- This video is DIY cleaning intake valves for yourself and saves some time and money. I'm not a mechanic, so I also learn it from youtube like you guys too. I hope this video will pass to some guys who try to learn and fix it by themselves.

WOW! I just did this for the first time on my 2014 Honda Accord after getting a check engine light at 175,000 miles. The engine light diagnostic showed Error Code P0087: Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low. I thought it might be the fuel pump which would’ve been around $1500 to fix. So before doing that, i changed the air filter and used the CRC GDI Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner and i must say I’m extremely happy! Not only did the engine light go off and i saved myself a lot of money, but after about the second day as this cleaner continued to work it’s magic, my Honda is running like she’s in her early 20s again! I highly recommend treating your car with this!
Thanks for this video!!!
You’re welcome. Don’t forget to change oil engine too after doing that.
How long did your check engine light stay on for before it went off
but, but, but how can your injectors change if you are spraying this into your intake? What the heck? I can't imagine that you Code P0087 would go away with the approach applied
I followed the instructions and i can feel an improved response. Thank-you for the instructions.
I love to see the intake before & after
Yes I want to, but I can’t do it. It has a lot of work and also not easy to take out because the intake it was behind the engine not in the front.
If you decide to do this i highly suggest that you do a oil change on your engine, this can break down you oil viscosity and damage your engine. God bless all
Normally, I change my oil engine very low mileage like 6-7000 miles. I don’t keep my engine oil hit to 10,000 miles like they recommended.
@@wefixit5906 Funny on how I was gonna have my oil changed and then go to dealer to have that service done, but I remembered what yo mentioned here about changing the oil afterwards. So I guess I read it somewhere and it was right. I just hope the dealer knows if I ask for this service and oil change that they do the oil change last.
@@rickrodriguez5875 well, some guys didn’t know what they are doing. It could happen. If it happen dealer still collect money from the owner of the car. I hope that is not the case.
All true but while the solution is in the oil it breaks down the carbon in the piston. But then the oil has carbon deposits in it. I think that they recommend driving another 500 miles before changing the oil.
How do the carbon deposits end up in the oil?
Now done this twice in 3000 miles. Easy job. Just connected carb cleaner to 4mm rubber hose to can long enough to sit in the car and rev with foor
Used it. Didn't really do much. Still stumbles under hard acceleration. Going to try another brand cleaner and further investigate.
Might as well check the coil on your car.
Did you reattach the vacuum hose before revivng it up 3 times or do you rev it immediately after finishing the can with the hose still attach to can ??
you need to put it back before you ram up your car.
@@wefixit5906 Ahhh you’re the best man, thanx for great video can you do more maintenance videos on EarthDreams Gen 9 engines ??
@@G9Classified9 yes soon if you are requested.
@@wefixit5906 Cool Thanks a lot
@@wefixit5906did you turn the engine off when you detached the can or did you detach the can and attach the hose while the engine still running.
Do you use the whole can??
Yes the whole can
@@wefixit5906 awesome thank you
My car has no vacuum inlet in the manifold. It only has one beside the throttle body so it will go through the MAP sensor and IAT sensor
Sorry. I don’t know if I can help with that or not. Just try to find it. Or you can try to spray it in front of throttle body, but it might break your MAP sensor. I see some car can do it. It’s up to you. My suggestion just leave it the way it is.
Why are you spraying it into the check valve?
What if there is a Vaccum leak while injecting this stuff into brake booster hose? Is it gonna make any signicant difference I wonder
I don't know too. sorry I can't answer this question.
Do you change the engine oil immediately after this service? Or do you wait a couple of hundred miles/kms before you change the oil?
If you have time, you can change it right away. It’s better.
Did you also have the CRC can taped to the hose on the car before you started the car to start running the cleaner through? I’ve heard the engine needs to be at operating temperature before the cleaners are passed through
@@lji2000 yep and the engine need to be warm first before you put the cleaner into the engine.
