Guess i’ll spell this out for everybody: paul mccartney telling these two random old guys to stop fucking around is a joke, because these two random old guys were famous before he was and he learned how to play from listening to their records. Scotty Moore. the guitarist in this video, is literally the guitarist on the elvis record. The ‘joke’, which isn’t funny now that it has to be explained, is that he, this person who learned how to play from these masters, is telling them they have to be professional and stop having any fun. This is nothing BUT fun for PM, who you can tell is absolutely beyond himself just to be in the same room as these two legends, despite being a legend himself.

@@michaeliacangelo5646 Elvis is my first and only, but I so disagree with you. Independent of each other, Paul and John said there would be no Beatles without Elvis. Paul has talked adoringly of Elvis in most interviews I've seen. He owns the Bill Black bass and is singing Heartbreak Hotel on You Tube playing it. He was at Graceland several years ago. At the grave, he placed a guitar pick and said for him to use in Heaven. I found out recently that while there he got to go into the secret archive building where you have to wear gloves to touch anything. He was the last person to play Elvis' famous guitar that is shown all over the internet of Austin Butler posing with it in the Jungle Room.. The head of archives presented it to Butler for a photo. When John Lennon dressed up to go out, he wore a diamond ELVIS in cursive lapel pin. Sean wore it with Julian to present an award to Elvis. On You Tube. There's fake stories out there about the Nixon visit regarding the Beatles that just ARE NOT TRUE! (DO NOT believe that awful Nixon movie! Not true!) I met the people who were there. It is also posted on You Tube. I get so tired of outright lies, as if it''s truth posted about Elvis..

blaster88778 Many artists during and before that era didn't write their own material including Sinatra, Ellla, Billi Holiday et al, Elvis made these songs his own and his version is way different to the original.
It is a race issue and if Elvis was black it wouldn't be a problem. A black artist called Big Mama Thorton recorded "hound Dog" which was written by two white jews, Leiber and Stoller (who wrote for many black artists) but no one says they stole music from the jews.
Many of the artists Elvis covered wouldn't have seen the light of day if it wasn't for him. Everyone is influenced by everyone black or white. Stealing is when you cover something verbatim. Elvis transformed those early blues songs into a music form called "rockabilly" Everyone who covers the song does the Elvis version. Crudup's version is simple 12 bar R & B.
Many black greats like Howlin Wolf, Jackie Wilson, BB King, James Brown and Fats Domino weren't bitter about Elvis' fame and acknowledge his originality

Rick Have to look up timeframes but Elvis had 3 legends play regularly with him, Scotty, Hank and James..some overlapping too. Scotty left along with DJ or Bill Black (can't remember...probably Bill) probably over strain with management, not Elvis. Hank Garland took over. They were both so good that Elvis' appreciativeness had them both play different sessions or venues when Scotty came back. Hank stopped probably after his serious car wreck..don't know why Scotty stopped. James Burton was 70's and Vegas years more or less. I forget who did the '68 comeback..Scotty I think??? Anyway, Scotty and Elvis will always be the mythical team despite all 3 being legendary with him. In my mind..Scotty 1950's, Hank 1960's, James 1970's.
