Honestly Mewtwo's long battlecry is probably going to add more to the time than most things.
...at least it isn't Jynx's... oy vey that'll burn into your memory with the length of it.
Yeah, I need to mod a ko battle cry run and see how much time is saved.
@@alphax4785 it could be possibly skipped right?
With the low health beeping* glitch it could bypass the waiting time of it i think.
@@RBYPokemonChallenges i just checked the wr speedrun and yeah nidoking gets to act while still halfway in its battlecry because of low hp beeps.
@@Nitosa Taking enough hits to be reaching red bar and staying in it? Would be surprised if that gained speed to be honest.

Scrolled down to find this comment. Was not disappointed.
The most surprising thing of this run is Oak somehow catching *this* in a presumably regular pokeball in a single try.
He is a legend
@@dieuwtjin I mean, he is Samuel Oak (the kid Ash goes back in time and saves). He probably just repainted a master ball.
@@dieuwtjin He got a critical capture. =V
@@DataDrain02 With that luck Prof Oak should become a professional shiny hunter

"Who wouldn't wanna get flashed by Sabrina"
I-
I... Fair enough, i suppose
My favorite part was when you'd save the game before a fight.
Mostly for routing because I'm so bad at button inputs
Prof. Oak, who is apparently aware of Mewtwo's existence as it's in his Pokedex, hands over the abomination against Mon, Man, and Arceus to a 10 year old to commit crimes.
Sounds like a weird alternate story for how Team Plasma started...
Professor Oak is where it all begins....
Actually, he might have been thinking about Mew, but we ran into Mewtwo instead.
This of course leads to the obvious question of how a run would go if every pokemon in the game had the exact same BST.
The pokemon themselves would no longer matter at that point because they are all equal so you'd want a team with very good move coverage and good growth rate
It would make the game massively harder honestly, you'd be relying on 100% luck in battle to outspeed and deal crits
@@nothingtoseehere9648 it would only be like that until a little bit after Brock. At that point stat experience and extra levels are going to lead to you perpetually outpacing everything
@nothingtoseehere9648 it would also make stat experience a huge deal.
@@ericsegura4977 check the Mewtwo fight at the end of this video. Even with badge boost, EVs and IVs, the other Mewtwo was stronger. If base stats are high enough and your level is lower, itt could easily be very interesting
@@Cyber_Cheese that has absolutely no practical implication on a playthrough. Even the slow leveling group with one pokemon will still put you well within the average level range of the champion by the time you reach him.
The starting of this actually makes some sense, mewtwo at birth escaped viridian city gym and headed south but was caught off guard by oak.
Damn, you nailed that! I should have noted that in the intro.
Bro leaves home and got his first pokemon on his 10th birthday, become regional champion by lunch time on the same day
Nidoking might be the 255BST title contender with perfect coverage and Medium Slow growth rate.
True. I considered it, but figured we should go with the GOAT Pokemon first
The hero of the glitchless run is always a contender.
A pokemon like poliwhirl or ghastly would probably be better since they can beat brock fast without needing to level up. if a non resisted psychic didn't one shot onix, then normal moves are definitely not gonna one shot. A water type is probably gonna be the best since they always have ice coverage and stab surf. Poliwhirl also gets physical moves, hypnosis, and amnesia.
Victreebel?
Mew. All TMs means you get ALL the coverage
I'll go with an unorthodox suggestion for a perfect stats mon with Dewgong. Ice is a great Type for these runs, and it starts with Aurora Beam and Headbutt.
That is a fair idea.
They were gonna let mewtwo fly, they gave him a custom flight animation in pokemon stadium in the code.
I wish they let him fly :/
Psychic Flying Pokemon is actually Mewtwo confirmed.
@@RBYPokemonChallenges lugia proves they wanted to make it.
Clearly meant for Metronome fights. That or they meant to do it for Mew. Who knows? The first gen games were a mess of code. I wonder if Mew's random insertion into another part of the code caused any issues.
