If you're right about the designs I would probably just pick up 1 set (Arcade) and maybe consider a second set. Though I would pick up the bridge crossing, wild west bank, art factory if any of those were in the top 5.
I have really been wanting a arcade for the city that could be easily converted to modular. I could even see people taking the set and adding something like a laser tag area.
The colors of Woodland Hollow are amazing and would look great between the Treehouse and Rivendell - I love the details and the unique shaping - heck! It can look good next to the Ninjago Garden . . . though, the Wolf of the Swamp would look even better next to the Ninjago Garden set

The choices are not subjective on the part of Bricklink and I am pretty sure you know that. They start by choosing the the most popular set, which fills up certain buckets, such a piece count category and theme category. Then they choose the next most popular one that is not in those buckets. Hard to explain in a comment but you can find videos of the program lead at Bricklink talking about it
Nice video man... Really tough choices this time, but that is more credit to all the submissions there, I guess. Not sure about the Gold min, but man, that would be a nice set.
Thank you, appreciate it. Yeah it is hard this time round. There are several others I haven't featured that I really like but for one reason or another I don't think they'd be picked. Some top submissions all competing for only 5 places though
Well-thought-through predictions. You may certainly be right. I've hoped that Lego would expand the number of sets (more than 5) and quantity (30,000) it will produce with Bricklink, especially if the quality and demand for these sets grow. As a castle fan, I don't like the Wolf of the Swamp set. But, I LOVE the Elven Haven and think it's a great change from the castle theme we've seen.
Thanks for watching :) yeah it would be nice if they upped the limit but then they do need to be clearer with what they choose. It’s crazy when some sets sell out so fast and others barely get funded
The series like to average out at around 2500 pieces per set, so I can see the reasoning behind choosing these 5, but I really hope yon are wrong with the Food Truck and we get the Forest Encounter.
I really like the Viking fortress but I sense we will be seeing the outlaw forest den - which is also fantastic/ for castle anyways! Great picks as always 👍

41:40 I'm one of those fans 😂 Just have massive castle fatigue, I'd rather see more western stuff so I'm hoping we get at least one western. I absolutely love the general store one.
Ilucky's Western designs are so good. He has like 6-7 buildings in total, unfortunately we're probably not going to get anything beyond the general store and the train set.
Probably not what will make it, but my favorites are: Elven Haven Forest Encounter Red Rose Castle Gold Mine Expedition Wolf of the Swamp I also love Woodland Hallow, but I limited myself to 5 and also tried to select ones of various sizes. I personally would pick Woodland Hollow over Gold Mine Expedition, but I'm more of a medieval fantasy fan. I do think the Gold Mine is done well enough to be in the top 5 even if I wouldn't buy it myself (and my wallet would thank me for that).
Good picks. All great designs. Tbh any from this video are good enough in my mind, it’s just down to whatever criteria Lego want to fill which does seem to change. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
I’m a huge fan of the gold mine. However with its piece count I think it will be an either/or with the Elven Haven. I’m hoping for the box car and caboose scene as a lower count set versus the blue train.
I agree with Gold Mine and Elven Haven. I'm not sure about the "rules" of picking the 5 winners as far as how those have to be spread out over themes or sizes. With that said I'm still a huge fan of Sushi restaurant (寿司屋), Pump House, and the Pirates Dream. If the castle fans have their day I wouldn't be shocked if the Lion's Keep, The Red Rose Castle, Brick Knight's Castle, Blacksmith's Breeze, The Ragged Crow Inn, or Svan House shows up. I could imagine these smaller sets doing ok as well: Water Taxi, Fountain of Love, Cozy Craft Cottage, and Blooming Bouquets. Disney Aladdin fans might like the Life of Persia set but it would be a different scale (minifig vs Friends) than they are used to. There are a number of houses I like: Tavern Under the Snow, The Lake Pavilion, Christmas in the Snow, and River House but I don't see them in the final 5. If the Train fans have their way, I might expect the Blue Train to show up in the final 5. Oh last but not least I am a huge pirate theme fan but I'm not sure which one of the submissions would pull into the final 5. Frankly, I think I have advocated that some of these themes just have a designated slot and then all the rest compete for the remaining slots (however many that would be). Rather than risk one theme fan base dominating the entire experience.
I'm tripping out rn. In reference to the vintage food truck set: I was in interlaken Switzerland yesterday and saw this exact truck color and all and a 3 wheeled car like that on the same street. Neither were food trucks but they were literally those exact vehicles
I really hope that if we get a wolfpack set we dont get this wolfhead abomination. I get that you are in awe of the technical aspect of it, but it is just weird, doesnt make any sense and doesnt scratch my old school itch at all.
