@@DesireeMarie Your locs look amazing.. I no longer use ECO gel either; I do however mix regular Aloe Vera gel into my "oil mix" if I re-twist which I also only re-twist like every other month.. 4years locd
Hey Desiree! I really don't do much at all to my locs. 😂 Same as you in the beginning, I tried out different things to see what worked for me, and tried to keep them looking as neat and uniform as possible, but now I basically just leave it alone. I'll wash it every couple of weeks, oil my scalp with an oil mixture I put together maybe once or twice a week, I don't do too many styles or at least nothing that causes tension to my roots too frequently, I don't use many products at all, and I've been trying to only retwist my hair at least every two months (sometimes longer if my roots aren't too crazy). My locs are getting longer now (I'm FINALLY at shoulder length in the back!), and I don't mind the puffy look of my new growth, so I just rock it out. Lol I do like wearing my locs curly, so I may start doing that more. Things I need to improve on are my water intake, consistently taking my vitamins, keeping my hands out of my hair, and wearing my bonnet or scarf to bed. I've noticed that when I DO do these things consistently, it makes a huge improvement in the look and feel of my locs, so now I just have to keep at it. Beautiful look Desiree Marie! And yes I have definitely noticed the fullness. I love it. At one point I didn't drink water either but now I drink water consistently and there are so many benefits to drinking water in addition to promoting clear skin and a healthy scalp.
I keep a veey simple routine as well amd my locs love me for it ❤ I take a hair vitamin at night...but i need to get on that Salmon Oil for sure. I dont eat enough fish nor do I work out enough. What kind of Salmon oil do you take Desiree?