If it's the animation I'm thinking of, Mewtwo also flies on the mode select screen in Pokemon Stadium where you select "Vs. Mewtwo". If they made that his flying animation in battle as well, that'd be a very cool move on the part of the devs.
I remember having a mewtwo with amnesia, barrier, psychic, and rest. I would do three barriers and amnesias, rest until i did three of each, then one shot just about everything with boosted psychics. Other mons barely sxratched my Mewtwo... good times.
Ah yeah! Outside of a Critical Hit, nobody could touch Mewtwo in that situation!
The funny part is, unless I'm misremembering, you're only 20% more likely to hit blizzard than crit ice beam, so it honestly might not be worth the time to pick up/teach since the only things that die to blizzard but not ice beam also easily die to ice beam crit anyway.
@@eaglest0554 Hitting Blizzard is a 90% chance in Gen 1
@SNWWRNNG I forgot whether it was that or the freeze chance changed between the Japanese and international versions.
The freeze chance changed between Japanese and International releases. planning a Green run one of these days to have some Blizzard shenanigans
Now do the Weedle with 0 stats.
weedle with 1 everything but w lv limit removed and see what lv is required to beat the game(or the game dies)
I'm hearing level 255, 0 base stats Weedle....
Normal Weedle it is then 😂
Level beyond 100 is a good idea though, I can edit the ROM if needed.
@@RBYPokemonChallenges
New idea: You can use it's evolutions moves.
Because that might just be impossible.
@@neuchatelxanaxin that case, there is no point doing the whole game. I think weedle has been proven capable of reaching the elite 4, so you might as well start at the elite 4 with a level 100 and go from there.
Now you have me wondering: which Pokegod would have the best time? Basically reduces it to type, growth rate, and moveset. Victreebell honestly has a really good shot of beating GodTwo, for example, because medium slow and it *starts with Razor Leaf*.
I need to dig up those old geocities websites about Pokegods from the old days and make them as a challenge series
That's a good one, but I believe the best would naturally be a water/ice pokegod with surf, icebeam and some coverage move
@xAnonymousComedia Funny enough, what I've seen of water-type solo challenges generally suggests that Surf kinda actually sucks in Gen1.
@@WillowEpp That's mostly because you can't ever delete it, so if the Pokémon needs that slot for setup moves, it can never learn Surf. But a 255 stat Pokémon probably only needs one setup move at most so it should be fine.
JRose has so thoroughly corrupted me that cannot not hear "Rival Fival" every single time.
Yeah, and at the same time I really can't say "Rival Fival" without a flood of comments about copying Jrose 😂. But I feel ya!
Finally, the hardest hitting videogames investigative journalism asking real questions.
I'm coming for all the Pokemon professors' jobs 😂
I'm sure a lot of us imagined Mewtwo to be this busted when we first saw it.
Basically, yeah. The first Pokemon. movie only made it seem even moreso.
16:15 Who wouldn't wanna be flashed by Sabrina 😂😂
Exactly.
I see you are a man of culture as well
Brock's intro was longer that the fight itself 😂
When the hype is not worth the fight, I've seen a few of those before tbf.
Mewtwo is ridiculously OP with max stats, but in all fairness, Mew is the best.
It has a weaker starting moveset, but it does not matter too much with 255 in all stats, and max DV's, since Mew can learn ANY TM, and it has the benefit of having a medium-slow level up curve, so you get a lot stronger, much faster.
Mew has the added perk of being able to learn Earthquake, which is arguably the best physical move.
Best TM routing:
Water Gun (easily accessible in Mt.Moon) > Bubblebeam > Body Slam (the one optional battle you need) > Thunderbolt > Ice Beam > Psychic (allows you to skip waiting to level 40) > Earthquake (last 4 will be the final moveset)
Use PP-Ups on the three moves with 10 PP, to allow you to sweep the League without needing to use any restoring items.
My record is 2:20 of game time (translates to around 35 minutes of real time at 4x speed). I also play on normal game speed.