Thanks for the great videos. Would appreciate feedback on my Wizard's Tower design as it did not make your top 20. I think as a medieval/fantasy build that is less than 2,500 pieces and does not rely on factions it provides something new. Would love to know your thoughts!
It’s an awesome build I featured it in my castle medieval video. Really like the concept. I just don’t think they’ll pick it. Not because it isn’t good enough, it’s great. Just my guesses of what they’ll shortlist and most likely choose to produce
@@Stud-Lord Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate. Any suggestions are welcome because I plan to re-submit in January for Series 7 if I don't make it this time.
That black dragon is fantastic (speaking as someone who has entered my own black dragon MOC into the Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons contest but didn't win). That said, I'm not sure how good its chances are given the seemingly limited playability of the set (it has a lot of points of articulation but we don't actually see any different poses plus the size and weight of the dragon gives me pause) plus we already have a similarly designed/posed dragon in the Red Dragon's Tale set. Would be cool though.
@abiley84 who says i don't like it? I featured it in my 'best buildings of bricklink series 6' video. But no, imo I don't think it will be picked as a winner. Is a great design though
@@Stud-Lord Oh yeah that's right! I watched that the other day. Sorry, this video was your winner prediction video, not "best buildings". I still hope it makes it though!
The arcade is a perfect set. I don't collect city but it is great. The art factory is great, but Lego doesn't allow modulars, which they might call this one. I had the same complaint about the Elf Haven water and would just change the water to translucent parts. It fits in great with LOTR as the Gray Havens with Cirdan. The Gold Mine is another perfect set.
Need more love for vintage space, and lego robots overall - I am really hoping to see Mr. YJ's "THE POWER MECHA for SPACE CONSTRUCTION" make it through!
a medieval bridge would be nice, but i dont think the wolfpack is strong enough to control such an important crossing. I hope we get one of the wolfpack forts though
I agree. I always imaged that faction to be similar to the forestmen. They are outlaws who's goal is to loot, rob, steel and vanish. Never considered them to be stationary with a stronghold. But for some reason they are submitted so many castles designs for them.
Likely or not, I'm gonna be rooting for Pirates of the Seven Seas. That is an absolute dream ship right there. The style, the colors, the detail, it's just magnificent, and would be the perfect complement to the Thieves of Tortuga.
It’s an awesome ship and I’d like to think that as it’s been so long since we got decent ships that Lego would do so… but they also have a habit of not doing what fans clearly want
Some really nice sets on this don't know which ones will get picked though for the train fans though lego ideas has the mallard on just over 4000 votes and a polar express on over 9000 votes
I would guess they select a large lego castle set again. At the end of the day the sets are selling out faster than anything else. From a business standpoint, I have a hard time seeing them turning down easy money.
I think the Medieval Toll Bridge will be the castle pick for this series. The Wolf of the Swamp goes to the extreme with fantasy, that I think it has a rather narrow fan base. It's well designed, but that set has zero appeal to people like me that want more realistic looking castle sets. Not to mention you're getting five Wolf Pack figures with the bridge, versus only one with the swamp.
I am torn on elven haven, I feel that because it can be rearranged it always looks unfinished on both ends, it feels like it wants to be Rivendell but ends up like a fancier Castle Nocturnia from the dreamzzz line (don't get me wrong that is a fantastic set but it's no Rivendell) That being said I may still get it if its chose and I absolutely want the gold mine!! That being said the set I went for in series 3 and that was my fav is the lost city so who am I to talk haha, I love it as a gorgeous empty canvas to put something like Indiana Jones in or my DnD minifigs
I personally would much rather see The Royal Carriage selected for one of the smaller slots. It would simultaneously satisfy the medieval fans and the people who are a little tired of the tidal wave of knights/bandits medieval angle. Though as you correctly pointed out, the medieval fan base is a bottomless well of enthusiasm, especially with parting with their money to sell out those sets. I don't see the Wolf of Swamp taking a slot, it just feels a little too on the nose with the design, almost edgy. Kudos to the designer all the same as the set does have it's fans, I just don't know that it would have the best wide reception. I'm putting heavy stock into the Gold Mine OR Sushi Restaurant. Both fantastic designs, and a previous version of the Sushi build has been submitted before. Not that I expect a pity win for it, but I would buy one, maybe two, if it was chosen. I think the Elven Haven looks nice enough, but I would be hard pressed to think they would choose that for one of the coveted large-piece-count slots. Though I also would NOT have believed that the Lost City would have been chosen for series 3, yet here we are. In the end, Series 6 is very competitive and just represents another reason why I would like to see an expanded finalist list. Maybe even just bump it up to 7 or 8. Though I also don't know what constraints there are on production and fulfillment so it may be easier said than done.
