Holy shit, I've actually known this over 7-8 years ago. Never thought it would resurface again.
The only reason people hated Vista was because they were trying to run it on a potato. Anyone with a half decent rig (like me) loved it.

I remember this in 2006 when windows Vista released, but i didn't like Vista because it's too heavy for my core 2 duo laptop.
so i install "aeroUI" and cosmetically change my windows XP to be as close as windows Vista, including "window + tab" winflip. 😅

True! It became really buggy after the Aero, but if you close all the apps it gets back to normal!

Back then I used TrueTransparency, ViStart, ViGlace and another one I don't remember exactly, Styler or something, that let me change toolbars and layouts too. It had none of these bugs

maybe you can take a windows aero from windows longhorn early builds it should work longhorn is very similar to XP but not the same

Well, i wouldn't modify anything to XP too. I prefer to leave Windows XP like it is.
@@TheWindowsHero What I'd really like to see, is putting the XP "Windows Classic" desktop theme to Win7 and/or 10. Hopefully fix that hosed-looking Explorer for once. heh
@@The_DreadStorm I think you can't put the xp classic theme on Windows 10 but you can get a Windows 7 classic theme on Windows 10. But that makes explorer buggy and breaks the context menu's.
