There's GOLD In Them HILLS! | FAT BIKING The ROCKIES | Gold Run Nordic Center Breckenridge, Colorado

What do you do when you're too sore to go snowboarding for a a third day in a row? Well obviously you find a place to rent and ride fat bikes in the Colorado rockies!
Which is exactly what we did during our stay in Breckenridge Colorado. After a few days on the slopes we decided to mix it up and do some fat biking just outside of town at the Gold Run Nordic Center. A quick google search revealed that not only do they have miles of fat bike trails but they also rent brand new Borealis carbon fiber fat bikes. That was enough for us to make the quick drive over to the trail head to check it out.
The rental process was SO EASY, the people were friendly, and the trails were fun. (although difficult for us flat landers) Our loop was a quick but challenging 6 miles and it took just over an hour.
Thank you to the trail crew and everyone working in the lodge that gave us a free map and advised us on the best route to maximize our experience.

A fat bike trip is definitely in the cards for next year. Having so much fun with the fat bike on trails, I can't imagine how much fun it is on snow. Ride fat to get fit, I guess. Fun video, JT! - Todd

While I recognize the pristine value of $30... I appreciate snowmobile rentals to get me to the top and recommend that for your next day off the boards. Also, your midwest is showing while you opted for no gloves 🥶
