@@nickb654 ,had transmission shop rebuild entire transmission
My new "double acting pump" does not hold pressure on one port. Holding Pressure is only one way.
@@willierathbone8806 make sure the lights are lit up opposite the direction it's flowing. The solenoid opens on the return side.
Great video. I was debating a service pit myself. Tired of jacking vehicles up in tight spaces.
@@MrJames6891 Thanks for watching we have some special suprises with this build you don't want to miss.
Glad you told the truth about those used cylinoids on Amazon and eBay, so I will not be ordering any of those from those sites 😊
@@ronnieblocker3824 I couldn't by individuals from local transmission shops or gm. Only as a tacm bundle.
I would’ve liked to see all the wear marks on all the components if it’s possible, can you take it apart and show us detailed by detail on the clutch?
Dang it I missed one didn't I. I won't fail you again citizen.
Unless it's a defective disc then it's almost always lateral force. The discs are not meant to have force applied to the sides.
I agree. Just went through a pack of 50 Amazon disc's. Reviews were terrible. Still haven't shattered a disk.
The need to do oil changes and the backbreaking ground crawls are legit reasons- but the biggest reason I built one is because I own a FORD truck. If I paid someone to do all the repairs, I’d be in the poor house
Lol
The primary and secondary clutch bundle for the ranger 1000 sohc is an absolute upgrade. The difference in the heat is totally night and day but most of all no broken belts. I would have already been through 3 belts in the time I’ve had this thing figured out with the kit i got from mcb. Also went from stock 25” to 30’s tires and 0% power drop off all the way through the rpms which I was thinking was going to happen but still throws good roosters and pulls the same. Also the best price and the only complaint if you could call it that is they forgot to send me the new primary bolt and sent the wrong belt. They did get it sent out the same day i called
@@The-carpenter-420 i agree they can do it all with thier clutches. I was beating all the stock NA machines sand dragging. That usually didn't happen. Good delivery of power. Thier doing exciting things with thier new clutches. Can't wait to try them out. The owner is a really good guy. I bet he was willing to get your order straightened out quick.
Is this a product you offer? I found the trailers, cant find the carriers

Make metal rings, and decorative iron.
Great idea, but in my opinion, you have it mounted too high. For maximum strength and flexibility, it should be at or about hip height. Having it up that high trying to larger stock is going to give you neck strain and shoulder problems. It's also going to be off balance as you try to start your bends because it's way above your center of gravity. Not sure how well it'll work logistically because it's so close to the wall, but only time and projects can flesh that out.
@@AlAmantea it will definitely take a little trial and error. I have a 2" on the front if my tractor forks so I can move it over there and find out what height works the best. Then weld up another reciever. Thanks for the comment!
On the solenoid on mine i removed them and saw that there was like a sludge on the top part where there is a cavity.I put it under a high power microscope i have for smd repair and found that there are steel particles in solenoid where shaft is.I suspect its binding the solenoid from smooth operation.I placed a high power magnet near the top and the oil would move like filings definitely the permanent magnet in solenoid is attracting steel filings and there's a buildup.i used high pressure to clean them out but not sure if thats a fix.Funny thing is magnetic plug in transmission has no filings.
@@gerryfowler6128 if these had a filter you could change all if it could be prevented. It feels like the solenoids screens become the filter after that fails.
Thanks for the great video! Looks like a solid performer but what keeps the load from falling or speeding up when you lower it?
@@hnewcomb1695 the worm gear has very tight windings. Lots of torque in favor of the winding handle. It could be 1000 lbs and it wouldn't turn the handle. There is a stop braket just in case but it's not going to happen.
What project would you use this on?
I have a transmission shop and I hate this new shit
@@expertguy101 why can't they let you change the filter easily!!! That's the point of it.
I love it
Wired and plumbed backwards. That’s why it slams down and is so slow going up
@@acecoors Interesting. I will investigate you have me double guessing myself and the instructions aren't great. It's supposed to only have 1500 psi for going down. It lifts my 2000 lbs rzr with a mechanical disadvantage so I would think that it is lifting with 3000 psi currently.
@@ThinkBuildTest I’m 100% positive. I’ve installed probably 25 of those very pumps and have made the same mistake. They aren’t always set up correctly when you get them. I’ve had them with the solenoid valves backwards several times to where both ports had the wrong style valve. But you have yours both wired and plumbed backwards. Only flipping around one or the other won’t help, it’ll only make it worse. Good luck
Dude! you did an amazing job with this whole Pit thing .. impressiev work!
@@Sherohnn thanks for the kind words!
A service pit is safe as long as you have & use some common sense. Unfortunately many people are lacking in it.
Way to go titan customer service sucks
@@jamesDeFelice-l2p I will be doing a review update soon. Maybe some improvements.
Hey man, that's one sick pit. The hydraulic siccors is the cats meow. This is the coolest service pit I've seen. Thinking about putting one in. Thanks for sharing this video . 👍🏻
@@popples4973 Thanks for the support!
One word: Unnecessary!
The people that say that crap just parrot other comments.
They told a friend that he need it a new transmission and it was goont to cost 7000 but a oil filter for 7 dollars and is fix they try to get 7000 for 7 dollars aint that a b and im not a mecanic but thanks to you tube he gave me the car for free because he didint wanted to pay the money so i just change that and i have a nice and beautiful honda 😂😂😂😂
@@JuaritozAngeles you have to separate the engine from the transmission and drop the whole front frame just to get to this ones filter. Go figure. If this had lower miles other fixes may have been tried. But at 200000 miles and all the shavings I would have just ruined the new parts. I spent about 120 to give it a try. Wasn't willing to waste 800 on the next step. Glad yours worked out awesome story!
Thank you for the advice and information
@@robertquitugua4454 everyones situation won't be the same but it's something to consider.
What is the drill bit you are using to make it go up and down with power drill ?
@@appibh9180 no bit needed. If you just leave the crank handle off there is a hex rod that you just fits in your drill chuck.
Wow , your concrete slab floor looks very thin ! Mine had to be 150mm thick with rebar , here in Scotland.
I was really surprised by it my self. I don't know the exact age of shop it's older than my 1977 house. The tons of sand fill was crazy to me. Seems like it wicked the moisture out of the concrete making it very thin on bottom. They use 3 inch slabs allot here. I would prefer a 4 inch for a vehicle surface.
@ThinkBuildTest I think if it's this old you'll have nothing to worry about. It's taking the weight of your tractor 🚜, etc. I like how you've got the inserts in the sides . A nice professional touch 👏. I'd love ❤️ to do this in my workshop 😀 ❤
@@127cmore they made the concrete pour a real pain and had to do repairs from air bubbles. (Hoped the ramped shape would help) but haven't everything seal up underneath and having lights and electrical all accessible from multiple angles makes the work nice no extension cords needed to get caught up. I have some more fun videos to make with pew pews and wine cellar in the pockets.
What are you repairing, a tumb?

