We need the loc community to know “wash your hair!” This was a great informative video. I started my locs (again) January 2022 and I’ve been shampooing every other weeks. My hair is soft and fine and is locing beautifully. I couldn’t imagine going months without washing my hair. Our bodies, scalp and hair need to be washed and clean. Your locs are flourishing and it’s nice to see the beginning stages and where you are now. Blessings.
You are totally correct in this video. I have 4b/4c hair, and my hair locked after about 4 months. I sprayed my hair with water daily and washed it every 2 weeks after the first month. Now I’ll be 20 months in next week. Every step of the journey is beautiful. Your baby locs looked just as cute on you as your mature locs.
I haven’t been using water on my hair as often anymore because its cold outside and i work everyday in 30 degrees..im trying to avoid getting a cold but ik i need to still add that in my routine.. any tips?
It was great going down memory lane watching your loc journey from the beginning again. It’s amazing how fast time goes by. Watching your journey gave me the confidence to start my loc journey two years ago. Thank you for being so transparent with your journey over the years. You have been a true inspiration for many of us. Thank you.💞💖❤️
Water is life. I wash my locs every week or every other week depending on how my scalp and hair feels. Either way, it always feels better after washing.
Thank you for the clear message! Water is life in every sense. I started my loc journey June 29, 2022. I've been misting daily but not the actual washing. I'm hoping you can shed some light on styling starter locs. In your opinion does it hinder the process? I saw yours was worn down this entire video.
Thank you for enjoying! I would style lightly without any tight pulling or heavy manipulation. That will keep your locs free to continue maturing properly. Congrats on your new loc journey!

I really appreciate your videos. Our locs are similar in a lot of ways so I get a lot of help from you. The bob looks great on you
Thank you girly ❤️
Great video! Very encouraging. I'm 2 months in, as of yesterday. Also, I love those big teardrop earrings!
Very encouraging 🤩

All you have to do is....add water daily! Water causes it to tangle and loc. Totally agree.
