💙😍 Yessss! What a star!! I love how he surveyed the place at the start box, gave me a chuckle. He like seriously glides across the ground , doesn’t seem like any footfalls happen. FANTASTIC job, so proud of you!🙌💙
I love lee, so much. I utterly love how he rides, how he almost always knows what to do and how stunning he looks. Bay's are often overlooked cuz they're "boring" but, his coat shined like his ride today despite the flaws! What a amazing ride, well done both of you!
I don't know whether it was camera angles or what, but that course looked more than usually terrifying! I am IN AWE of your horsemanship and your horses.
I finally made it thru one complete ride, I get so anxious when I watch you ride . You are a fantastic rider , you took me on a journey today and I came away with the opinion that you are a Champion at your chosen profession and as your grand uncle I have tears in my eyes after witnessing you ride. Love you Bubba ❤️
Yep there were a couple of people who fell off in the water. They had to stop for a few minutes and check the footing in it before they proceeded with the next riders.
i love how your praise your horses for even the small things, because they do count and to let them know that what they did was what you wanted is just as important as praise after the more difficult jumps. You and Lee did absolutely fantastic and it was amazing to me to see that even when he couldn’t see the fence he was slowing down and doing whatever you were asking of him even when he wasn’t sure what he was doing. That shows trust between you two and what a great pair you guys make. Please keep up your fantastic work and videos ❤️
The keyhole with the tricky angle triple jump soon after...intense! What a run Leroy! I love how Eliza is so quiet and steady throughout. "Perfect Thank You"
That was exhilarating thank you and well done to both of you. I am in my late 60s and used to show jump at Foxhunter level and it was like being back doing it. Every time you went over a jump I was coming forward up out of my seat 😁
@@lonestorm6313 Glad I am not alone. I also slightly kick the leg into the side of my "air" steed for the leg I want it to land on. When I have been at shows I am sure folk think I am trying to start some sort of line dance or am completely off my trolley 😆
I am AMAZED how the rider with the video cam on her helmet.. FILMED the Entire course and the video was level at all times. despite the horses movements over obstacles etc. the riders head / and camera were perfectly still.. AMAZING.. Horse and RIDER.. Not One quiver in the video..
I've ridden horses most of my life and I've never been on a ride like that!!!! Thank you ever so much!!!! What a team!!! Thanks for a ride I never dreamed of, I rode trail, showed pleasure and halter. lol So different. You and your horse a just great!!
You both made that look straight forward, and maybe not easy, but doable. Just shows how good you two are working as a team. I bet there were a lot of horses that did not clear the course. Some tough questions!
Hats off to a magnificent trainer and a fabulous Lee. He reminds me so much of JohnnyAnd as weve watched him grow, its clear to see thathorse and rider are a perfect fit.Youll be like whoa whoa steady and Lee be like Mama, i got this.Yall are truly amazing!
Wow what a stretched out course, seems like very large gallop sections. It was very interesting. Lee was such a star!!! Can't wait to see you in Kentucky!!
To add: Usually the course is roped off and has a specific route. It also keeps spectators out of the way for riders. For the higher events there are jump judges blasting a whistle signaling that a horse is approaching to clear the path, and to catch any loose horses and riders, of course. They also have poles or other parts laying on the fences to keep track of what to jump. These fences are made to be permanent, so it’s easier to have a lot of different level fences in a small area than having to make fences each time.
I love how open the course looks in the beginning, but then some of those lines seemed tricky. Handled well! I'm disappointed at the 3:56 mark where those people looked like they were on the course. Please think of your and the competitor's safety before choosing a spot to take pictures/video and spectate. No picture is worth getting hurt or causing a wreck.
Terrific. He needs to do that well in stadium jumping. Maybe help from one of the jumper trainers. Somehow learn to respect those jumps. Yeah easy for me to say. 😄
He is a good showjumper, however he really wanted to do xc especially seeing the xc jumps in the sj arena. Sometimes, there are factors to consider like grass vs footing, i think he also had too big of studs as the grass footing was drying up in that caused him to stick a bit. And there is always Lee’s opinion about things as we know he certainly had his own. It was a difficult course that did not offer many clears. Carolina has always offered up some difficult results for me, but it’s an event that always makes us better for the next on.
A horse stops in front of a jump. Depending on the level, it can be an extreme penalty, for the higher levels, it’s 20 points. If he scrapes over it or stumbles, there’s no penalties. There’s also a time limit that causes penalties, if the rider falls off, it used to be sixty. If it happens twice, they’re disqualified, if the horse falls, then they’re automatically disqualified.
That looked like it was a tough course, but Lee-Lee did it so well.
💙😍 Yessss! What a star!! I love how he surveyed the place at the start box, gave me a chuckle. He like seriously glides across the ground , doesn’t seem like any footfalls happen. FANTASTIC job, so proud of you!🙌💙
Ps- 🙏❤️ Love that you and your Dad can do this together. It’s heartwarming.☺️
You always compliment and give credit to your horses, I really love hearing that. That looked like a tough course, but you two did so great!

So good! I saw myself at 3:57 (in the grey jacket!

That combination near the end was so good! Lee rode through it like an absolute champ! Good luck at Kentucky 😘
Good grief. That water complex ! It was huge and ditches everywhere and fence on fence no let up. He just sailed through.

@@suzanneyoung8011 I can imagine. Super tough
I have butterflies in my stomach watching you ride. Your training makes such good horses for all of the levels. It's a thrill to watch you.

Lee was foot perfect to all of the jumps 😍 even taking some flyers at the open ditches/trakehners 👌🏼

That looks like a pretty advanced course. But he did so well. And he was quite the energetic horse isn’t he.
It’s a CCI****. The second highest level of Eventing.
Wow! That was phenomenal. Looked like one of your toughest rides👏👏
Oh man that is a tough course!
I want to doo this, looks like so much fun 🥰🥰
Far out that was a tough course, but Lee just sailed over the jumps.
I like how you praise your horses it's time they do hard jumps like that that is telling them they are doing a really good job
Fantastic!

one question, how do you know where to go and what jump to jump?
Course map, course walk, the jumps are numbered and the levels are color coded

What does it feel like to ride a tiger?
I ride horses but I don't compete jumping, in cross country how do they get faults??

What is with the people in the way on that left turn. Geez, that would make me a nervous wreck
