Thanks for the videos, almost bought the mother clutcher after watching your first video…. Then i saw this video and decided to try the mcb! I reached out to them yesterday with a few questions and told them you sent me😉
Ive watched this video a couple times and just ordered a primary and secondary from mcb. It as a spot on the order form that asked where i heard about them and i mentioned this video, hopefully they will look out for you eventually if they havent.
Just put a Mother Clutcher on my 2017 XP4 1000. Got 11.6K out of factory clutch. Still works decent but is pretty worn. Also got the MC secondary. So far, just been up and down the road here in AZ and put about 30 miles on it. So far, so good. Hitting the desert this weekend and seeing your blown sheave has me concerned. Not too keen on changing out a primary in the middle of nowhere. Planning on keeping my machine so if I have issues, probably gonna just go with a $1900 Duraclutch
Hey do you great videos, I have a Twenty fifteen razor 4 900 eps. With about 3000 miles. And my clutch rollers do need to be replaced. But for the whole kid. I noticed that the mother clutcher was about 280 and I was wondering if that would be a good clutch to go with. We don't do rock crawling or heavy duty sand dunes, just a lot of 2-3 trails would that be the best bang for the buck? Any info would helpful. Because with the holidays I can get it in about 4 to 5 working days.
Its hard in Australia to get any help even trying to buy a mother clutcher or mcb is very difficult i can see why shop say thay only do genuine is the company's are hard to work with we have no aftermarket support at all realy
@@MrDattopet we have the same issues trying to buy euro or Korean based parts. They only want to sell whole assemblies. No rebuild components. This is why I buy rzrs in the US. It has the most part availability. UTVs are going to break!
@ThinkBuildTest I thort there might be more videos about the mcb clutch your one is the only one i can find and a old mcb video them self hows your one going
@@ThinkBuildTest it's a bugger there $900 Australia when don't know how long thay going to last and parts available into Australia and the mother clutcher people have been that rude I don't know if I ever want to use there stuff or recommend to any one in Australia at $600
I got 1589 miles out of my stock primary just blew up on me the other night I don’t ride much anymore but when I do I ride in mud or just cruise around neighborhood do you recommend the mcb ? I’m in Texas
I put the epi clutch kit on the first one that failed. The second one that failed had all stock components. Its an ofroad machine so there is a chance that the harsh driving environment is a factor but I haven't broken anything besides axles and belts on this machine. No wrecks or rolls.
@@ThinkBuildTest i do a little of both, im in maine and its not uncommon to be going up steep rocky inclines to so mud…..im not a racer for sure and i primarily use it for hunting, camping and trail riding. It a nice way to get out
@@chrisallen3741 if your not slipping and glazing belts. Then you are probably fine with stock configuration. I like to keep the mantra of KISS. "Keep It Stock Stupid" Its nice to be able to get parts readily available and keep things the way the engineers design things so that it doesn't become an endless slope of upgrades. Sometimes the belt is supposed to be the thing that gives.. I have some specific rock obstacles at my local terrain park and the little larger tire spare scraping my trailing arms. But even with a clutch kit I glaze an occasional belt with the heavy tires. There is only so much a clutch kit can do without some mechanical gear reduction.
@@ThinkBuildTest i am not one to do major upgrades in fact the only things i have are a windshield, but my unit jumps hard no matter what gear i have it in and no matter how soft i try to ease into it…ill be taking it apart here soon….i have a lot on my plate and trying to find out where i can either find a way to replace worn parts in my clutch or just buy a stock one. Any new cluch and belt should fix that... If you have a shiny spot in your belt that will cause jerking. If you have caked up belt dust that will keep the clutch from downshifting. Blow out your clutches every couple of rides.
There is lots of crying owning a sxs.... lol but i do think Polaris ones are way overpriced for a consumable item. Hopefully MCB will get me 1500 miles. If it does its as good as a stock one.

What did you think about the clutch?
Hunter works makes a good quality clutch! I have put over 3000 miles on no proplems😊😊
Good deal

If you got 11k out of stock MC will be fine for you!
I got 1400 out of stock. Rebuilt it then got 600 more. Dunes are full throttle and hot. Lots of stop and go exercising the spring on primary.
@Think Build Test I hope you're right! I don't abuse my machine but I do run it hard in washes on occasion
@@MavicGuy2112 11k is almost more than you can get out of an engine much less a clutch.
@@ThinkBuildTest I have a buddy pushing 19k on an 2016 rzr engine. Changes oil every 500 miles. Maintenance is key.
At 1900 miles my General primary bit the dust. Was considering MCB, but they seemed too inexpensive to be good. This may have changed my mind.
I will let you know if anything changes.
I have a 2019 wildcat 1000xx and I haven't found many aftermarket clutches online for it I wonder if polaris clutch would fit it?

Light riding M C is probably fine.
My secondary and sheeves are in awesome condition and gots a oem belt and spare any other tips you have in mind???🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@randy-yo8zi we keep rear axles. Clutch puller. I like the aftermarket wider secondary spreader, stock one will chip the aluminum.
Do you still have the MCB clutch on yours if so how is it still doing can you give us an update thanks.
No issues had 2 more dune trips last fall and a few trail rides.
Are you still using the mother clutcher as your secondary? And if you are how is it doing? Im thinking of getting one. I also have a 2018 rzr 1000 xp.
Still using it.
Thanks
How is the mother clutcher holding? I also am running mcb primary with mother clutcher secondary...the mc secondary bothers me a bit🎉
Secondary mc seems fine still. MCB Primary seems good too.
How many miles do you currently have on the primary clutch?
Probably around 1000.

Do you know what id need for going up steep trails and hunting….
Anything works on trails. If you have larger tires and bump rock ledges you will need faster engaging spring and lower your top speed.
