Great video breakdown! When we booked for Nov , we did the “all included” which is the basic drink package and the basic Wi-Fi for $190 for three nights, $63/ day. I don’t think that’s bad considering I only normally drink 1-3 drinks a day and this will include my milkshakes and bottled water, etc., and my own Wi-Fi instead of sharing with my friend. I honestly was going to do the non-alcoholic drink package and forget the Wi-Fi. When I was booking it, I called Celebrity to ask them if the tips were included with the drinks in the all included and we just had to pay gratuities separate for the room steward and dining staff and she said yes and then told me that the drink package is, available to use at Perfect Day so then that sold me since that’s the only place it’s going so that means that we have it the entire three days and like you said the last day. Before we leave maybe we could grab something unopened sometime before and take it off the ship with us to have at the airport
That’s such a good deal! You’ll definitely make use out of it when you’re just getting water bottles and other fun drinks that aren’t alcoholic. Thanks for watching Jojo!
Mentioned in this video is the very important fact that these drink packages do go on sale, with biggest discounts found around the holidays (think Thanksgiving and Black Friday). I spoke with Celebrity yesterday and, given that the cruise I just booked isn't until May 2025 (with final payment in February), they advised me to watch for these sales and said they are happy to rebook the drinks package at the sales price so long as it was before my final payment date. Only downside is it means having to call them as this apparently cannot be done online. So watch for sales!
Big idea if you book your cruise aways out, keep an eye on the holiday sales. I got my premium drink package for 50% off as well as my premium WiFi package as well. Act fast because magically the drink 50% off starting point went up 1/2 way through the holiday weekend.
So if they offer black friday sales do they do this for a cruise you already booked, or do you have to book the cruise and the package at the same time?
When do the Black Friday sales start? Not UNTIL thanksgiving or Black Friday? Or earlier in November??? I’m going on a thanksgiving cruise and hoping to snag a drink package on sale!!
I’m going on cruise in May 2025. I have the classic drink package, but can I get mixed spirit drinks like a tequila and soda with the classic or will I need the premium package and will I only have to pay the difference between the two packages to upgrade? So like $250-$300 USD to upgrade or the full $848 USD for premium?
You can get mixed drinks like tequila soda on the classic but it will be inexpensive brands of tequila if you’re fine with that. If you upgrade you only pay the difference!
We just got off the Equinox, and had upgraded to the Premium package during a Black Friday sale. I think the upgrade was $6.99 per person per day, which was worth it since my wife drinking sparkling water and nice to have some decent wines at supper. Frankly, the choices for wine in Classic was not very good. One problem we had to warn others is with the Smoothies at the Spa Cafe. They use small glasses, and would only fill it half full. Then when we went back to get another or try a different one, they said we had to wait an hour to get another, even with Premium. Absolutely ridiculous that you cannot get a smoothie but you can get smashed with liquor one after another. Really petty and disappointing.
My husband doesn’t drink at all! So I can’t have a package! I take two bottles of wine and get my glasses from the Stewart, then if I want something special we just order. You bring your travel mug fill with coffee and water bottle is filled from the stations, which is juice, ice tea pretty simple! Too bad for them!
Given you have already paid the gratuity on the $10, double charging it on the whole amount is a total scam when you get drinks over that $10 price. We got the classic included on our upcoming 12 night cruise, I cannot begin to drink 12 nights running, and only have a couple a night. I like whiskey but hey, Monkey Shoulder is very good it will do me fine and the beers are fine. Maybe I would upgrade if on a short cruise.
I agree we did it for a 7 day cruise and by day 5-6 we basically just did not drink enough to make it worth it. If you do like whiskey depending what ship you’re on the world class bar has really good old fashion’s and Manhattan’s.
On a cruise coming up, we purchased the premium drink package. Each time we get a drink, is there a 20% gratuity added, or is that included in the package? I think I read the premium limit on a cruise to Australia is $20 - is that correct? Are drinks on that cruise more expensive than others?
There is not a gratuity added to each additional drink you paid for it when you purchased the package. I am unsure about Australia because we have never cruises there, it should be listed on Celebrity’s website!