I would pick the Pirates of the Seven Seas as one of the top five instead of the Elven haven. That’s just because I can’t say “Elven Haven” seven times fast.
I will go for Walt the robot (will be very popular), the arcade, Outlaw Den, Sushi Restaurant, Gold Mine. I think I would need to get all 5 😱. I kind of like the Elven one from afar, but it lacks detail when looking close up, and just is a bit weird. Don’t think it will get the votes.
I admit that Walt the robot is cute. However, it's really a stand alone, display set and doesn't have compatibility with any other sets. IMO it has very little play value. Most lego fanatics are scarce with display space and it would surprise me if this gets selected.
Also just adding that the ones chosen are not really to do with what Bricklink likes. It is purely done on most votes, once portfolio conflicts are removed and then consideration of one per theme and the 2500 target average.
@@Badgers_9 I personally feel that Walt would be more suitable as an official Lego retail set because it’s a great gift item. It’s a perfect gift for girlfriends, nieces, or virtually anyone that is just a casual fan who can afford shelf space. As for hardcore fans on BL, I don’t see a high demand. But that’s just my take.
My personal guess: Medieval Toll Bridge OR Wolf of the Swamp + Arcade + Gold Mine (unless lego are put off by western sets, they did really poorly before) + Container Cafee. Elven Haven is cute, but I think they will refrain from making non castle castles. I'd much rather bet on them making 2 Castles sets (like the Toll Bridge and Royal carriage). I honestly don't agree with the bat (not that I hate boats, but I loathe the brickbuilt hulls - this is rich coming from me, when I was little I used to have a lot of space sets - and my one pirate ship I could make was made out of slopes and such ). Do you have any idea why they can't use the prefab hulls used in bowser's airship? Pirates of the seven seas and Fortuna get the bin from me - hate the hulls. The container Caffee seems to be the better of the small ones (never going to touch it - unless I just get all of them, but it's really good, much better than the other 2 small sets). The arcade falls here for me as well. Really well done, but not for me. I do like it though. Same for the Art Factory. Regarding the bust, I like it, it should be built and put somewhere in a lego museum, it's really well made. Do I want it? Not sure ... I 'd rather have a castle or hut or something like that. The pumphouse has little chance of making it. It's really good, but not sure who will want it ... because it's not really city, not medieval, it's a bit odd. It's good though, no questions there. I am not a fan of Western, not at all, but I find myself LOVING the gold mine/ I might get it if it gets to the final 5 just to have a one in all western sets. Yes, you were perfectly right, it appeals to me even if it's not my jam. I am even considering if I can rework it into a medieval mine. The gothic castle - I would be astounded if it makes the top 5. It's really good looking, but transilvania is already chosen and it's red ... who wants something like this, will get the red castle. Dragon attack - not my thing, but it's looking great. It's just too big for what I would want out of a dragon. Ninjago dragons are fine for me. While I generally like the idea of the horse carriage + ambush, I find it, I dunno ... 2 studs too wide maybe ? Not sure honestly. The Royal Carriage seems much better. Elven Haven - great set, no elves ... this is what happens when LEGO doesn't give us general use sets with elf ears. This will pair up well with someone's Fantasy era collection, if he has some 10 elves to add to this, next to a fancy forest, near the castle / dwarf mine. Medieval Toll Bridge is really likely to win (unless a smaller set wins for castle). This isn't the best looking castle ever, but it has play and display and wolfpack - all at the same time. (also it looks like a bigger version of the original wolfpack tower) Woodland Hollow - I would be amazed if this won over the wolfpack toll bridge, but it's really well made. I like it , and the interior furniture items and such are GREAT. Looking better at it, it looks like the Deku tree + 2 houses at the side. Lovely! Wolf of the Swamp is really good looking - I would LOVE IT, however the toll bridge has more play. I do want a small castle set
I love your channel and your deranged mind. 😅. I think and hope your are wrong however in your predictions. Foodtruck and elven haven those two i agree with. But honestly I would Pay for one of the really amazing castle designs, rather than try and go for that wolf head. I think it will get old fast.
