It's incredible the power of music to take us back to days long, long gone. History writers are so mediocre and inept describing it. They can only provide the reader with figures, dates, names of clown politicians, fortunately long forgotten or totally unknown to contemporaneous audiences. Music has the magic of making us feel the mood, the social atmosphere, the hopes and dreams of that generation.
This is a great selection of music. I work in an old building. I heard tales of spirits roaming the halls and have had my share of experiences. So on occasion I like to play some music while I work to communicate. Let them know I know they're there. And the music is filled with merriment so I like it too.
@@pax41 I was born in Arequipa - Perú, and I still living here. My grandpa was italian, and since ever we hear some romantic songs from Carlo Buti and others. Thanks again, and kindest regards
David, if you like this post then you will like this one. It was my first Live Stream from a month ago and has British and American bands in it. ruclips.net/video/r1mJg1wt-mY/видео.html
I will be broadcasting 3 Live shows tomorrow. They will be at 10AM, 2PM and 5PM Central time and each will feature a different period of music. Hope you can tune in.
Hearing this rendition makes me realise how wonderful was Bing. The song was rushed through with no thought to the meaning of the words. But, true, it is an interesting comparison.
An interesting selection and some very good quality Tracks ..! Early memories of these tunes issuing from the big old walnut Radiogram , and the old folks saying approvingly : "At last ! - Something you can DANCE to !"
Oh thank you for this Supremely nonthreatening music that transports me into the fantasy that everything is OK. Thank you so much for your contribution to everyone’s day who listens
LisaKillz 18...We're all listening and agreeing. Mostly, everything wasn't OK when they recorded these things. The Depression? When times are terrible, somehow they can create magic to block the misery.
So I would assume you are an artist Jo. I love the vintage art of the period, the graphics were so detailed and vibrant then. Be great to see your work.
Golly, there was some beautiful music back then... I so wish I had a time machine. This would be one of the eras I'd definitely visit. Thank you so much for uploading, so that I can experience this :)

You could call this thing you're speaking on, a time machine. You aren't there, except in your imagination, but there is where you return (or visit) when you hear this sound.
Bob, it's really great to be able to rely on your excellent musical taste in putting these programs together; this latest is a strong reminder of your consistency. Favorites for me have to be the two Harry Roy sides, Madhattan Melody Makers (I love "For You"; always good to hear another treatment), Savoy Hotel Orpheans' "Will Love Find a Way," and Billy Cotton. ... Also, I like the dramatic "If I Should Lose You" intro to the show.
Elizabeth you guessed my intro song, knew you would. I think that Himber opening is perfect for an intro so selected it as my channels theme song. Thank you as always for your kind words.
I just came to this page to try and pay my respects to the dead (who will not seem to stop helping me in a weird way for some reason... I guess it is because I understand that THIS IS THEIR HEAVEN NOW! and they also need us to be emotionally healthy and happy all the way around every emotion without making matters worse for others for those sleeping and connecting to us on the other side of the planet as well. I had a question for the unknown... or maybe more of a prayer asking if I had time to see a certain person before she had passed. The reaction at first was angry at the temptations which come from a certain spot but the solution which was how effective their test was for women potentially (so long as he sticks to One truth for her or whatever... and does not become a multiplying cheating lying, etc.). My girlfriend said the number 15 which pulled up this video... and I prayed while it seemed that every note responded to my thoughts... the random spot which I had picked was somewhere around 15:00... Jaw Wilbur came on. Music for your day in the Sun. I started with a Muslim prayer (I just do it for a few seconds while stretching in the morning toward the Sun then I try and immediately get back to work!) and then of course the rest of the day trying to improve Christianity on a spiritual high, making a better Heaven possible for the dead, etc.
Love these music memories come up. Where have the good years gone? Life is so short that it was still music. Unfortunately, today they take off their clothes on stage to pull people into theirs.

It's something words can't express (an old phrase, that). Something you feel and know inside. I can't describe it more than that. What do you think?

Valeu!
This sweet voice could only Elsie's. (Track 2). I'd know her anywhere. Why can't people live forever?
Oh how I wish this was the music 🎶 of the 21st century!!Best wishes from the Disunited Kingdom! Keep up the good work.
Why is it the Disunited Kingdom Peter? I think the same could be said about here, the Disunited States.
Oh, Peter, so do I. You lived without it for a long time until the advent of RUclips, etc. Better late than never.

Track 1: Just One More Chance. Bing Crosby's song. No one does it better, but still nice to hear another version. Thank you for uploading, Pax41.
