- A recently added addition to the Glock line of striker fired guns. The long slide .45 ACP pistol, the Glock 41. I really enjoyed shooting it! Thanks to Bill for allowing us to use his handgun for this review.
When I was looking for the Glock 41 gen 4 there were none to be had. I bought a Glock 21 gen 4. I have no regrets whatsoever. The 21 has been absolutely perfect. Hey Wish, great shooting as usual. Take care my friend.
Bought one a couple of months ago, its probably the best .45 ACP gun I've ever fired. Recoil feels like a 9mm.
One of my favorite Glocks. If you like Glocks and the 45acp then is a must have. The thinner longer slide and barrel is a great combo.
Man... you shoot that gun very well. Always impressed with the consistency of your marksmanship.
G41 is an excellent gun. Mine is equipped with tritium night sights and a Streamlight TLR1. It serves guard duty in the in the gun box by the bed. Excellent choice for home defense. One thing you didn't mention is that the slide is the same as that found in the G34/35. This is a slimmer slide than the G21. Due to Glock using the slimmer slide, the gun weighs about the same as the 21, even with the longer slide and barrel. I forget the exact difference, but it's close.
I Picked up a G41 recently and have taken it out to the range a few times and it feels great in the hand. Soft shooting like a 9mm with just a hair more barrel hop up that is easily controllable for tight groups during rapid shooting. and hot damn is it accurate, that extra length compared to the g21 does give it an edge in that respect.
The 41 is sweet and accurate.
I love my 41, i had some problem with it, but i still love it. we are in business again

Good video as usual.I went to a local dealer today ready to buy a Ruger SR45 but I ran across a G41 and put it lay away.It was a rebuilt model straight back from the factory with a lifetime warranty and everything a new Gen 4 comes with.It's the same as a brand new gun but the dealer had to put it in the used section.A brand new G41 on Bud's web site is going for $642 but I'm giving $549 for mine.It may be rebuilt but to me it's the same as new as everything was replaced,and a new finish on it as well.I'm chompin'' at the bit to pick it up next week.
I have the G21 Gen 4 and its so soft shooting if feels like shooting 9mm.
Nice review. I don't carry a 41, but it's my favorite at the range. Gen4 MOS with a Vortex Venom & Trijicon elevated tritium sights

I just got a Glock 41 Gen 4 I'm going to set mine up to shoot 45 Super for deer hunting
Sounds interesting...I think I'd chose a larger caliber in a centerfire rifle.

I own a g41 and it is great. Run warren tactical fibre .215 front black rear.
Also I run an x300ultra.....
I would like to see that in a single stack. The G30 is a fine weapon however, I think a 45acp should be a full size fun with a 5in barrel. I worry about weapons retention with a double stack 45.

or go on gun broker and buy the Glock 41 upper ... the 41 uses the gen 4 lower for the Glock 20 and 21

Can you sit down with that long slide IWB?
Not comfortable for me. But the standard length works fine for appendix carry. I carry the full size M&P or G17 no issue.
I have an Aliengear iwb holster for my Glock 41 and I actually carry it at work. It's just like carrying a 5" 1911. It's not too long when I sit down and the muzzle doesn't touch the seat, but it's close. I say it's doable. I love my G41 by the way.
Don't cheat yourself on those up-look-press drills! Start with your hand away from the pistol so you get the practice building the grip in the holster from scratch
Does anyone think that thinner barrel might not last as long as the 21?
The barrel walls are thicker than a 1911
I bought one of these and quite frankly I hate it. The trigger is heavy and gritty. The slide while nice and slim is too light and the muzzle flip is excessive. A solid steel recoil assembly helped a little. The grip finger grooves didn't fit my large hand at all so I ground off the humps. Of coarse the stock sights are crap. For a "competition" gun you don't get much for almost $700. My gen 3 Glock 30 is a much better gun. The Springfield XDM 5.25 .45 is a much better gun for the same money.
Sloppy recoil management, go back to 9mm