Also, for a speed-run route, these checkmarks can help:
1. Follow the minimum battles route
2. Use Poké Doll skip on the ghost Marowak, to save time from having to go through the Rocket Game Corner.
3. You can dig out from Blaine's gym
4. After battling the Karate King in Viridian Gym, exit through the door to reset him, allowing you to skip the spinning tiles in the gym.
All good tips for the speedrunning route. Well try it!
now imagine if this could be level 255
then again its stats would certainly overflow
I need to try that. Emulator might really crash that time.
@@RBYPokemonChallenges If I remember correctly from the MissingNo. glitch, I think any Pokémon you catch over level 100 just reverts back to level 100 whenever the Pokemon gains XP in battle.
@@Evilpengwinz78 It's whenever the Pokemon would level up. You'd need to use Rare Candies every level to keep it above 100.
Right, do we turn off EXP so it never levels up and give it a level above 100 and use Rare candies to get it to Lv 255.
Now we need a fast growth rate Pokémon with a decent enough movepool at 255 stats and THAT will finish fastest.
Edit: it seems the medium-slow growth rate would be best. Also the typing for STAB
And give it a 255 power attack. (Assuming it doesn't lead to regular overflows)
it's actually Medium-Fast that needs the least exp to hit lv100 from what I found out.
EDIT: he also pointed out that medium-slow is effectively better cause it needs the least exp up to lv60
@@DarkFrozenDepthsI feel like you only need up to level 60ish, it's honestly probably the early game that's the biggest difference maker. (For example, even with 255 attack, a lot of pokemon with only physical moves would take a few turns per pokemon on Brock.)
@@eaglest0554 yeah, I edited my comment when I saw that part in the vid. medium slow is actually the best growth rate for gen 1 pokemon since it needs the least exp to hit lv60 out of all of them
jigglypuff stocks are finally up
Ah, the ol' NewDad% Speedrun. Nice!
I havnt even watched the video yet but using my knowledge AND the fact the video is almost half the time of 0 base stat mewtwo, Im going to wager a guess VERY busted lol
I am going to predict that you nailed this prediction lol
could lore accurate Mewtwo win the pokemon games, yes we already know this. but the time score is interesting!
Yeah, I don't think we're shattering anyone's expectations, other than not OHKOing everything...
You should try a run like this, but with Chansey instead.
Imagine a bulky and absolutely crushingly strong Chansey breezing through the game while tanking everything on 600+ HP. Not to mention that pretty much all her physical moves are Normal-type in gen I, giving to her actual damage on moves like Egg Bomb with 255 Attack and Defense stats
This sounds hilarious and fun. Maybe sometime 😂
This video is basically Mewpwn's revenge, he hit the gym
Yes, thanks for the callback to our boy MewPwn!
Answer: extremely OP. Pre-watch, pretty sure this Mewtwo doesn't lose to anything and might not even need a single TM. Only resets, if any, will be routing errors.
Ah, so this is a speed effort. Basically what happens if Mewtwo gets the zoomies. Cats become superpowered when they get the zoomies, so Tubecat here will of course ascend to the demigod status that he deserves.
Good Pokémon for a max-stats run? Here's a few things I'm thinking of:
-Of course I'm gonna suggest Nidoking, because that's probably the ideal candidate.
-Marowak has a surprising amount of coverage options.
-Rhydon could be interesting because while it has the 4x weakness to Water and Grass, it also has a lot of coverage and having super-high special could mitigate that. It's in the Slow level-up group, but it would be interesting to see how much type match-up affects a run like this.
-I still think Pidgey would be a good experiment as a sort of "worst viable option" run as far as moveset goes since it pretty much gets nothing other than Normal and Flying, meaning it barely has anything for type coverage.
-One I'm sure will resonate with you: let's make your legendary boy Arcanine TRULY legendary!
-I'd be curious to see how something like Beedrill performs. It's got more options than Weedle but not a lot of great ones, but it would be interesting to see how far moves like Fury Attack and Pin Missile could carry you.
