What an unlucky tumble as it was a great round until then. I hope the wrist wasn't broken and good to hear Inky is ok. I have lung issues myself and although I haven't ridden in over 20 years, I remember those painful rasping breaths only too well!
listening to this was so hard, cause i used to get panic attacks while riding, and your breathing made me so scared because i would just tense up and sit there, im so sorry this happened to you i know exactly how you felt even before the fall. 😢
Sorry to see you fall. I watch a few Team Chase videos and you were not the only rider to fall at that fence and it was not just the rider coming off it was the horse falling which caused the rider to come off. I hope they look at the fence or the footing to see if they can improve it.
That was a very good ride and the horse made it a bit difficult throwing it's head around quite a lot so an unlucky fall, but hopefully that wrist isn't broken lass x

How does she see the jumps with all head shaking she does? She totally wants to just cook the course and set a new time record. She still has long way to go.
@@LilyEquestrian oh lord I'm so sorry sister I didn't ment to offend you. I'm very sorry. I enjoyed your videos I asked just of curiosity. Please forgive me 🙏🏽
The exertion level is pretty strenuous. Probably like skiing moguls. They're in kind of a crouch/half sitting position with their legs and body core keeping their balance in stirrups with the horse going up and down. I ride just for pleasure and I get exhausted just watching these eventing videos!
For a horse, a herd/prey animal, safety is with other horses, so they almost always take off to catch up with the others. Equestrians know this, so they don't take it personally.😃 Also, there's likely a vet on the course to check him over since he fell too.
@@melanies.6030 Yes that shows that you arent connected to your horse. If they find comfort in your presence they stay with you. That should be a wake up call to back off on the riding and step up the ground work
@@mrswoodbrookeHorses are somewhat like cats in this regard: there's a strong "What's in it for me?" self-preservation instinct that usually takes priority. I've never seen a horse in panicked flight mode after a fall that stopped, or turned around to stay with a rider. Not saying it can't happen, just that it would not be the norm, and is never to be expected of a horse.
@@melanies.6030 It should be the norm. The reason that horse ran to the other was because he feels safer and finds more leadership in those other horses than his own owner. If he was trained properly he would have stopped and stayed with her because that's where his relief is. Horses find relief with their leaders, so he doesn't see her as his leader. Its as simple as that. Also you just proved me right. Our job as riders and owners are to train horses away from those instincts, as we train ourselves away from ours. If they still follow those prey instincts then you still have training to do. Thanks for proving me right
Hope all is well. Way too fast for those conditions luv, consider going second behind just one horse. You are certainly capable, just need to watch those conditions and have a lot more brakes when needed.❤
He actually didn’t fall because of the ground, the take off at that fence was absolutely fine he just left his legs at the fence and was already coming down before we got to the other side. The ground actually wasn’t particularly heavy so wasn’t a cause for concern as we’ve been team chasing the spring season and the ground has been the same if not worse in some spots. It’s a speed class so we are travelling at a fair pace as we always do, unfortunately when following I cannot change his pace much as he is chasing the horse in front who sets the pace! I’ve gone over and over what happened and really it’s just one of those unlucky things in this sport that happens sometimes! x
The conditions were fine! This is a speed run and they're meant to be fast, and while this pony is whizzy, there was NO chance of him keeping up (as far as I can see lol) It was just an unfortunate jump is all.

Listening to this was so painful. I have asthma and I can feel the tension in your chest with each breath. I'm so sorry!
I have asthma also, it’s so hard to do anything that requires running when you have a bad cough!
I will also so have to agree I have asthma too

I was waiting so patiently for the fall…❤😂

I just watched Meg's vid with Freddy Steele to learn how to fall properly! hope you recovered!
With this kind of fall sadly there’s no way to change anything, it happens so fast and the horse came down too

I had a swelling finger and I have to wait til September to ride again

Was the wrist ok?
I thought the lady when fell of would be nice like u don’t say “.. SIT STILL FOR ME , “
She was REALLY annoying , trying to pretend that she knew what she was talking about , NOT ! Showing off really
Lmao what i was thinking exact opposite 😂
Friend do you have asthma? Thinking about how your breathing sounds.
yikes scary, so was your wrist broken?
Tbh the old lady was trying to help but she sounded a bit rude
The intense breathing had me concerned you’d pass out
Hay lily I wish you and your horse is fine after the fall , but tell me this one thing the horse was running but you were panting why ??.

Oh fuck its broken ain’t it…… 😂😂😂😂
Nobody’s talking about the horse who rolled abuse
Yea the horse pore fing
Right, because horses falling is abuse. 😂
She fell at 5:13
the heavy breathing is a bit concerning are you okay??
i have asthma
☹💔🐴🐎
Me looking in the comments to see if anyone is making fun of her so I can back her up 😅

If I was u in that position not gonna lie I would get up straight away to go get my horse but then u where so well handling this
Until you’ve had a fall like this you don’t understand. I was injured so couldn’t get straight up
this whole thing about getting up to check the horse and disregarding your own injuries is not the mindset you want.
causes even more issues
@LilyEquestrian I did have a fall like this got up and got my horse u got an injury thankfully I didn't?
Ouch glad you ok!!! One question what’s ur horses name and is it a pony…? Also could u plz pin❤
he's a horse and his name is inky!

Why you breathing so heavily I do horse riding but I never breathe like that

Need better brakes in his mouth!
If only asthma made it that easy.
