I love how the group ends up playing all the classic games throughout the night. (Jenga when he stacks furniture to escape, Hot Potato when they run through the house with the egg, and Operation when she tries to get the bullet out)
Yes! Also, something that pretty much went over my head upon first watch. It’s a really fun rewatch to catch all of the classic games they end up playing. Such a silly plot but cleverly written and well acted. It took me and I think a lot of ppl time to properly appreciate this movie.
I remember dying laughing watching this in the theatre. This is a really amazing film, but I don't see anyone talking about it anymore. I have to rewatch it. Thanks for reminding me!
Same! I saw this in theaters by myself and I left the theater (still laughing) and calling all my friends to tell them they needed to see it so I could laugh and talk about it with someone else. Original and actually good!
I remember seeing this in theaters with my sister and we still love watching it. The movie performed well at the box office and with critics. The writers of the movie liked how they left the open ending for a sequel, but felt it would be hard to top this one. I just love how all the characters seem like actual friends, the chemistry was great. And of course Jesse Plemons steals the whole movie. He was even nominated for an award for this role.
Love this movie so much, such an underrated gem. The co-directors of this (John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein) also directed the Dungeons & Dragons movie, which is also a great film, hope y’all check it out one day
Good to see another Freaks and Geeks alum doing well. I never watched Bones till lately and he was in that until they killed him off so he could do more directing.
I remember everyone going into this movie expecting something completely different only to get unexpectedly surprised by how genuinely good it was. So fun to watch in the theaters. This is why, even though I appreciate streaming at home, there’s always something so timeless about enjoying a movie in the theaters.
“How can that be profitable for Frito Lay?” Is my favorite line. Funny enough, there were packs of soda for sale near me that were 3 for 1 and I got a good laugh thinking of this movie when I saw it
Such a great movie I would so want to see a sequel to this with more Gary the directors of this also did the new dungeon and dragon movie which also deserved a lot more at the box office loved the reaction
Year late, but just wanted to say I love this movie. So many fun elements. The Denzel joke definitely lands flat, but there's a post credit scene that makes it better. When Max soaks the dog in blood and cleans it up, the shirt he uses is all covered in blood, and then the dog shakes all the blood onto the memorial of Debbie. With how creepy Gary is, it's supposed to make you question whether or not Debbie left, or if Gary killed her lol. In the post credit scene, you see Debbie meet not Denzel at the gas station and she has that same look in her eyes so you know she's not dead lol.
Maybe I’m just naive but as soon as the real game night kidnappers showed up I trusted the whole thing was a real crime ring thing happening but the ending with Gary tricking them surprised me
This was great! And this is totally a take on the 1997 thriller movie, The Game. It's a different plot (and not a comedy) but the same premise where a rich brother buys a service, and you can't tell what's a game and what's real until the very end. I've loved that movie for years. What a fun spin on it!
YES!! LOVE THIS MOVIE!! I saw this with my family and we cracked up laughing! Non-stop! These are the stupidest characters I've ever seen! But still, it's quite an amazing funny comedy adventure film.
The guys who wrote and directed this also wrote and directed Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. I think you would enjoy it as well. Action, comedy and heart.
Love this movie, seen it so many times. Don’t think I’ve seen it since I finally watched FNL tho and I just put together it was an FNL reunion before y’all said it. It was hilarious how often y’all were going back and forth whether is was all part of the game night
Bro.......... I wanted to like new girl but I could not stand it and found jess insufferable. This just made me confront the fact that humanity is vast and we can be very very very different lololol
@@lafatte24Jess was not my fav, but the show was enjoyable overall and most of the characters get better as the series goes along. I thought I was going to hate Schmidt at the beginning of the show, but Max Greenfield somehow managed to make him likable.
No it's not all a game somebody jumping out of a car is not a game what's wrong with you three??? Did you guys think this whole movie it's just one big game Ben realities going to hit you in the head
I think you guys spoiled it for yourselves shouting "it's a game, it's a game" every five minutes. It was not all a game. When you figure out which part was real and which was a game you'll enjoy its cleverness more.
I’ve had a real bad day yesterday. Lost a very important friend to Cancer 💔 he fought for 3 years. He was big in the Houston Music Scene, I’m def looking forward to this reaction bc I need a bit of happiness… 💛🤟🏻🩵

@@AntonioGeecombined with Mouse Trap
The creat falling off the conveyor belt is Mouse Trap. Everyone finding clues throughout the night is Clue.

This movie and the movie TAG are literally so funny. They both have the same vibe! I'd recommend TAG for some day!
oh my gosh, I forgot about TAG! Such a fun movie.
“Doesn’t seem very profitable for Frito Lay.” Is one of my fav things to quote lmaooo

Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
Hear hear. I love it.
They did a decent job with the National Lampoons Vacation reboot.
No matter how many times I watch it, this movie still sends me😂
The guy that plays not Denzel (Malcolm Hughes) lives where I do and I see him at my job ever so often!
I’m not big on sequels (new content ftw) but I could watch another one of these with the same actors. Such a funny film
Now that we know Rob has never watched New Girl that’s gonna have to be a future comedy pick!
During the pandemic, I rented a movie theatre and screened this movie for several friends and family. It was so fun to see it on the big screen!
Pound for pound, the best comedy in the last 10 years of cinema.

I agree. Rachel McAdams is gorgeous! I loved her in Red Eye.
The cop next door is Jesse Plemmons. He's married the Kirstin Dunst.

The Denzel joke had me HOWLING the first time I watched it lol

😂 Gary! I forgot how funny his character was. I alway really enjoyed Ryan, he was adorably dumb 😆
I'm glad yall don't get tired of the word hot to every movie actor
This is one of those movies I've been looking for reactions to for a while now. I'm glad you guys got to it.
Caught this movie on a plane, and loved it!
When you put a random film on to pass the time and it's actually really good

How could that possibly be profitable for Frito Lay?
YES!!

I LOVE this movie. So good!
You need to watch the movie “Tag” , based on a true story. Comedy.
@43:28 Aw man. Talked over a great joke.
Should follow it up with the original "is it real? is it fake?" movie: The Game.

New Girl is genuinely a great comedy show, I would rank it higher than Friends and higher than It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

You guy’s should really react to the movie “Due Date”, starring Robert Downey jr., such a funny movie.