I just want one of the real wolf pack sets (sorry, since u really seem to like it, but I really have no interest in the wolfhead one) I think most fans would be disapointed it that would be chosen and we would miss out on all the wonderful wolf pack castles because of it

I hope the Fortuna ship gets chosen!
The privateer frigate Fortuna
Thank you much more for you also! Enjoy all video 🎉
Wow.... I am pretty stunned that the Samurai Castle did not make your top 20.
I’m a huge fan of the gold mine. However with its piece count I think it will be an either/or with the Elven Haven. I’m hoping for the box car and caboose scene as a lower count set versus the blue train.
I hope they do the Wolfpack fotress one. The swamp one, That feels very action figure to me. Not lego. Could be wrong.
In reference to the vintage food truck set:
I was in interlaken Switzerland yesterday and saw this exact truck color and all and a 3 wheeled car like that on the same street. Neither were food trucks but they were literally those exact vehicles
lol weird
I really hope that if we get a wolfpack set we dont get this wolfhead abomination. I get that you are in awe of the technical aspect of it, but it is just weird, doesnt make any sense and doesnt scratch my old school itch at all.
I think the Wolf of the swamp is great also the Blacksmith both of these are so different .
Pirate ship is great. Needs cloth sails though
You didn't like the Sushi Restaurant? I'm hoping for this the most
honestly, that one is BY FAR the best.
I am really hoping that one gets through. It is by far my favorite.
The Sushi Restaurant and the Gold Mine Expedition are both by the same Designer, so if one wins, the other can't.
From the ships - as someone who doesn’t collect them only the black-gold pirate ship would appeal to me
The arcade is a perfect set.
Yeah good call with the elf haven 👍
Need more love for vintage space, and lego robots overall - I am really hoping to see Mr. YJ's "THE POWER MECHA for SPACE CONSTRUCTION" make it through!
The woodland hollow would be perfect with the DND stuff
a medieval bridge would be nice, but i dont think the wolfpack is strong enough to control such an important crossing.
Is now time for historical ships! Privateer Frigate Fortuna and Pirates of the Seven Seas are to be chosen this time!
I am torn on elven haven, I feel that because it can be rearranged it always looks unfinished on both ends, it feels like it wants to be Rivendell but ends up like a fancier Castle Nocturnia from the dreamzzz line (don't get me wrong that is a fantastic set but it's no Rivendell)
That being said I may still get it if its chose and I absolutely want the gold mine!!
That being said the set I went for in series 3 and that was my fav is the lost city so who am I to talk haha, I love it as a gorgeous empty canvas to put something like Indiana Jones in or my DnD minifigs
Gold mine and sushi store for the win 🏆
Both by the same designer so both can’t be chosen
Can you provide the link to your medieval episode. I can’t find it
I personally would much rather see The Royal Carriage selected for one of the smaller slots.
That’s just because I can’t say “Elven Haven” seven times fast.
the galeon is badass
where do we get the finalists?
The dwarf is amazing, but i wouldnt get it myself, doesnt fit with my collection
omg I want that dragon!!!
@@vietrounder you could well be right. The robot is cool for such a low piece count and probably would be below £50.
For me, the dragon attack and red rose
Does the new Jaws set not have a boat of similar style and size?
I don’t get your enthusiasm for the Elven Haven. The two big set in the final should be Viking Fortress and Gold Mine.
RIP I don't see my castle on this list. 💀
(also it looks like a bigger version of the original wolfpack tower)
Woodland Hollow - I would be amazed if this won over the wolfpack toll bridge, but it's really well made. I like it , and the interior furniture items and such are GREAT. Looking better at it, it looks like the Deku tree + 2 houses at the side. Lovely!
Wolf of the Swamp is really good looking - I would LOVE IT, however the toll bridge has more play. I do want a small castle set
Wolfpack
I love your channel and your deranged mind. 😅. I think and hope your are wrong however in your predictions. Foodtruck and elven haven those two i agree with. But honestly I would Pay for one of the really amazing castle designs, rather than try and go for that wolf head. I think it will get old fast.
I just want one of the real wolf pack sets (sorry, since u really seem to like it, but I really have no interest in the wolfhead one) I think most fans would be disapointed it that would be chosen and we would miss out on all the wonderful wolf pack castles because of it
I miss the viking fortress
are these real sets or just fan made?
why cant i choose wich one i like
like i does not give me an option to like it
Why aren't there ever any speceships?
Ask Benny
Im sorry but where is the Japanese one….?