I think some Pokemon like Beedrill, Arcanine and Rhydon would be so much fun!
Oak doing the desperation roars in an attempt to hope against hope that he won't have to face it is pretty funny to be honest.
You uploaded right in time. The Tyson v. Paul streaming servers are atrocious!
I was going to check the fight highlights later.
@@oelboy I'd rather gnaw off my own hand than watch one of those Paul cunts.
I would be delighted to see Hitmonchan or Chansey with 255 stats. I don't think anything can top Mewtwo, but those two pokemon would crush with better Special and Attack respectively.
Hitmonchan that can use the elemental punches for coverage with maxed Special would be a sight to see
Both sounds really fun!
What if our Pikachu starter got a stat buff from LGPE:
HP 35 -> 45
Atk 55 -> 80
Def 40 -> 55
Spec 50 -> ~68 (Average of 75 Sp Atk and 60 Sp Def)
Spd 90 -> 120
Added Moves: Fly (instead of Floaty Fall) at Level 6, Surf (instead of Splishy Splash) at Level 6 and Double Kick at Level 9
This is a fun idea to try!
Note that in gen 1, pokemon cannot learn multiple moves via level up on the same level up, so you'd need to delay one of the level 6 moves by a level
For sure. It would be like a 6 and 7 or something like that.
It would be interesting to see how quickly you could beat a perfect score run with this Mewtwo:
- No resets
- No optionals
- No TMs
I can do that!
Psychic is always stronger than bubblebeam.
Yeah, except against something like Rhydon, but it has no special anyhow
Tbh, I was worried about this mon not being able to finish the game at all!
The emulator initially didn't want it to happen
The good thing about the 2nd run is that you can subtract this from all others runs to better compare different Pokémon, as Godtwo time.
For sure. It's now the baseline for future challenges.
I'm just gonna say it since noticed it: When the image for Lance was shown, you can see part of it around his hand/arm that shows white, when I imagine you wanted to have the entirety of everything around Lance transparent. Figure would mention it for any future videos later on
Yeah, it's in the list of updates for the new overlay that's in the works right now.
5:01 Ah, yes, my favorite location in Gen 1:

6:27 The greatest Pokemon that's ever lived
Hey, if you're reading comments here, I have a suggestion for this kind of "max stat" challenge: Clefable. For 2 reasons: it has a very deep movepool, even in Gen 1, and it is in the Fast level-up group.
The major downside is its starting movepool, you would have to rely on Metronome to get through Brock quickly, but as soon as you get to Mt. Moon, you can get Mega Punch and Water Gun, so if you reset for a good Brock fight, this could be one of the fastest possible runs.
I like the logic. It could be worth a test!
Gary's intro took more time than the battle itself 😂
Less action than the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight lol
Mewtwo has such a massive weakness, its cry takes forever.
fair enough
i feel changing the growth rate to medium slow or fast would've made this truly the perfect pokemon
That is something to try
If you do this in GSC we've gotta have the God-tier Ratatta. And then challenge Joey to determine who has the true best Ratatta.
Lol, sounds epic!
What if you changed the experience group? How much faster would it be?
I imagine just a little. We mostly OHKOed opponent's, but it could have made a difference in the fights that weren't OHKOs
I would love to see a “Snorlax on Caffeine” run with perfect stats Snorlax.
So what, he has Agility and Rage?
Love watching your channel grow recently. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I'll keep doing my best!
Run idea. Anime logic run. Make electric attacks 1x or 2x effective against ground type so Pikachu can attack the horn
I have been thinking the same thing. Let's do it! A Pikachu plot-armor run
@@RBYPokemonChallenges I wanna see that badly. A sort of vindication for Jessie+James for chasing after this 1 Pikachu throughout the show's run and even show off how Pikachu managed to electrocute Geodude early on.

