As an introverted Scandinavian the way his character makes small talk is how it felt every time a stranger spoke to me in the US, meanwhile here my neighbors barely even say hello!
I had zero expectations going into this but wow what a great movie. The cast was amazing, every side character was fun and interesting. Balancing all those characters and multiple plot twists with a lot of good comedy is impressive filmmaking
This is one of my favorite comdey movies. Jason Bateman became one of my favorite acrots because of this(and Horrible Bosses). I love his style of comedy.! I can never get over the Frito-Lays bit, Jesse Plemons deliveres the line "How can that be profitable for Frito-Lay" perfectly haha. I suggest yall watch Tag, came out around the same time and has the same comedic energy! Super funny!

This movie almost toppled Airplane from my number one favorite comedy. It is criminally underrated but I'm so happy more people are now embracing it. So incredible!
I came to this movie via some channel on cable, and loved it! To the point I bought my copy of it AND, during the pandemic, I rented out a movie theatre for a private viewing of Game Night. People really enjoyed it, including the naysayers. Love this movie!
I agree with the "Tag" recommendations, but also would love to see you guys react to "This Is Where I Leave You" with Bateman, Adam Driver, Tina Fey, Jane Fonda, Katherine Hahn... it's a stacked cast with a lot of heart & hilarity 😂❤
I really liked the layer upon layer of well-known actors from other IP. Too often I figure out who is the bad guy based on there is a singular well know actor left over after I figured out the good guys. The American remake of Girl with a Spider Tattoo comes to mind. The studios seem to like to save money by hiring unknowns to fill out the bad guy entourage.
I saw this in the movie theatre when I was going once a week and if I didn't have a movie on the list, I just picked one by the title. This was one of those (The Menu was another). I snort laughed a couple of times in the theatre. Good thing it was empty. Now to see if you snort laugh too.
