This is a classic reason why anyone with a PowerStroke needs to watch your videos. Any of us could perform this job but it is not obvious how to get the old one apart. Most of us were taught not to hit new parts with a mallot.
Thanks pal!!!!!🙌💯
Nice vid as usual. I see that it still has the older fuel line manifold with the fuel heater that was deleted for 2006 and newer trucks. I still remember upselling LCF water separator knob style drains on these trucks. Man oh man, the memories of wrenching on these old beasts. And then the 6.7 came out.... and our workload took a drastic nosedive.
LCFs oh mannnn
Another 6 ohhhhhhhhh. There's that chill background music again...
Even the little stuff is great! Thanks for the ride!
Damn she nasty. Good fix, glad I haven't had to deal with this yet.
Thanks for bringing us along Arod. It's cool to see a professional at work.
Thanks mister Logan 🙌
I like how you take extra pains to clean up the area, put a little dielectric grease in the plug, and verify no leaks. A lot of techs would just shove in the new sensor and be on to the next job. Nice 6-liter truck, too. They sound great.
Thanks Tyler, appreciate that
Six ohhhhhhh still on the road! Nice
That’s a nice ride 👍🏻❤️
Great job,easy explanation😊
Wow that was a simple fix but still a good video ARod thanks buddy
Nice! Mine just started this week. I'll be getting this squared away asap! Thanks for the vid!
Stay locked to PTT Mr. Rand
Another job well done bud
Thank you my guy!
I had not seen this repair before, thanks man!
Thanks 4 stopin thru homie
Great informative video as usual! You don’t sound like a salesman like some other powerstroke (help) RUclips channels.
💯👌👊🤣🤣🤣 i feeeeeel yaaaaaa
Nice I tried just removing drain plug like I seen in other videos and it didn’t work, I’ll try this , thank you
Awesome video bro. As Adam sandler always a little tappy tap tap
Great how to stuff, thanks!!
Thnx pal
Very good info
Thank you. In my truck right now this error code just flashed up 2006 f250 6.0. I wasn’t sure how to change it or what it was now I do thank you again
EXCELLENT PRESENTATION THANKS
🤝🙏🤝
Another great vid. When you get a chance would love to see some rear end rebuilds.
Thats an area i do not do sryyy
Change that diff fluid every 60K miles max and you should be good!
Very Good!...
I always dreaded pulling the drain plug the damn thing would pull the threads. I haven’t drained my HFCM in years I run the grey bottle Power service in my fuel never have issues with water. I run so much in my fuel the cetane level is high enough I rarely need glow plugs truck just flashes up 😉 I always use the motor craft fuel filter with the water block media. No screwing around 👌
Good luck 👍
I literally just changed my fuel filters on the 6.0!
1st time owner on a 06 F250 6.0 and since mother nature is bipolar, oklahoma took a major hit with some winter weather. Some nights the ambient temperature was in the negatives with wind chills around -25/-30
I didn't add any additive to my truck and of course the fuel gelled up. I ran Howes through it and changed the filters as well as drained the fuel/water separator.
Driving it yesterday after it's been running for over an hour or so it started to do the shimmy and shake dance and eventually it died. Got it started and moved off of the highway and it died again. I let it sit for 20 minutes or so and it fired up again and I drove it to where I was going and it got me there but died.
I put 16 oz of Power Service clear diesel in it and it seemed to do okay and I made it home. Question is, do I need to change the filters again and drain the separator and how will I know when all the water will be out? Is it better to continue to drive the truck as much as possible?
I bought some XG-12 last week because ARod said so
Best stuff guy!! 😉
EZ as 123 💪💪💪 C U next week.
Wooowooo
I have that same problem ....thanks will do the repair
🙌🙌🙌
1ST BRO!!!!
Hell yeaaa
I had a 6.0 a few days ago customer never drained the water from the hfcm and the injector cups got rusted out bad kept killing injectors till I got ahold of it love your work bro didn’t ford have a tsb where they disabled the water light
Naw, if they did i sure dont remember that 1
The disabling was the heater circuit. In later years the heater was eliminated.
I had the light keep coming on on a excursion we bought.. took it to the ford place new fuel pump.. still on.. so then i realized that the sct x4 was causing the light to come on.. still does it to this day.. when its disconnected from the obd2 port the light goes off.. very strange... if you have any suggestions that would be awesome
Thats a weirdo one 4 sure
Do you know what the fix is for 2020 super duty back up cameras failing all the time?
Bad cameras, ive done a few...
HFCM Jell-o strikes again!
Hahahahahahahah
So maybe I missed something. You twisted the old one off but new one just pops straight on? What keeps it from coming off in the future?
A detent. It breaks when twisting. .......im pretty sure i showed that there in the video, did you not watch or just skim.....🤦♂️
Thanks so much for responding. Yup you did mention it. I just didn’t catch it. Great video.
Thanks for stoping thru pal!! See ya tomorrow...another great 6.0 video!!!
Love your work, still Hate Fords however
🤷♂️🙋♂️
Is there ever a reason to take the H. out to clean it? Every time I change my fuel filter, I drain the water separator but nothing comes out. I’ve never had a “Water in Fuel” light come on. Thanks!
I have another question, my ‘05 F360 SRW 6.0L throws a code (p0198) for “Engine Oil Temperature Sensor.” I’ve replaced the sensor (OEM) but the code is still there. I wanted to replace the pigtail wire but my Ford dealership says Ford doesn’t make that part anymore. Any suggestions?
Yea prolly oart of the harness
Check international...
I never had water in fuel for 10 years then one day it came on , it’s always something
Funny, just fixed the same thing on an 03 yesterday, sensor had all sorts of crap caked in it
Yepp
I bought my 2005 ford f350 6.0 diesel crewcab a few years ago and I regret buying it. I have spent over $6400 on it and it just went back into the shop for a seized air compressor.
Damn brah
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod replaced so far from the seized ac compressor...one incredibly hard to find battery cable (battery to battery) that ford does not make anymore so a new cable was built, ac compressor, belt, orifice tube, dryer...
What is the name of this part ?
So when you showed the the new part why can't you show the ford logo it was covered up how come ??
Names & numbers not needed to show....
Let's put a whipple and nitros on my 6.2 ..
Ill do it for ya budddd
A big glob of nasty came out when you pulled out WIF sensor
Gummi bears
That's clear not green
