Hi Stud-Lord! I’m the designer of the Gold Mine Expedition. Thank you so much for your kind words, and a huge thanks to the LEGO community for your amazing support! 😍 This is a dream come true, and I couldn’t ask for more. I can’t wait to share with you all the official images of the model next year! 😍
Absolute pleasure. Congratulations, I thought it would be chosen at it's such a great design. Really looking forward to it - and as for extra images :) yes please. I'll baggsy an exclusive on those and an interview with you ;) Seriously well done
As I already commented on Instagram, please please submit the Sushi Restaurant again in the next round! it was incredible (also tempted to get this one, honestly wonderful design for both)!
Hey man, great video as always. I really appreciate that you featured my projects so much during the voting phase! I am sorry that the toll bridge did not make it but I hope you are still happy with the tower :)
Hey! Yeah I'm looking forward to it hugely! I liked your other one just slightly more but this is still awesome and SO GLAD they chose it so we get the wolfpack :) big congrats to you, amazing job. I look forward to crowdfunding
The Art Factory consistently got a high volume of comments on the BrickLink page, so I'm fairly confident it's one of the most popular among voters. But a few castles will have cancelled each other out, because they can't pick too many from the same theme for a single round.
I absolutely would have bought the sushi restaurant and the samurai castle, I love both of those sets. I hope they resubmit for future rounds that may occur and are eventually picked!
Congrats to all of the finalists! Well deserved praise. I plan on re-submitting my Wizard's Tower for Series 7 in January. Any feedback on how it could be improved is welcome!
I can't shake the feeling that LEGO put the single Wolfpack minifig in the Medieval Town Square set exclusively to provide BrickLink Designer Program creators a new torso to design their own sets around. I should say, design sets for LEGO. I would even wager that if LEGO didn't purchase BrickLink that this torso would have remained securely in the past. I understand that using BDP and Ideas to reduce the risk of producing a new line of Castle outright is a clever business tactic, but it feels disingenuous. I think a revival line for Castle (even if we are talking 18+ centered sets) would do extremely well, evidenced by how quickly BDP Castle themed sets sell out.
I agreed with four of the chosen ones including the Sequoia Tree Trail which I feel is different to most sets and pure majestic nature in plastic LEGO form. The Goldmine and Art factory are stunning picks as well. Maybe the only one I felt is not quite as exciting for me is the Off Road Adventure but that is not to say it is not a worthwhile winner. keep up the good work Stud-Lord as I enjoy your thought processes on upcoming releases.
I'm disappointed Lego only picked 1 Ideas submission. I don't have any interest in any of these sets, but that's okay. My wallet is thankful. The one I like most is the Sequoia Tree Trail, but unless they really suprise me with the pricing, I don't see myself ordering that one. I simply don't want to pay 250+ euros for it.
I’m pretty happy the Mineral’s Collection for picked as I think it will be a really nice display, especially if I also get the Gold Mine. The Gold Mine is the one that most has my eye of the set, but it’s pretty good spread all around. Congrats to the Art Factory and the other picked ones as well.
I quite like the 2 camping forest things. I might get them if funds align. The mine, I might get, even if I hate western - it's an easy fix into a medieval castle. Regarding the Wolfpack fortress - I like it, but I would have preffered the sexy bridge, but the tower we got is by no means bad. I will love to add it to my collection
The sequoia trail set was in my top 3 - very happy that one got picked. A ton of collectors like myself have the A-frame cabin and treehouse sets, and this fits that vibe perfectly! I would not be surprised if it sells out along with the off-road adventure. Still disappointing about the sushi restaurant… hopefully next time 🤞
I might get the camping one as it works nice with the tree house/A frame but none of the others really speak to me. I like nature vibe Lego but it does not feel special enough with the price tag it will have. I have the Mushroom house and will get the mushroom village. Those really are super unique.
I dont understand that they picked the tree trail. It seems like a huge amount of pieces to achieve those big trees and the green grass. I doubt people will really want to pay so much for it. I kind of miss another nice castle. There were so many beautiful castles to pick from this round. Well i guess we got the wolfpacktower, which is nice. The gold mine looks nice, but also kind of overkill imo sizewise. I wished any of lego castles they made had that much interior space.