Very informative video, thanks for making this! Question: can you use your "classic" or "premium" drink package at specialty dining restaurants (e.g., Murano or Tuscan Grille)?
Hi! I just buy a classic drink package in the edge. Can you tell me if this is a good choice? Its possible drink good coktails and wines? Caipirinha? Mojito? Thank so much!
Yes you can, you just won’t get the best liquors but they can make you well cocktails I know tons of people who had classic and drank mojitos all throughout the day!
@@BoatBreakersNJ I apreciate very much your comment! I am glad for it. Can you tell me something about the wines? If de classic drink package has good wines? Thank you and my best whiches for good travels!
Lots of misinformation in this video. 1- Celebrity does not include the classic drink package in the cruise fare, where did he get this info?? 2- The 20% gratuity is on the difference of the drinks cost and the drink package allowance. (in the example the 20% is on the $5 difference, not the total $15 drink cost). 3- Soda, energy drinks, and premium bottled water is not included in the Classic drink package, he states "everything non-alcoholic is included in the classic drink package", that is simply not true. He states he uses the premium package, and it shows he misinforms us about the classic drink package.
They literally run promos where you get the classic package included in your fare… I got the info from my personal experience also this is a quick google to see that’s true? Also the classic package literally includes soda, it does not include premium non alcoholic drinks like energy drinks and higher end waters like aqua panna.
@@BoatBreakersNJ But you didn’t “literally” say they run limited time promos that may include a drink package, you said Celebrity has inclusive style cruises that includes the classic drink package, which is not true.
The classic drinks package was included in our fare. Plus going by Celebrity website gratuities are not now included in the drinks package therefore gratuities are now paid on the full amount. However this also depends what country you bought the cruise in as some countries stipulate that the full cost of the cruise must be shown and that this includes gratuities.
I had premium and was getting grey goose but I actually prefer the Smirnoff so moved onto that half way through the cruise! So didn’t actually need the premium. 😅 I got my moneys worth anyway! 😂
@@paulporteous4190 You’re the first person that I’ve ever heard say Smirnoff over Grey Goose, but everyone has different taste! Glad you still were able to get your money’s worth 🥂💵
Thank you for the advice. Question: with the premium drink package, do you need to specify with each drink order that you wish for premium liquor in your cocktail? I plan on trying lots of new drinks and have little experience with bars. For example, I’d like to order a buttery nipple shot right when I walk aboard and I’m hoping that wouldn’t be so strange a request that I’d need to guide the bartender through with the help of google. Talk about the blind leading the blind.
Yes you definitely should specify, the bartenders are used to well cocktails because majority of cruisers don’t have the premium package so definitely say what you want like a margarita with Patron etc. I’m sure they get tons of weird requests so they would probably know what’s in a mixed shot.
Thanks for the information, just to confirm if you purchase the drink package are you able to pick which days you want to purchase or is this for the beginning to the end of your cruise? Hope this makes sense?😅😅
I got the premium package when it was 45% off. I used it because it covers more of the cost. When I added up what my wife and I drank and how much on our last cruise, it was a wise investment. This included bottled water, premium coffee, specialty tea, Coke Zero and alcohol drinks. It came to 22 drinks a day including my wife.
Thanks for posting this! My wife and I NEVER get the drinks package, but we saw a good premium sale 10 days before our cruise. The price is $62.99 a day. We will be on the Reflection stopping at Coco Cay and may not get off at Bimini, since we were just there with Virgin 7 days ago. We did the math and looked at the classic package. We feel for another $40 each total for 4 days, it's worth the upgrade.

Hi Jollean, do you know if it is the non alcoholic beverage package? If so that would include fountain and canned sodas, smoothies, juices, water and mockatils!
Some of the more expensive cocktails have multiple liquors and expensive ingredients so not really. They do have a lot of drinks that do fall into the classic package. But if you go to bars like the world class bar or Eden they definitely won’t be able to accommodate that request.
Gratituty should be added to just the price difference on the premium drink. Gratitutity was added to the standard drink package already. We're just talking two dollars, no big deal.
