I bought a set for my 2016 rzr900. My old secondary has two spline sections as does my shaft. The new one has this big black spacer and only one spline section.. wondering why.

I'm not sure without seeing it myself. If it goes on correctly and works like it should I wouldn't worry about it.

Just because it fits on the shaft doesn’t mean that it is right. Tried a primary…….had to dis-assemble completelty and do some lathe work on the internals to get it to function. JUNQUE!!!!!!! Also had to but the correct weights and spring for MY machine. After all this, it only lasted for a few hundred miles.

Well of course you'd need different weights and spring if you tried putting a clutch made for one bike onto another it wasn't specifically made for. I was just stating what the differences in fitment were for the crank and transmission. If you had to machine it to fit your particular machine maybe it was the wrong clutch. Every clutch I have from mother clutcher still work as they did when I installed them hundreds, maybe 1k by now miles ago. Who ordered and installed your clutch? Maybe it wasn't the correct clutch for your machine, especially if you had to machine it to fit. They do come with a warranty

@@alphapackoffroad Well sir, I am the one that ordered it. They said fits all XP 1000 RZR from 2014 thru 2022. There ain’t no such animal! ‘14 is different than ‘15 is different than ‘16+. And as far as lasting hundreds of miles…..that’s not shit. I put on hundreds of miles in one outing. Get up into what is known as the Arizona Strip and it is easy to do a 300 mile round trip from camp to a point of interest and back to camp. I nedd something that lasts for thousands of miles. Since I retired 11 years ago, I have put over 47000 miles on four seperate machines. My current one, a 2018 XP1000 has over 20,000 miles on it. Junk does not cut it. Might be OK for those that go out and ride 500 miles per year, Not me.
