Is there an approximate age to start cross country? It looks pretty intense, I’ve been riding for about 4 years now and I want to start cross country.

I went to my first XC school after about 18 months of riding, so it depends when you're ready!! But XC schooling can be done at your own pace and you don't have to do a course, so I'd definitely start with some lessons VS jumping right into hunter trials and eventing!!! But its such an amazing rush and soooo fun!! :)
