I have a 2020 Ford Ranger FX4 with 52k miles. I go off road, haul a boat and it’s lifted with 33” tires. I have NOT had a single issue with the drivetrain. The only issue was the rear breaks had premature wear at 34k miles. Front were fine. I have the 2.3 L turbo and it runs great…
The vast majority of modern late model trucks ( and cars) are a can of worms. And diesel trucks-OMG !emissions control / EGR have destroyed this class of truck and even heavy commercial ones too. And CAFE standards have outlived their usefulness a long time ago. F the government from EPA to EVs F it; keep your old stuff running guys and gals.
F150 haven't used the 5.4 triton for a while now. It's 5.0 coyote v8 which is leaps and bounds more reliable. That 5.4 was the last gen

I have 1999 F250 5.4 2V and have not had any of the problems you mentioned, 241,000 original engine and trans. Ford doesn't use the 5.4 anymore.
Another reason to keep my 1995 GMC pickup with over 343 thousand miles. Its easy and cheap to maintain.
Yep love my old Chevy vans!
Just Say "NO!!!!", to Turbo's!
Ford has not put the 5.4 in F150 for multiple years. You are totally out of date. Very poor information.
