Today we visit my Favorite Caribbean Cruise Ship Port while sailing on Odyssey of the seas which is the Island of Cozumel, Mexico. I’ll be showing you a few Secret Hidden Gems, go on a Scuba Diving Adventure, Rent a cheap car for exploring the island and tell you a Crazy Secret that I found out about one of the Cruise Ships that were also visiting the island.

Great video. I've been living here in Cozumel for about 4 months. Not sure about the taxis, but I'm a retired white guy and getting around San Miguel I've not paid more than 80 pesos (4 dollars) but they know a tourist when they see one. Also, usually the only people I see not wearing masks are tourists, even though it is a rule. (I follow it) Another thing to consider is that in Nov. 2021 there was a law passed that foreigners must carry their original travel documents with them. (passport, FMM). I haven't seen anyone randomly stopped in Cozumel but Playa del Carmen and Cancun are a different story. They National Guard or police can and will detain you. Just a heads up. Cozumel is a lovely place, especially away from the touristy areas. Be careful.
Jay - I did the submarine excursion. Absolutely amazing. You boat out to the middle of the bay - to another ship. Then, you anchor to it, with this gap in-between.
Presto magico! The sub pops up right in the middle!
You go down until now nothing but blue light can reach you. You sail over to the edge... of the abyss. Reefs, strange fish, etc. I think 100 meters plus down. Nothing but windows every.

I feel for you wanting to stay in Cozumel. It's my favorite port as well. The first time I went there on a cruise it was AMAZING & you're so right about the cruise just being a teaser. I flew back to Cozumel 4 times that year!

This is the most exciting experience I’ve ever seen. Scuba diving looks so amazing! The various fish that you guys encountered were so beautiful. Lauren is a trooper! Thanks for the car rental advice and revealing that little spot for eats and drinks. I did that Atlantis Submarine excursion during a Hawaiian vacation. It was an amazing experience but doesn’t hold a candle to scuba diving, up close and personal with marine life. AMAZING!

IM SO EXCITED. My cruise is may 8th I’ve been on only one before this! Liberty of the seas this time! Cozumel is my favorite!! We have rented a car there before too. Driving around the main road around the island is beautiful. Farther up where there is nobody along the beach, some abounded places it’s just beautiful
I was in the Atlantis submarine in Aruba.... beautiful scenery underwater at 169 feet.... shipwrecks and lots of fish

If you need cash go to the casino and charge the cash you need and then come back later and cash out without atm and bank fees! Maybe hit a slot or two. Cruising is great for investigating places to see if you want to come back and stay. Thanks for the info on car rental and the Reggae bar we’ll try in August on the Grandeur. Oh and bring your own water you should know better🤣 love to see you promote the locals, you’re a good guy!

Really agree that Cozumel (and Playa del carmen) are destinations to spend time in. We have made a dozen trips to this area, going back to the 1990's and always stay at least 10 days. The first trips to Playa it was still a fishing village with one hotel, one motel and the Blue parrot and no air conditioning. Now it looks like hotel strips in Florida but still worth the visit. Also the "other" side of Cozumel is amazing. Though it is not for swimming it is just a place of natural beauty and over the years more and more restaurants and bars have opened and the vibe is combination of peaceful and happy. Wonderful to see you guys have such a lovely day.

Fun times! I'll be making my 28th trip in just 4 weeks. I love Cozumel. I cruised there the first time there 20 yrs ago and fell in love with the island and go back once or twice a year. I use to cruise a couple times a year but now just fly to the islands and stay. I plan to live in Cozumel in part time in just two more years.

We love the eastern side of the island! Besides the drinks at Rasta’s, they have great coconut shrimp.

Park Royal by the cruise port is an awesome all inclusive. Booze included. Have stayed there 4 times. 3 pools with swim-up bars and 2 specialty restaurants and a buffet.

Cool video ,love scuba diving. My friend and I almost drown in Cozumel while snorkeling! The guide just left us and the sea was rough. Anyway we survived!!