@@RBYPokemonChallenges yeah i personally ALWAYS turn them off nowadays (im so impatient lmao) but it's nice to see :)
When GodTwo is so fast & strong the only thing it loses to is literally itself!
Facts! I had to try to beat our Level 70 doppelganger
If only mewtwo had the medium-slow growth rate. Then it’d be perfect
Truly Perfect, the Slow level-up group is the only thing that ever held it back.
"it didnt make that big of a difference to have short names and animations off in this one" Gonna have to disagree with you there, 3 minutes at 4x Speed is a massive time save
Fair enough, but like I was mentioning at the end, it's more in terms of I guess my imagined time save but then again with any normal run the difference would add up much more
One time, my buddy made a Mewtwo Egg by mistake, and he didn't want to raise it after it hatched, so I got a low level baby Mewtwo. It was a fun game to start with him in the party.
And I personally love the glitch where the text pops up instantly... So. Much. Faster. Than. When. It. Scrolls. Along. And. Makes. You. Wait. For. Them. To. Talk. 😭
What about a Perfect Stat Scyther?! And we'd have to right the many psychotic GameFreak wrongs of giving our mighty GreenBoi the ability to Fly, because he has ¶∆¶∆ing wings, and deserves to Fly...
Yeah instant text would speed everything up. Perfect Stat Flying Scyther sounds incredible!
2 suggestions from me. Try the 255 stats with a ditto OR do mewtwo again with max stat experience and fast level up.
I like both ideas
Crazy there is a speed run of normal Mewtwo that is faster than this. Goes to show the extra stats are overkill
I can agree. I am not a speedrunner per se, and this isn't pre-routed or optimized in any way, so I imagine this one could be much faster with proper optimizations.
Nidoking may be the closest rival. It gets every good TM, is in the Medium Slow exp group, and starts with Thrash, which is great for sweeping through trainers without spending PP (thereby minimizing healing), but it might have some trouble with Brock. And even if it is PP-efficient, Thrash is no replacement for STAB Psychic, even with a few extra levels. STAB Earthquake comes pretty late.
I looked through all of Gen 1’s Pokédex to be sure, and there’s just nothing in a better experience group that can compete with Mewtwo’s starting movepool of STAB Psychic complemented by backup attacks to conserve PP.
That is kind of the issue. A lot of other Pokemon with good starting movepools suffer from lack of type coverage late or have worse moves early that they have to make up for later. Still, I plan to try a coupke
@@RBYPokemonChallenges Yeah. If I were committed to trying others, I'd be looking at Nidoking, Poliwrath, and MAYBE Dugtrio and Victreebel.
Based on some very quick and rough math, there are only brief moments - all before Cerulean City - where the level advantage from a better growth rate will outweigh a good STAB move early, let alone good coverage overall. There aren't many Pokemon that start with a strong STAB move (Mewtwo, Articuno, Dugtrio, Victreebel, and arguably Vileplume, Cloyster, Snorlax, and Dewgong), and even fewer of them ever get decent coverage. Looking at good eventual coverage, very few of those Pokemon also start with ANY strong move at all (Mewtwo, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Poliwrath, Snorlax, and arguably Slowbro and Dugtrio). There's no Pokemon that possesses the full trifecta (good starting set + good coverage + good growth rate), and Mewtwo's set of advantages seem like the best combination in a vacuum. 🤷
1:34 PLAYING A VIDEO GAME FOR FUN WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH YOU lol
Seriously, it's an insane concept I know 😂
These runs are great I'm glad I found this channel.
Hoping to see a run of Persian which is my favorite pokemon lmao.
Thank you for watching! Persian sounds like a fun one!
Gen 1 did allow you to max out all EV’s, so this is just any Mewtwo in an ubers match.
I think your confusing Stat Exp and Base Stats. Stat Exp (Gen 1 EVs) max out at +64 per stat at level 100
Sometimes, when life's getting you down, you gotta go on a powertrip!!