The gold mine and Wolf Pack will be the two I will be trying to purchase. The art studio would be nice to have. But affording the three would be steep. The two camping will be a pass.
The mine is definitely the star of the show here. I probably won't be getting any of these, though. I really want both the Tortuga and Transylvania sets, which will devour funds. If the ship had made the cut, that would be worth it, but as is none of these are for me, even though they are nice.
Bummed about the Arcade. I find the castle set underwhelming to be honest and the Sequoia set is going to be expensive for what it is I think due to the piece count.
The Art Factory can easily be converted to so many other buildings, Maybe shops at the bottom and one or two apartments above, Maybe shove the Big Bang Theory, Friends or Thor's appartment in there.
True, but I suspect I'll only be able to afford one set, and I want to keep it an 'art factory.' I'm just trying to work out where to add a bathroom and a bar to the set (those rooftop drinks have to come from somewhere). I'm thinking of rejigging the top floor, but I can't have the bathroom underneath the skylight, unless it has an extra ceiling, so I might have to place it at the side parallel to the lift.
That jeep / camping set is a complete waist of a spot. It's something that you can easily moc on the side. Really nothing special at all. This spot should have been for the Vintage Food Truck or the Forest Encounter Wagon; both would sell out instantly.
@@zakkoehler6820 Honestly, I have no problems with repeated winners, nor do I care if one designer won all five categories. I'm all about a good design, and if one designer can deliver all that, then take my money because it's well deserved. I don't think the Jeep / Camping design is necessary bad, but it's certainly nothing special that warrants a spot. There's nothing there that I can honestly say, I would have trouble MOCing my own. It's an undersized jeep and a tent. Contrary, we have some real awesome sets in this category that is much more deserving. Just my two cents.
@ what puzzled me is that Lego already has a yellow Range Rover on the market. So you’re really just getting the baseplates and a few shrubs. Really odd choice
Imo the tower fits much better with the Wolfpack theme. It’s small and integrates in with the landscape; something you’d expect as a defensive hideout for a band of thieves. The bridge crossing is too imposing for a group of outlaws who are supposed to operate in the shadows
I also would have preferred the bridge, though I don't disagree with the other person who replied that the tower fits the faction history better. Either way, I am buying it, haha
I also found it odd that Bricklink has both the camping and hiking trail builds in the same series. People complain when Bricklink picks two castle sets for one series, but I would venture to guess that there are a lot more castle fans than camping/forest collectors. As for the Wolfpack, I too would have preferred the bridge design, but I love the set we're getting. I think the reason this one won out is that many consider the bridge design to be too large and fancy for what the would expect of the Wolfpack faction.
I like the one that got picked for Ideas even though I was hoping for something more impressive. Not a huge fan of any of the Bricklink ones this time around. The gold mine is a maybe but I can’t imagine it being a price I’ll be okay with spending.
I wish that castle cart attack one. I fear the big castle always will ge the win, so we won't get smaller sets like that. On the fence about the Mining one.
Hello, I’m not familiar with the wider Lego fandom, are these BrickLink builds officially licensed or supported by Lego when they get crowdfunded? Could you explain to me how it works? Sorry for the dumb question…
I disagree. If they are the best design it's because they have great designers, and I wouldn't want them to stop making new designs because they already won
I have no problem if one designer won all five categories as long as it’s deserving. This is not kindergarten where each kid gets their chance of being student of the month. If a design is good, take my money
Hi Stud-Lord! I’m the designer of the Gold Mine Expedition. I thought yours was the best design of the series and better than most chosen Lego Ideas sets. I'm glad it was rightfully chosen.
Absolute pleasure. Congratulations, I thought it would be chosen at it's such a great design. Really looking forward to it - and as for extra images :) yes please. I'll baggsy an exclusive on those and an interview with you ;) Seriously well done
Congratulations. It's an amazing set.

