Got one of these last January and have around 4k rounds through it. Thing has ran flawlessly.
I payed a bit more at 799 but am incredibly happy with the rifle.

Pffff I just paid $1100…for a side folder though. Paid same amount for GF5-E. GF3 runs better honestly.

@@mrdato116 well the side folder is more on the gf3, and I got the solid wood stock gf5-E so they kind of balanced out. I was very stupid and didn’t do my research…AT ALL and as soon as I ordered the gf3 I saw an ad for a gf5 and just slapped my forehead…so I got the gf5 to 😂 now I wish I would have got the gf5R. That’s next.

I’d say that’s a sufficient torture test…🤔 plenty of ways it could have failed without been well built.
Painful to watch yet impressive. Glad I got my hands on one. It's been running great for me. Although I dont baby it, I dont think I'll be dropping it, covering in mud or running it over anytime. On purpose at least. Lol. Awesome video, man!

@@cantsneedgaming4591 my personal gf3 had over 3000 thru it without a single hiccup, over three cases of ammo. It’s pretty well documented that they’re good rifles, just wish the barrel was chrome lined

The first generation of the psak was pretty bad and people who bought it are still mad and unwilling to accept they improved over the years

@@TingTingalingy Yeah I agree in general American made aks kinda have a bad name due to companies like inter ordnance and century arms line of American made stuff like the first gen psak they used cast trunnions and those would crack or worse blow up but as far as I know psa has been using forged trunnions since the gf3 and I haven’t had an issue with my gf3 or gf4 both great rifles and I would recommend them over some imports
@@kenji101onspot I have a gf3, big fan of PSA in general. They're spiker got mad respects in the torture testing. Their shotgun is looking damn good as well
@@Gator69420 alright so for full transparency, I haven't fired mine much since the Russian sanctions occurred. Until that point though, not a single issue and always went bang. I'm not sure if they come with cleaning rods now or not, but I did buy one for mine & completed the look better than I expected.

Before I bought an ak a few years ago, I did a little research and found the PSAK GF3 to be a probable buy for me. I then watched this video and I can say this vid sealed the deal for me. I got the GF3 with all the magpul furniture, put a foregrip and a dual mag on it and I couldn’t be more impressed with this rifle. Ive probably put over 2k rounds through it and haven’t had the slightest issue. VERY IMPRESSED

Awesome! I bought a GF5 traditional redwood in December. This video plus other videos give me great confidence. I wanted to get American made AK’s that were good. Now I wanna get a PSAK 103 side folder.

@@Gator69420 It has held up for at least a few thousand rounds so far. Haven't had issues besides the front sight screw post was loose from the factory.
However, I have since learned that PSA has not been building their AK's correctly (not using correct rivets and not dimpling receivers, as well as not using proper spec for bolts). So take that as you will and research it, also check headspace periodically.
All that being said I do like the rifle and it goes to the range with me all the time and has never jammed or anything like that (your mileage may vary).
Before ever buying another PSA AK, I will buy a couple of WASRs first though because of the rivets and such.
@@WhyPhiI’m 300 in through mine but I’m glad I have a few imports. Only issue I see is that bracket for the bottom hand guard that holds it has a gap between that and the wood. Looks look better than my WASR. Lots of mixed reviews on them though

This is my favorite video of yours. I saw a deal on PSA and thought I'd search reviews on it. Wow, nice torture test. How does it hold after so many rounds?
Ive got the full magpul furniture version (moekov) in od green. I put an alg trigger in it and a holosun red dot on an attero arms mount that cowitnesses perfectly and i dont have to use the side mount. Ill put my rifle up against any ak out there. Its super reliable, the fit and finish is great, and its more accurate than a lot more expensive ak snob rifles.
Im working on making a super low profile magnifier that has a flip to the side ability and can use the side mount so it can be removed and not affect the zero of the rifle at all.
Using the side mount for a magnifier works with those rear sight mounts, you might just benefit from ensuring that you're matching the diameter of the lens and might have to add/remove some material. You'll likely have to use an RS regulate direct mount as well to get it low enough.

@@tclott316 I have had one for a while since posting. Fit and Finnish is good. I put a light amount of synthetic grease on the locking lugs and high friction areas. I have no wear whatsoever. All parts look great after about 300rds. Internals look brand new still.

@Gator69420 I sold it to a gun shop that paid me a little more than what I bought it for during the shortage. It did have a trigger spring problem and PSA wanted me to ship the whole rifle back. I didn't do that. I just bought an original style spring and installed it. Hat was the only issue.

@Gator69420 no more than a few hundred. The trigger messed up in the first 2 boxes. So I'm guessing, something slipped by PSA during manufacturing. After the trigger spring was replaced, no further issues. It also shot very straight. It was accurate. I did however keep my Polish underfolder.

Love the videos, only one suggestion for your safety. Atleast after the shotgun shot, you may want to wear a full face shield of some sort. However unlikely there would be some sort catastrophic failure, you never know when something odd could happen and the thing blows up. Other than that, good stuff

But...... are we just NOT going to talk about the muzzle device blowing up at time stamp 2:57 because it was blocked and/or bent when he was tossing it?!? 😆 I saw it grab a mouth full of mud the first toss or two, then he goes to shoot it... nice little muzzle device one second.... pretty little black star the next! Then, very next scene there's a new device on there! 🤣 I love him just cutting through the b.s. tests everyone else does and just go straight to, "Let's throw it in the mud and see if it still shoots!"

I just got the GF3 and a GF5-E. The GF5-E has the tool craft bolt and trunnion. I haven’t shot either one but I’m hoping nothing is wrong with them. I hear stories about shooting 40 rounds and the firing pin seizes up or the headspace isn’t right. I just pray these two are all good 🙏
I haven’t seen that on the 7.62 ones. I have seen it on the 5.45x39 ones though. Firing pins seizing, and punctured primers. Somehow the primers get punctured, and part the primer or powder residue gets into the area where the firing pin rides, and keeps it from moving correctly.

So what’s your thoughts on all these people crapping on PSA ak rifles? I keep seeing comments saying that PSA sent garand thumb and akou “custom” guns and that the rest have serious flaws, specially the AKP, Ak105’s and the 74’s.
I honestly would have already bought a few (psa AK47 & 74) but they are always sold out. So I settled for a Riley defense RAK74 and bit the bullet on an arsenal slr107 (not that I’m complaining about being an owner of an arsenal product).
