I’m so proud of you going that long before retwisting!! I loved seeing your fluffy roots, but your retwist is just as beautiful. Your hair is growing so well. I usually retwist every 3 months and my hair is healthy and growing as well. ❤️
Do you wash in between? I've been loc'd for 2.5 years but have been going to someone every 6-7 weeks. She's heavy handed and I think I have breakage at the roots because of it and build up from either the product or ineffective washing. I'm going to start doing it myself and looking for guidance.
You are my loc idol! I’ve been following your journey from the beginning! I know I’m not supposed to compare my locs to anyone else but I feel like I’ve learned so much from you! I’m 9 months loc’d and every stage I’m in I watch your videos and see I wasn’t alone in the weird stages my hair went through. I’ve seen your locs transform into beautiful pencil sized locs and we started our journeys the same way. I hope mine are similar. I too have been semi-freeforming. I haven’t retwisted since Xmas! Keep up the great work! You are an amazing teacher 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾👸🏾👸🏾👸🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Aweee you're the best ❤️ Thank you for enjoying my hair content and actually looking up to me! I'm grateful because although I do not know everything there is to know about Locs, you still find value in my mistakes and wins. Thank you a million times for the amazing support! 🤗
U did a great job on your retwist. I heard the Tyliyah Wajid is a great retwist product that holds very well and leaves no residue. I haven’t tried it yet but I plan on once sooner than later. You should try using black castor oil and peppermint oil on your sides that thinner. I had almost a bald spot and it brought my hair back in 4 months and now I have a new baby lock🤗
i love how transparent you are about your hair line...my hairline is just like yours. Im currently taking hair skin and nail pills i feel like it helps some. nice video
Desiree Marie LOL! Okay. I’m looking for a style for my wedding, I was thinking doing like a crowned style. I can’t wait to see what hairstyle you choose...I know it’s going to look great girl! BTW, I can’t wait until you guys big day! “Nervous yet”? 😃
Come Thru Desssssss. Very nice!! I try to wait 6 weeks but my scalp doesn’t agree with it. So it’s usually every 4-5 weeks. And my retwist usually last a week or less. But I swear from my scalp and I’m a personal trainer and yoga instructor and take hot yoga classes SO MY RETWIST HAVE NO CHANCE REALLY lol 🤦🏽♀️😂 Peace and love
Same here I haven't retwisted in about the same amount of time but due to laziness. This was the longest I ever went .😆😐 You're hair has grown so much! Great video!👍
Nice video! I’m 5 1/2 months locked and I retwist every 5-6 weeks. I’ll keep this schedule until my 1 year anniversary or until I have more length. Next, I plan to use a 2 - 4 month retwist schedule. I totally agree that more time is beneficial for healthy loc retention.
It came out great 😍. My retwist last a long time. I wear it 3-4 weeks depending on how my scalp feels. I don't do anything special I just have 4c hair. I retwist with castor oil.
I’m retwisting now, last time was in October. I have to do this because I have something to do. Since I have to be somewhere tonight. I have to work front to back. It is hell. Your hair is really pretty.
I purchased one of those big goods you attach to the dryer About 2 years ago. For about 6 months I have not used it and use a hand held dryer. My reason is with the hand held i dry just the roots and my locs do not over dry but thither the hood where most of loc is covered i found my locs were becoming too.
Wait, do you have low or high porosity hair? I'm a loose natural and I wanna start my journey but I have some dry ass hair and I'm nervous of continuing to encounter the same issue when I start my journey.
I try to retwist every three weeks with just castor oil and water. Your hair is fabulous btw, quite similar in texture to mine but my locs are parted smaller.
I love your Loc’s, they are beautiful! I’m only 2 months in, (Baby Loc’s lol) But I’m enjoying the journey thus far. I started out Retwisting with just Aloe Vera Gel (100%) Than, I decided to experiment.. and I made a DIY Locking Gel with Aloe Vera Gel, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and Peppermint essential oil. It smells amazing, and I think it holds nice 👍🏽 You should try! 💕
Hey love! I don't have all of the details on that however I have heard that long exposure to those ingredients is not the best - that's mostly why I am switching to a more organic product soon
Hi I love your videos and your hair. I'm almost 4 months loc and have been to the salon 3 times. She only washes my hair one time so that's a real problem. I'm trying to do it myself. Please tell me what to do when I wash my hair and not twist it. Should i just keep the roots separated ? Thanks for your help My hair is fine
Hey love! Thank you for enjoying my videos! My answer to your question would be that every time you wash be sure to separate your locs because the roots WILL tangle (I still have to do this). And happy 4 months! So excited for you 🎉
Your retwist came out beautifully sweety 👌🏾 however can I just mention be very careful about that mango and lime product as it does hold a retwist 👍🏾 but after a while it can leave dangerous buildup that you might not be able to see straight away as it can get embedded into your Locs and make your Locs heavy that can eventually lead to breakage also it’s not that easy to wash out. I was using it for a while at the beginning of my Loc Journey. (Just sharing I don’t want to scare you as sharing is caring, if it works for you then Carry on using it. ☺️) I have a video on it take a look when you get a moment. I wait between 4 or 5 months before I retwist my Locs as I like the volume of not retwisting also I work out regularly so my retwist don’t last that long anyway if I didn’t work out 🏋🏽♂️ my re twist would probably last around 2 to 3 weeks. I just retwist with light oil and water now this works very well for my hair type 💦 😊.
Oh nice, thanks for sharing love! I understand that this product works differently to everyone's hair so what works for one may not work for the other. ❤️
Yes! I’m about to retwist my hair too RIGHT now lol❤️💪🏾 I’ve been following you since way back and your hair is so long now! It grows SO fast!!❤️😍
Yay!! So excited to keep you company while you do your hair ❤️ thank you so much for your love and amazing support ❤️❤️❤️🥰🤗
You are so beautiful and have such a happy glow about you!! I love seeing your videos!
Awe thank you so very much ❤️🤗 I'm super excited to have you apart of the #crew ❤️

I also use aloe Vera gel and tight hold by Taliah Waajid
Thanks boo! ❤️❤️❤️

I know this a crazy question. But am i mixing oil and water in the spray bottle?
BeautifulQueen yes, pick your favorite oils and mix it in with water in your spray bottle
They look really great! ❤️ I only did two months apart!
Awe how cool is that! And thank you love 💕
Rewatching this because during this quarantine i’m gonna have to learn how to retwist my own hair! 😅
Beautiful...I retwist every 7~9 weeks! I'm 8 months in☮️
Thank you so much! And yes!! Happy 8 months!! 🎉
It came out great 😍. My retwist last a long time. I wear it 3-4 weeks depending on how my scalp feels. I don't do anything special I just have 4c hair. I retwist with castor oil.

Great video and your Locs look amazing!!!! Stay Locd and stay blessed!!!
Thank you so much! ❤️
I try to retwist every three weeks with just castor oil and water. Your hair is fabulous btw, quite similar in texture to mine but my locs are parted smaller.
Oh nice! That is a cool simple regimen that works 💕

Your hair is beautiful. Love
I retwist once a year . With nature blessings pomade and almond oil.
I just purchased the Natues Blessing pomade . I l❤ve it.
What is your take on the ingredients in the Jamaican Mango & Lime Island oil that is called D&C yellow number 17 and 11?
Is harmful to hair
Hey love! I don't have all of the details on that however I have heard that long exposure to those ingredients is not the best - that's mostly why I am switching to a more organic product soon

Separate your roots when you wash only.