Now I'm wondering...how low a level could a max-stats Mewtwo (or any Pokémon) clear every required battle? Maybe turn off EXP and bump up levels one at a time as needed. Or, start every battle at a low level and bump up per fight (so you might effectively level _down_ if a later fight is easier).
No mid-battle level-ups would make badge boosts more OP, but maybe that would be part of the strategy!
I like this logic. I have had a similar idea in my head before, but not with such an OP Pokemon.
Is it crazy to think you could win at level 20? You’ll just probably level up beyond that
It would be interesting to see the lowest level this Pokemon could beat the Champion, like if we just stood in front of him starting at level 5 and just added Rare Candies until we could beat him.
Alt. title: "Pokémon: Journalist Edition"
This is top notch stuff, I should work on CNN's Pokemon division...
Awesome video! I think the best Pokémon would be to hax in the 255 stats, medium slow growth rate, start with ice beam, thunderbolt, earthquake and hyper beam and give yourself Ice Ground typing. Monster Missingno
Sounds insanely OP. I like it!
Every time I see the gym leader cards highlight bROCK, MISTy and Lt. SURGE, I brace myself for gioVANni and get let down
Missed opportunity....
I cant remember, have you done a vs video with perfect stats vs perfect ivs/dvs, because Im curious to know.
I have not. But perfect DVs don't hold a candle to perfect stats. DVs add at most +30 to a stat
Yes because Gen 1 Mewtwo wasn't already bonkers enough, let's outfit him with the Pokemon equivalent of the Infinity Gauntlet and have him Thanos snap Kanto
The interesting thing is that it still doesn't OHKO everything...
You should do a run with a maxed out mew, 1 character name, no animations. Since Mew can learn every TM/HM, that is theoretically the fastest possible way to beat the game.
Definitely can see it. The reason I went Mewtwo is because Mew starts with only Pound, so Brock would take longer, but the question is how much that early game would slow things down.
Only way to make mewtwo stronger is if you change its level up group to fast
And a second typing for more stab dmg.
Agreed on both points. Honestly Psychic/Normal with Fast LU Group would be the most OP Pokemon in Gen 1.
@@RBYPokemonChallenges Are you sure normal would be the best type to add, though?
37:06 Looks like your move animations turned back on for the final champion fight somehow?
They were definitely off for the rest of the E4, so feels a bit weird.
Obviously doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things if it's 1 short battle, but definitely worth bearing in mind if you're doing more "speedrun-ny" style videos.
Putting that aside, it was still fun getting to see and compare the two runs like that. Very cool
I didn't mention it, but in Gen 1 the animations are always on on the Champion fight. They actually can't be turned off just for that one. It's part of Gen 1 being Gen 1, guys like Scotts Thoughts and Jrose have to deal with it every time
@RBYPokemonChallenges Ah, of course. Not a bug I knew about, but yeah, that sounds exactly like gen 1. I probably should have guessed tbh. 😂
@@Nyaarys It's not a bug, it's intentional.
They wanted the Champion fight to feel more epic by forcing the animations whether you liked them or not 😂
So a 3 minute difference at 4x speed is like 12 minutes of real time difference. That is a whole lot of time save for a 2ish hour run. The SMB runners will do like 6 sub pixel frame perfect tricks just to save 2 frames.
That is true. I've never had the focus to do that, which is why it's really impressive to watch some of the world record runs when there's a good breakdown of the specific strategies
Mega Mewtwo Z cooked as hard as expected
Missed opportunity to name is MegaMewZ
Oh, he did my suggestion!
Thank you for the good suggestion. I just had to try it!
If you fight the lass you have to fight the bug catcher because she blocks the way, she is the optional battle
Nah, you walk back to Pewter and the trainer positions reset.
Very balanced
You might say... perfectly balanced?
16:18 that’s a hell of a sentence.
Nailed it 😂
Speed runners beat the game in 1 hour 45 minutes and they use X-Accuracy with Drill Peck 1 hit KO on an under-leveled Nidoking
I would love to see Nidoking use Drill Peck, but yeah Horn Drill with X Accuracy is completely broken and why solo runners ban items in battle in their runs
He finally did it! This should be good.
