    That is absolutely insane. We're excited to go on our first Celebrity Cruises in June 2024 in Italy, we've been on NCL Breakaway and I gotta tell you, that boarding process was far less smooth than what I could see in this video. We had to wait in the Cruise Terminal for roughly 1h15, and that doesn't count check-in time and security. We arrived at 10:15 and boarded at around 12:15-12:20. We then had to wait until around 3:30 before we could even drop-off our bags to our room.
    It is absolutely incredible to think that on celebrity, within 16 minutes from dropping off your luggage, you are already onboard dropping off your bags in your stateroom.
    Thank you so much for this video Tom

      You are most welcome. I am glad you found the video helpful. Celebrity has one of the best boarding process procedures in the business. I've sailed with many and they are very efficient.
      I really like that you can drop your bags off even if your room is not ready. Pro tip for you. If you want to be one of the first on your ship, check in as soon as possible on your cruise app. First wave of check ins can pick the 11:30 am time frame. If you have any more questions, Im at your service. I hope you have an amazing cruise in June! Cheers!

    I cruised out of Cape Liberty on the Summit 4 times...
    We use to park right outside in the parking lot a few feet from the terminal...I see they since have built a parking garage.
    2015 was our last time on the Summit, decided to cruise exclusively in Europe now...seen everything in the Caribbean and I know every inch of the Island of Bermuda...
    Don't forget to try and do a New England and Canada cruise...We did that cruise out of Cape Liberty as well...

      Hey Mark! Yea they built the garage and charge for parking (30 USD per day). You've been on the Summit 4 times!? Wow! I have so many videos coming up about this ship. Some good and some not so much. Overall the experience was very nice and I will look into New England and Canada. I think that, along with Bermuda, are pretty much the only choices on a 7-10 day cruise. Next year the Summit is going to Alaska and will be replaced by the Eclipse.

      Hi Nicole, nice to meet you! What a small world. Out of all the rooms on the ship, you picked the one I stayed in! I am preparing at least 10 to 12 videos about the Summit and my trip. 2 of them will focus on the room. I very much suggest you watch them. Especially the one I am planning on dropping next week. It's extremely important for anyone staying in the Sunset Verandas on deck 9 of this ship. I look forward to more of your comments. Cheers!

I hope you have a great time on your cruise. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'll help with everything I can. What ship are you sailing on?

    Cruising from Seattle in 2018 was that smooth and that fast! That was our first cruise aboard the Celebrity Solstice to Alaska. Yes, cruising has changed since then, but I still love Celebrity!

    Thank you for the great video showing the boarding process in detail. We are going on an Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver on the CelebritySummit. I hear it is a little more complicated boarding with Canadian and US customs. I hope it is really smooth like your experience.

      You are very welcome! It's most definitely not a boat. You can probably park a boat in this ships pool! 😅

    How was the Summit? I would be interested to see how it compares to the Reflection as I had an aft cabin on her in May. It's a bit of a walk to the back, but I really enjoyed it. My only complaint was the soot on the balcony every morning, however by the time I was back from breakfast my steward had already cleaned everything up. I also learned to have on more than your boxers before yanking opening the curtains in the morning. Did that once and was staring into the bridge of a freighter! LOL!
    Moving to Florida next month so I will have plenty of cruises to pick from soon!

      I have mixed feelings about the Summit, Rick. It's better described in video format. I have close to 12 videos planned from this trip. I will produce 2/3 videos per week to showcase all of my experiences. Overall I had a great time with a few snags here and there. Knowing what I know now, I would avoid a few things. I will detail one of the issues in my next video. Cheers!

      Its funny you mention the balcony incident. I did the exact same thing. I was half asleep and walking in boxer on my balcony. Bad idea, lol. I heard a few whistles. 😅

    what time did you arrive at the terminal? that may make a difference.

    • @tomsunday
      @tomsunday  Год назад +1

      My arrival time was 11:30 am, and Celebrity has a system that allows you to select your preferred arrival time when you check into your cruise. They limit the slots to stagger the arrival of guests, which makes the whole process very smooth. While it might be slightly faster earlier in the day, I arrived around midday on both the Edge and the Eclipse, and the timing was almost the same. You shouldn't expect long lines or significant delays, but I agree with you that getting an early arrival slot can be a bit quicker.

    whats the other option besides using your digital border passes i am guessing it be a print out on paper In Australia the emergency number is 000

    • @tomsunday
      @tomsunday  9 месяцев назад

      I did't know that Australia uses 000. Thanks for sharing! You can opt for a paper copy of your boarding pass. You can print it out at home if you do not want to use the digital one.

      This was the main enterance towards the aft of the ship. It was the only way you could board the ship at that time.
