I used to use blue magic as a child and i had no issues with it at all. As i got older and I started using it again within a few hours I’m almost about to make my scalp blood scratching like it was going out of style 🤦🏾♀️. If I were you I probably wouldn’t use it again, but its your choice. I think the ingredients probably changed from when I was a little girl. Now i use Jamaican black castor oil on my scalp and hair and i have no issues. 😊😁
I watched a video a few days ago which suggests that if you have weak loc’s on the back right side of your head it’s due to stress! You may lose it but as you said it’s in the back and won’t be too notable! Good luck with the move!
Desiree, my experience BM was for hot comb only. I have used white Vaseline because no added fragrance. I and my sisters "grease hair every other day" grease like Bronner Bros. Do other people still do this the every other day?
I don't have locs, my husband does. I love blue magic but soon as you put that in your hair, you'd better be ready to wash that soon after lol. Creates build up.
I just came out of a 4 strand twist last week and now I think I will do a 2 strand today. I too have a few weak spots, but when they are twisted up it is out of sight out of mind...lol...I just don't have the energy to deal with them..*sigh* Any way...looking forward to moving video...happy travels!!
Desiree, you have been a major "follow for me" especially when I finally committed to my desire for "locking it up" 3 years ago on May 29, 2019. I am pretty much like you, I can feel and identify a "scalp irritant" and so I advise go with your thinking on the BM. I had one product that it was immediately allergic reaction and I washed my hair immediately because I feared me scratching was like oh no! I am going to lose all my hair. I just tried a new shampoo and conditioner that is marketed as "aiding in resiliency and strength of hair strand" (Elite Hair USA, Crystal she is mostly a "natural hair silk pressing licensed stylist with about 300k RUclips followers--no endorsement nor review). I learned so much from you mostly due to your authenticity and transparency. I never tried two-strands locs style. I will now because you just showed me how. I am quite a travelist and forget about my hair until we get to first restaurant and I go to wash my hands. A time or two I asked my husband, why didn't you tell me my hair was a mess? "What, it looks good to me"(such as unconditionally, propaganda husband for 36 years March 15th). Great choice with "retwist two-strands". Traveling Grace and Blessings on Blessings for your family. Jah rules.
Yes, the Blue Magic (blue one) makes my head itch like crazy too.
WOW, your hair is so beautiful and full of life!!! I love it!!!

How do you keep the twists from getting so tight on your scalp. Whenever I try to do mine it hurts my scalp so much.

Ok..
You are making me want to two strand twist my hair.

I’ve had to change up from products that I’ve used for a while due to it started to cause itchy scalp

Blue magic too heavy for locs, I use mixture of black castor jojoba oil and argan oil. See what fits I tried gel once so itchy so I stick to oil.
How many times a week should you moisturize your locs

The last time I did two strand twist was about 2-3 months ago. QUESTION: Do you ever brush your locs before washing?

Nice
You might be allergic to the coconut that’s in it
It’s too thick doesn’t allow your scalp to breathe.
I found that any products with blue dye from shower gels to hair products irritate me ,it explains a lot🥲
