My brother has the gf3 blem. Od green and it's impressive for the price point. Nobody should be spending over 1k for a ak that looks like it came from the cold war.... In other countries they trade them for cow milk. It's insane the prices on some of them. What psa is doing is making the platform affordable. I'd take a usa ak over the Chinese ak anyday.
God bless this comment. Everybody saying you always need Bulgarian or Romanian and I have only had problems. Ak’s made in us are weirdly more reliable nowadays
Chinese AK's and very nice rifles. Mak-90's sell for 900-1100 bucks. I'm sure some people would take a PSA AK over A norinco or poly but you're certainly in the minority. I'll take chicomm all day
@@tonyseal4992 it’s just bad experiences I have had as I loved my Romanian dong akm but it only took 1 mag, im not saying one type i mean only 1 surplus mag so it was kinda useless after 30 rounds lmao
@@samdiggly4292 I'm sure that's happened, i was mainly replying to the U.S. made over a Chinese AK any day. I mean a shit box PSA over a Norinco 56? PSA may make a good AK, but I guarantee it's not a fucking Norinco. I have multiple Norincos, a bulgy and a vepr. I would take any of those over a palmetto.

Enjoying your videos. Went to PSA and bought the AK12 you did a video on and recommended. More videos on that, please, such as modifications and add ons. What sights do you recommend? Seems crazy to think about sights on a shotgun. Thanks in advance.

The top of the line GF5 is a beautiful gun and the quality puts it in top tier for sure.
Their builder kits are a pretty good deal as well, as long as you're willing to do some TLC.

Awesome video! While I'm digging PSA and get inflation, Krebs Customs like prices nowadays for AK's is just a hard pill to swallow.
Because they are as good or better than Krebs.
Planning on getting the GF3-E 14.7” P&W which has everything upgraded except the CHF barrel. It’s right at $1000 right now. $300 less than the FN barrel model. Which I can always upgrade to later if I want to, or shoot mine till it keyholes. Until the prices of 7.62 come down a lot, I surely will not be shooting it that much anyway.

I wouldn't different barrel lengths on an AK, as the SKS has a 20" barrel and seems more accurate (with iron sights) to me...
So a 20" barreled RPK with 40Round mags being sold at palmetto prices and quality would literally get me to stop all my spending on anything besides food(I'd switch to ramen) and bills till I could buy one
yep. my GF3 rear sight leaf spring fell out the first time i charged the rifle... tried getting it to stay in... and nope. so bought a new rear leaf spring... and replaced it still didnt stay in. :D what a joke.
only thing that worries me is the trunnions, they might be forged but the metal seems really soft. I have seen 5 different reviews where they are chipped
I got the GF3 foldable stock 3 years ago no issues about 2k rounds nothing but steal ammo she runs great n hangs there with my expensive AKs not much of a difference for real I installed a ALG trigger like I do with all my AKs PSA did a great job 👏 with the GF line 🆙🤙🏽

@@baddonkey75AKs, 7.62 & 5.45 prefer steel, steel ammo is hard on a wide variety of pistols and rifles because of the wear and tear. Most likely an easy fix on your Taurus , grab some aftermarket internals for it and replace them. I fully re did all the internals for my g2c just for fun, then kept the OEM ones for emergencies
@@GBall_Vision I didn't even think you could do that with the internals, will have to check it out. My sd40 s and w is failing to feed RN I suspect something with the polymer lower or maybe the mag or feed ramp. Sucks I have to take it back and hope they can sort it out
@@baddonkey75 hmm it could be a a couple of things for those. As far as the G2c there are a ton of videos on YT breaking that pistol down and how to replace everything, I replaced the trigger, the guide rod, and all the internals of the upper, it's an absolute beast now. It's been my mess around pistol for awhile

I hate hearing that valuable information is lost when RUclips makes content creators remove videos - Is there some other place we can find the deleted videos you mention? or have they been lost for good? I've been wanting an AK47/74 for a long time, but finally found an UZI carbine I could afford.... Haha - couldn't pass up on the lowest price UZI I've seen on GunBroker or any other auction site for that matter in all the years I've been looking!!!
While I'm nursing my wallet in the meantime, I'm trying to research which is the best lower budget AK for me, so I'd love to see those old videos you've described!

Want 1 7.62caliber . Custom trigger barrel andsome type of muzzle attachment for recoil kick. I'd like to go to fire range so I can try out multiple variations to pin point exact attachments. 7.62 no 5.56 keep it original

I get the GF3 and I get the GF5, but what does the GF4 have that the other two don't? I don't see the point of the GF4 within the lineup.
Have you tested accuracy between the barrels?
I’ve had my gf2 for a long time now no issues at all 5 k rounds
I've had issues with my gf3. A few rounds a magazine would have no primer strikes at all. PSA Customer Service blew me off. I changed trigger spring to a high power and firing pin to a Polish NOS. Still get an occasional no primer strikes.
You might have some trash in the firing pin channel of the bolt. Push the retaining pin out and get the firing pin out. Clean up the channel and Polish up the firing pin. Pin should rattle freely back and forth as you shake the bolt.
I had the same problem change the firing pin to a longer one
Issues like this and people rave about the PSA AKs? Unacceptable.
@@KonaLifeI have a GF3. I’ve put well over 2000 rounds on mine with no issue. I have no doubt that when I have a round in the chamber, it’s going to go off when I pull the trigger. Unless it’s a faulty round of course.

Do the regular stocks have a slot for an AK cleaning kit? I know like the gf3 doesn't come with a cleaning rod, (which are cheap to find) but do the stocks they make allow a surplus AK cleaning kit to fit in them?
The gf3 I bought has the hole for a cleaning kit.

Does it have the spring for getting it out easily? Or just a hole for doing the spring/cleaning kit setup yourself? (if you know, I haven't touched an AK with a cleaning kit inside it in years and it was spring loaded to get out, could have been that owners modification or could be standard, as 99% of the AKs I've handled the owner just had an OTIS 30 caliber cleaning kit they used)
Plum stock accepts a cleaning kit with no problem.

About the same. They just don’t have the allure of being an import. That said, given the choice, I’d almost always choose and import over a domestic.

It's a crying shame the cut corners on their AK line. No dimples or swell neck rivets in them.
Complete joke imo. Saving like $15 a rifle to sell a mediocre AKM to basic users. Crying shame. I figured they were better then that. Under 600 rounds and rivets start to shear with hot ammo. 😂😂😂
