gx
      @Diablo-xx9gx 3 года назад +3

      I wonder why Zod's death was so controversial at times, but forget, been a while but Zod and two other who served under him were killed by Superman by Kryptonite, Excuted.
      Reason was in the original comic they had escaped the phantom zone landed on another earth with a different colored sun, still were more powerful then the people of the planet.
      Ruled with a iron fist then got bored and killed every single being on the planet for amusement.
      Was discovered before Krypton was destroyed the three had been sentenced to be excuted, Super carried it out.
      What other choice, he takes them back to earth to stand trail sorry may not work due to laws and loop holes, two yellow sun bad very bad VERY BAD!!
      Before he killed them he said Quote. you are worse then Nazis.

    • @NobodyC13
      @NobodyC13 3 года назад +4

      Zod's death was controversial because whatever thought experiment was to be served through this story thread, Superman was not the appropriate character to do it.
      Thanos' death was satisfying because how else can one feel towards retribution at a man who committed genocide on a cosmic scale under the delusion of doing it for the Greater Good.
      (The Greater Good!)
      In fact, Thanos died twice in Endgame because ThanosPrime was already a weak and broken man after finishing his goal, so his quick end wasn't much of a catharsis. They brought 2014-Thanos to the main timeline because he was in his physical prime and to reveal that his "good intentions" were actually a mask for his arrogance, megalomania, and aspirations to be worshipped as a god, seeing him go down is much more satisfying.

    Fun fact: the #13 death location was not a saellite, but an actual radiotelescope in South America. It was in need of extensive refitting and they could not secure money to do it before, as depicted in the movie, the wave guide collapsed into the dish.

    They say superman would never kill anyone, but what about all the people that get killed when he's fighting the villains? I think he considered killing the villain better than letting a family die. That honestly makes more sense.

    I’m glad ‘The Professional’s’ end death was added. It always has stuck with me as being dramatic and a great climax to the movie itself. I remember when I saw it the first time I was, excuse the pun, *blown away* by it.

    I think its a crime to make a list about over the top villain deaths and not include Bennet from Commando 1986 as the guy gets fried by a oven , electrocuted and then suffers a pole through his stomach and into a steam pipe just for John (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to to say
    "Let off some steam bennet"

    In the comics the Punisher’s main hobby is thinking of new and creative ways to kill bad guys. He has no real life outside of being the punisher so it’s all he can think about, so what you might think as over the top and time consuming is just the punisher being the punisher

    I feel that even Watchmojo doesn’t even understand why Superman killed Zod, even Thanos first dumb death wasn’t that bad, so what do you want? Superman let go of the Zod just so Zod simply swing his head right and turn the civilians to fried meat from Martins BBQ (not making fun of Martins BBQ) and just punch out Zod just to realize he failed to save a family which was in front of him? Yeah if I was a hero, I prefer kill the villain and have that failure that I killed someone but the family is safe over not killing him and the family dying because I couldn’t save them.

    Superman has actually killed, in comic continuity. In a parallel dimension, Zod and associates killed all life on Earth! When Zod swore to regain his abilities, stolen by Gold Kryptonite, and, do the same here, Superman kills all three, with Green Kryptonite to assure that this never happens!
