    Glad to see you all made it home safe, although too bad about the rough flight. As much as I'm enjoying life here I think Merlyn and me are going to head back to Canada for around 6 months this spring. I hate the long flights so much but it will be nice to get back for a while regardless.

    The reason you make the basin bottom lower than the pipe that the water leaves is so sediment can build up in there and not in the pipe. Then you clean the basin periodically.
    Parking lot drain basins in America are built the same way. It reduces costly repairs.

    • @Marker44
      @Marker44  5 месяцев назад

      Sounds like good logic I just dont like having the standing water. Mosquitos love it. I'll probably put some sort of cover over the drains when we tile the garage floor.

    Welcome back.
    My sister in law flew PAL, US to Phil 3 days ago and said same thing about turbulence.
    Wify always prays a lot throughout the flight which is good but she brings out lots of superstition along with it. There's nothing wrong with it but it should not control your decision.
    Hindsight sight is 20/20.
    I'll be going thru your same scenario in a few days. Good day! 😂😇🙏

    Also, have you ever flown in and out of Clark in Angeles City? We flew in and out of there in May, it's so much bigger, wider cleaner organized, they can answer your questions when you have one, and they even have toilet seats on the toilets in the bathroom lol. It might be a little bit more expensive by $100, but I enjoy Clark more than Manila.

    A few years ago, going from Houston to Manila on United we had to stop in Guam. After leaving Guam on the way to Manila, we had an engine blow out on the plane. Guam to Manila is about 4 hrs. The engine blew out about 90 minutes after we left Guam. We ended up turning around and went back to Guam with only one engine on the plane working. Remember there is nothing between Guam and Manila except water. It was dark in the middle of the night, but we could see sparks coming out of the engine. This all happened on New Years Eve, we finally made it to Manila on another plane. But, the plane had to make sure the Manila Airport would be open on early New Years Day.

    Good you guys enjoyed yourself on holiday. Suggestion, when you went to the hospital and became an investor, make a video about that. Study the packet they gave you and let us know what to expect, cost, terms, time etc. Many of us will be in the Philippines soon and are eager for information. It's the reason some of us watch your channel. Sadly, you did not ask which insurance policies, if any, are accepted there from the US. Some hospitals there accept BCBS, ATENA, and TRICARE. I'm sure many of your viewers are retired veterans.
    Additionally, when you did the land video regarding your future farm, tell us what the going land prices are per square meter. You could have taken a few minutes prior to the video and studied local advertisements to inform your audience. I'm not trying to be mean, but it would be nice if you offered additional information to your vlog, rather than treat it like a private journal.
    😊 Good luck to you guys regarding your channel. You have a lovely family but most of your vlog does not address issues many of us need to know.
    Not trying to control your channel but if you want to increase your audience, you need to check as many boxes as you can. Other wise this will be your private journal. Take care.

      I love Clark International but checking prices to either Vancouver or Toronto it's still far more costly than going out of Manila. If the price is even close my wife and I will choose Clark every time. For domestic flights it's our first choice.

    • @tedebear9943
      @tedebear9943 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@timsretirementjourney8323 In the grand scheme of things you can offset the extra cost by saving in other areas of your retirement days. I hate flying in and out of Manila for many reasons, some of which includes congestion, corrupt taxi drivers, traffic jams, etc.

      @@tedebear9943 with us living in the City of San Fernando about an hour and a half ride from NAIA the cost if we use our normal service is around 3800 if we choose a sedan up to 4300 if we choose an Innova or 4500 if we want a Montero. It's slightly over a hundred dollars Canadian and the NLEx - Skyway takes us pretty much straight to the airport. As far as Airports go though Clark is far nicer to use. 😊
