I had a hard time coming up with a good design for the drawer pulls on my last project… the Writing Desk. After a few hours and a few different designs I decided on this simple turned knob. Sometimes less is more and this is a great example. Turning the drawer pulls is the last video in the writing desk series I hope you enjoy the videos and thanks for watching.

You're right, Jon. Those knobs/pulls really work with the top. They catch your attention without taking away from the table top. Great job~! A new set of plans to pick up for my Jon Peters collection~! 😀

I’ll say it. You’re probably my favorite woodworker on youtube anymore. Not just tool reviews and sponsors. Thanks for teaching with your content.

Great info, Jon. The last time I had knobs and didn't have screws, I just drilled a like size hole in the drawer and used a dowel to join the knob to the drawer front. Worked well and it's still holding.

Nice! I think the pulls work so well because they echo the legs. Also, they’ll be much easier to pull when you’re sitting at the desk, compared to the other two, which seem to be designed for opening drawers when you’re standing.