Awesome!
Thanks!
I rebuilt my 6T45 in my Diesel Terrain. Was pretty easy. The solenoids aren't your problem it's most likely your pistons. Also adding in the Sonnax shift kit and drum saver does wonders for this transmission. I highly recommend getting the "Hyper Blue" brand pistons which are a little more expensive but much tougher than the OEM ones. 15k miles later I had to pull the trans again because the torque converter went (Should have done it while apart....) but I cracked open the trans just to see how it was doing and everything was perfect AND! My trans fluid was not burnt and black like this trans is famous for. P.S To anyone attempting to rebuild this trans, DO NOT try and replace the rectangular seal on the transmission TCU. You WILL break it. It's not possible to change and I don't know why they include it in the seal kit. Soon as you pop it off you destroy these hair like wires that are connected to the PCB board. It will be a $400 dollar mistake....
@@CelataForCongress sounds like you really gained some knowledge on this build! Thanks for sharing!
More concerned that you allow Pontiac in your shop
@@itsxaj variety is the spice of life! Boring if everyone drove the same thing. We fixed 2 issues on this one on a video. Everything needs fixed at somepoint, these were fairly simple with the pit.
Well, I have had pretty good luck with Pontiac. Owned 3 of them and they all ran good the day I got rid of them. My 2004 grand prix I gave away at 260,000. It is well into the 300,000 now, but I think it don't run any more. 😢
This is awsome, I’m planing on making a t trailer for my dune buggy and I will be using this idea. Ty
Thats awesome
🎉🎉🎉wonderful
Its common issues with the g8s they all got it as it was a poor engineered design when it was converted from right hand drive to left hand drive for the American market, i so loved the g8 look when the Elizabeth plant closed i converted my 07 ss wagon to the g8 front
The bigist reson yhsy stoped useing pits. Was fire so the wall would get coverd and caced in oil and then you try to cut weld with fire and then thers a fire
@@johnehett2499 maintenance and cleaning! Also a pit for personal use will not get over abused. 10 dollar an our oil change techs don't tend to care much.
@ThinkBuildTest yes that's how it is prevented lol I was just throwing out some trivia. I my self had to rebuild my Trans so I dint have a lift I just put car on ramps and dug a big hole to get the Trans out wish I had a pit if I had a place I would

People always HATE on things they never have or never do... keyboard warriors...
That’s a sweet setup. A lift is already so much safer than a lift and super convenient. And now with the ability to change the floor height? Sweet!
Whatever is the purpose of this clip? *groan*
what i learned is people are idiots. There are a lot of them.
Yeah tha commodore
Oh yeah!
There should be a lockout regardless of how slow it is
It's dangerous because of LPG and A/C refrigerant as it is heavier then air it sinks and will sit in the pit
Nice work man. Should install some recessed rams in the floor to lift vehicles just enough so that the wheels and suspension are able to be in a serviceable position.
I have some air bag jacks I'm going to use.