I am SO glad the art factory got picked!
Absolutely! :)
So does this mean it's going to be made to be bought somewhere and if so where would I find this??
LOVE the art factory and soooo want wolf pack. I know you predicted the gold mine so well done but I preferred the sushi restaurant
Yeah i loved the sushi restaurant, I am very dissapointed it wasn't picked
Super happy about the art factory and the Goldmine. Both unique and beautiful creations.
I don’t bother paying attention to Lego ideas anymore until they announce what they have picked. BDP is much more exciting now
This time it was.
i dont beleive that these sets are the highest voted ones out of all the amazing sets 😂
they are not highest voted ones i believe. They are just selected by LEGO from all the designs that made 10k votes.
The Art Factory consistently got a high volume of comments on the BrickLink page, so I'm fairly confident it's one of the most popular among voters.
But a few castles will have cancelled each other out, because they can't pick too many from the same theme for a single round.
Why no sushi restaurant, samurai castle, or floating fisherman house??
They rigged the process.
I absolutely would have bought the sushi restaurant and the samurai castle, I love both of those sets. I hope they resubmit for future rounds that may occur and are eventually picked!
RETURN of the WOLFPACK 🐺👑🌟

@@legobrickhammerAwesome job man, Congratulations 👑

I find it ridiculous with so many amazing sets that they pick a few minerals on a shelf🙄
Thank goodness the castle one is a smaller piece count this time. Series 5 is going to hit my wallet hard with the castle and pirates both at the cap
The bridge at least had a unique offering. I think otherwise I'm tapped out for medieval stuff.
So pleased my all-time favourite, the Art Factory, finally got chosen!
Me too, about time 😀

The gold mine will make a nice complement to Funwhole's old West series. Looks cool!
Maybe place the Minerals next to the Gold Mine as the miners' giant discoveries.
YES!! Wolf Pack!! For the Win!! Woooo Lets GOOO!

still tho 300$? just look at the wolfpack castle compared to it with 500 less peices its kinda hard to believe🤨

I loved the Arcade too, and I don't collect City Sets
The City Arcade instructions are on Rebrickable so you still have the chance to own it 😁

Totally Agree, and yet again it is a repeat Designer, 2 of the 5 winners have won before.

Most of all i think it fits the same theme as the big tree set. So why cant we have 2 medieval Sets, which is obviously the Most wanted theme.

Gold Mine for sure - and I'm sure the Wolfpack set will sell out first
That they didnt pick Wolf Of The Swamp (the wolfhead base) is a crime!

wolfpack without a doubt

Hello, I’m not familiar with the wider Lego fandom, are these BrickLink builds officially licensed or supported by Lego when they get crowdfunded? Could you explain to me how it works? Sorry for the dumb question…
If enough people pre-order, then the set will be produced by Lego but only a limited amount. Don't know if that answers your question or not.
@@toby2078 It does thank you!
So, no Sushi restaurant?!? Probably the biggest disappointment of the year...
Happy with Bricklink but not impressed at all with the Ideas set, especially if that is the only one chosen.
No kidding. Of all the great submissions their choice was crystals 😂
Minerals Display is a hard pass for me. Such an underwhelming pick.
BrickHammer's other Castle Design was better and the same amount of pieces, not sure why they picked the one they did.
I am very disappointed that the other submission was not picked. I find Minerals boring and not interesting.
Sequoia sxcks, they should have chosen Fortuna instead ☠️
No chance with the Endurance coming out in a few days. Really sucks
@vietrounder agree. Maybe next Series ☠️👑
@@dabraka681 the fans have been saying that for the last five series. I just find it odd that BDP gave us pirate ports, islands, but no ship.

Not choosing Fortuna again is a crime.
Space sets never make it... 😭
Purpose of lego ideas is to release the most boring sets.Does any of you remember sicuoya? No? Thats because nobody likes the set with just a tree
Pretty disappointing lineup Sequiia best imo followed by camping & Wolfpack
I'm soooo tired of the same dude constantly being picked. The Brinklink contest is starting to seem rigged.
At least it was only 2 repeat designers instead of 3 like the last time.

@@vietrounder Precisely. It's about satisfying the customer base rather than giving a pat on the head for fan designers taking part.
If it's the same guy I think you mean, it's because he designs the best sets.
Lego Ideas is garbage.. The Bricklink Designer program is top tier and far superior