And nice to see two videos in one! We're spoiled.
Cheers, wanted to add a little more to it, and had fun in the process
Considering you need a Pokémon, no other team uses poliwhirl seems the best contender.
Earthquake
Surf
Ice Beam
Psychic or Amnesia for Lorelei
Poliwhirl is definitely an amazing option!
What would happen if we took this perfect pokemon and pit it against a perfect world?
255 base stat Mewtwo vs. 255 base stat world
Sounds horrible and like he'd *need* to focus on getting vitamins
Sounds insane 😂
My immediate thoughts: "Stop, stop. He's already dead 😢".
But i guess it's a good way to set the golden standard. One that even back ports would probably not be able to achieve.
Yeah, this is basically just one last one for the books to say we did it with the weakest and strongest Pokemon so we have a basic idea of how it looks overall. If I do another it's going to be a Pokemon that gets some TMs, but doesn't have a lot of coverage.
@@RBYPokemonChallenges oh I enjoyed it. no worries on my end. I was just describing what Lore Accurate Mewtwo was doing to all those poor pokemon 😂
He should just start with all 8 gym badges and a note saying "We surrender - Kanto Pokemon league" now let's do a Rhydon max stats run 😅
Sounds like Pokemon Rusty with his god-tier Bidoof
Wow, another video, we are getting spoiled, how is he making these so fa-- oh, perfect Mewtwo? That makes sense.
I like that Brock's Onyx wasn't a 1 hit KO. Movie Mewtwo while in training famously destroyed that Onyx in Giovani's gym, but that was some rando trainer. Brock is a gym leader, so he should have a better an Onyx that can stand up just a bit more than rando trainer's Onyx against perfect Mewtwo while in training (low level).
Yeah, I'm just making videos wherever I have time.
I like your Onix head-cannon, Brock deserves his respect for surviving one hit at least
Video is 44 minutes, yeah that should be about right 😂
Woah it was faster!
Yeah, did it twice just because I was kind of interested in how much animations make a difference in practice
Mew with max stats would be the most intereeting.
Oh and to be even crazier make mew normal type
This sounds incredibly interesting.
What are you using for your stat, damage, and move tracking? That's not all done by hand is it? One reason I ask is that it's very impressive, but The power of leech life is off in it, it's not 80bp until much later gens.
Also, it might have been really risky and affected scoring, but adding red bar into the run would have been interesting as well.
Really interesting run over all.
Yeah Red bar would have made it much faster. The overlay is a script I've written, so there could have been an accidental x4 for super effectiveness instead of a x2 or something. I'll look into it. Thanks for pointing it out!
@@RBYPokemonChallengesoh it was probably stabb+ super effective then? I think it was a Butterfree or a venomoth during the second run shown in a rival fight or a gym leader battle.
I didn't realize that the power of the moves could change based on the type effectiveness, but that's really cool.
I would love to see the script at some point if that's something you're willing to share.
The crazy part is that actual speedrunners are beating the game faster on any% glitchless (if i factor in your 4x speed anyway)
For sure. I am not really a speedrunner, just doing it for my own information really.
@RBYPokemonChallenges yeah, I figured godtwo would get a lot closer purely on account of being godtwo, still a great video though!
I'm sure with more work on its routing this is sub-30 minutes on 4x speed. I don't Pokedoll skip for one thing, I likely grabbed unnecessary items including some of the Rare Candies, I'm sure there are plenty of minor routing mistakes and input mistakes that add up pretty significantly.
@RBYPokemonChallenges True. Still, makes me wonder what a proper runner could do with this godtwo. Sounds like it would be insane
Perfect stats Chansey would be fun to watch
That's a second vote for Chansey. I imagine it's STAB moves finally being useful.
This channel is so underrated
Thank you, this comment made my day!
@RBYPokemonChallenges ur welcome
