We are going on this ship Dec17-24. Never took MSC but have been on about a half dozen other cruises and lines. We are on the 12th floor in the back of ship.
This is my 2nd cruise on MSC Always have great time, Boarding was easy, there were no issues, we were to our rooms in no time and headed to the Buffet.
You are very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I have the Meraviglia dining guide video coming out this Friday. This will followed by a few more helpful videos that will get you prepared for your upcoming cruise! Cheers.
Hi Tom, My family was on the same cruise as you. I saw you filing sometimes during the cruise. I met you on the last night of the cruise at dinner. Our tables were next to each other, and I came over and chatted. My family and I are so excited to watch your videos from Meraviglia. I watched your other videos, you do great work, and you are very warm and engaging toward your audience. Linda from New Jersey
Hi Linda! It was great meeting you in the dining room, and I really appreciate you coming over to say hi. Your kind comment truly made my day-thank you! I'm currently working on all the videos from that trip, and I’m excited to share them with you. The ultimate dining guide will be out this Friday, where I’ll be showcasing every dish I tried at all the restaurants on the Meraviglia and sharing my ratings. After that, I’ll be releasing a ship tour, an overall review, and a few more videos. I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts once they are out! It’s wonderful to hear that you’ve enjoyed the other videos on the channel. I truly appreciate your support and look forward to chatting with you more. Please send my warmest regards to your husband and kids-I hope they enjoy the videos too!
It’s sucked. I did the 8/4-8/11 trip. They didn’t start boarding until after 1. The food was really bad, the shower when you turned on the water stunk. I’m sticking to Royal.
Thank you, Julie! I am glad to hear you are looking forward to my videos! Next week, I will be releasing the dining review. After that, I will follow up with a ship tour, overall review, and a few other videos. I look forward to chatting with you in the comments. Cheers!
Looking forward to your ship and cruise experience. I have considered MSC as the suites and Yacht Club tend to be a little closer to my possible budget and I have heard the service and food in those areas are top notch.
I can't wait to share all of it with you, Rick! I have 2 or 4 videos in the oven from that trip. I'll have all of them out in the next few weeks. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Hello Tom, very interesting video. Thank a lot. One question. @9:20 you rotated camera from forward view to yourself. How do you do it? I assume you held you selfie stick with one hand and seems to tricky for me to make this move. Thank you.
Hello my friend! I am glad you enjoyed the video. It's a bit tricky to do the camera flip. Key is to hold it at the same height when you are rotating it. It's on a selfie stick. Hold the stick with your fingers and twist them. It has to be fast enough not to notice the spin. This will prevent people feeling dizzy when watching it. Once you get the footage, you have to apply stabilization to make it super smooth. It just takes practice. I hope this helped answer your question. Cheers!
My family and I (7 of us) drove up from Baltimore and had a boarding time of 12:30pm. It was a hot chaotic mess that made us feel like we were trying to get on a popular Disney World ride at peak times! We didn't board until well after 3pm. Once we finally got through security, we were surprised that you had to go up an escalator only to go back down a ramp to get on the ship. Likewise when you're getting off the boat...you will have to go up the ramp to go back down the escalator...crazy. I think a lot of the problems stemmed from the fact that nobody was checking boarding passes for assigned boarding times. I don't know who's to blame, but MSC and Brooklyn Cruise Terminal need to really figure out embarkation and debarkation before I ever think about going back!
I agee with you. Disembarkation looked very stressful. We walked off the ship with out own luggage. This was much easier but I did notice many people very upset and stressed out. I am sorry to hear you had the same issue. How was your cruise overall? Did you enjoy sailing on the Meraviglia?
It seems to be a hit or miss with people. I think it was a good cruise for the money. It provides a lot of value at a lower price point. I'll speak more about it in my overall review. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear you did not have a good time, Ken. What MSC ship was this? Have you tried sailing with Celebrity? That may be a better option for you. They are a step above RCL.
@@poon-h5w Hello! You don't have to make reservations for the parking lot inside of Brooklyn Cruise Port. It's first come, first serve. Make sure to show up early if you want a spot. The lot fills up quickly.

January is our cruise time and curious about parking or taking the ferry to the ship.
Can't wait for the review on this cruise. I have heard nothing good about MSC. Looking forward to your reviews.

Thank you in advance for your reply You didn't mention how much they charge for parking in the parking lot
You are very welcome! I mentioned it at the very start of the video. You may have missed it. Its $45 per day.
Thanks Tom! Another excellent video.

Where you able to choose your boarding time or are they assigned by MSC?
1:04 NOTE him tipping that porter.....THAT is very important!
They are very hard working and deserve it. 👍
Whats the average tip per bag?
@@robswan4170 at least $1 per bag
@robswan4170 I usually tip 5 dollars for 3 or 4 bags. Unless you have a lot of bags, that should be sufficient.
Nice video 🎉
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I'm sorry to hear you had a rough time boarding. I can concur, it's an absolute mess.
Next time, if you can, please review the "Yacht Club"
Absolutely! I am planning on sailing with MSC again. I will try to book a Yacht Club room and review every aspect of that experience.
Tom - thanks for much for posting this.. I think I will stick with Celebrity. OMG what a nightmare!
You are very welcome, my Friend! I am glad you found the video helpful.
i just got off that ship today, the boarding process is pretty easy but the final disembarkation process was very hectic and unorganized

Never again will I do MSC. We just got back from The 7 day Bahamas trip. The shower smelled, from what I was gathering it’s a step above Carnival.
I'm sorry to hear you did not have a good time, Ken. What MSC ship was this? Have you tried sailing with Celebrity? That may be a better option for you. They are a step above RCL.
You should never sail MSC without doing Yacht Club! It’s the difference between night and day.
Thank you for the tip, Matt! I will try to book a Yacht Club room next time we sail with MSC.
How much does that set one back? Just curious.
@@amandaregis313 depending on the length of voyage from 1700. To 5000. For two ( last time I looked )
It was a horrible boarding experience for me. Hopefully it’s gotten better. He must have been there extremely early 😂
I was early. I arrived there at about 10 am!
The rooms are so confusing.
Very confusing. It takes a day or two to get used to the layout.
Thank you so much👍