@@wefixit5906 Thank you. Planning on tackling this next weekend.
Does your Honda Accord front brakes tend to run hot? I just got a 2017 manual and I notice that both front brakes are very hot after driving. IDK if it is normal in these cars. Will you please let me know? Thanks!
well, if you take out the brake pads and see one of the pairs is lower than the other one. meaning that your caliper bolt getting too dry. if it is, just take out and clean it with brake cleaner also apply some silicone paste. then, it will show the result.
@@wefixit5906 thanks, my front right disc was warped new one is working as expected
@@chulaida I’m glad to heard that.
Perhaps u have a seize caliper
Is this the fuel induction service?
Thank you so much for posting the video. Where is the EGR valve location for 2014 2.4 L Honda Accord? Thanks.
Did you ever find this? I was unable
Year old comment, but there is no EGR valve. The VTC system eliminates the need for an EGR valve by advancing the cam.
How about hybrids? How can I keep 3000rpm without driving? When you step on gas paddle in natural it’s not going to go any up. Help plz
I believe this type of Valve cleaning service needs to be done every 10,000 to 15,000 miles.
Yes, you are right. However, I don't have time to do it as they recommend. I like to do it once a year if I have time.
@@wefixit5906 that's okay, once-a-year should work just as well👍
do you check you spark plugs and PCV valve afterwards to see if they're fouled up?
I don’t have tools to see it. However, after I changed it, I feel much better for my car. It is so smoother
Is this safe to do toy 2017 honda accord sport looking to do after I change out my coolant
Yep it is.
Don’t forget to change oil after you do it.
@@wefixit5906 will do thank ypu so much
Are these Hondas GDIs
yes
Hello everyone, Can someone tell me the name of that bar that the Honda Accord has. (bar that leads next to the shock absorbers) thank you...
strut bar
@@jamaicajohnson4510 Thank you…
Mine doesn't smoke. Looks like my valves is too clean
Maybe. it's better if your car doesn't have a smoke to come out. addition, you should change engine oil.
Same here no smoke at all… I have 50,000kms now
@@fuzooli maybe your car valve is clean?
@@wefixit5906 it’s a 2018 Accord..I felt a bit smooth in ride but everything was normal.
@@fuzooli yep after you doing that, don’t forget to change your oil engine.
help me can you show me a way to clean my hrv 2020 were is the locations for vaccum hose is it better to remove the bottom one or the top were the plastic is help me please what is your email i show u the photos on my engine
How many miles for cleaning you need
it depends on your gasoline. I did mine for 100k, and it helps my engine a lot. I recommend that you should put a fule injector before you do it.
@@wefixit5906 i put 89 and some times 93 never regular in my accord 2017
@@joelrodriguez7038 That's good. you don't have to put a fuel injector if you use premium gas. Just try it one bottle you will the differences.
@@wefixit5906 thanks brother
Hey be careful with that product i used it 3 times after that my check engine light came on p420 code i had to get a new catalyst converter n in live in CA cost me 1200 bucks to replace fyi some bs it happened last winter
Thank you. I just used it one time.
That’s the comment I am looking for , I was questioning what happened to the junk particles after it released! No way to do it in my car !
@@Salehyya they get burned off that is the white smoke from the exhaust.
Only do this 1 time!
@@litmotollc7799 Exactly!
A car with under 25k don't think it needs this unless you using really cheap gas or cheap air filters, just saying.
These cars with direct injected engines are not cleaned in the back of the intake valves like port injected engines. You can use the best gas or fuel system cleaners but they will do nothing to clean the valves. That’s why this service needs to be done with direct injected engines. B
I’ll remove my exhaust if I use this product. Seems to pricey on that catalytic converter, I run supreme every other fill up.
Gas doesn’t reach the back side of the valves in this engine design. You’re wasting money buying supreme.
@@cm1133 Exactly!, only port injection does.
Oh, I'm boring.....🤔
I highly suggest you take out that crap earth dreams engine and put in a decent engine 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
