Jokes aside these guns are pretty cool I love how detailed they are in their functions they are probably some of the most "authentic" futuristic guns ive seen in FPS

While the other use new age tecnology such as hover, energy and plasma type weapons. And I hope BF2042 would recreate them in future DLC or unlockables.

Also, all FPS game developers should at least learn from _LucasArts_ about how to handle and use pistols, specifically that used in _Republic Commando_ : "Come on... using and firing pistols from the either side of the screen instead of from dead-center, like any real-life officers would do? You're joking me, right ?"
These guns look and sound so unique. I wonder what sounds could remake have... I really want this game to be updated. It's a wonderful sci-fi shooter with classes system. I hope we'll see its second breath someday.

What i loved about older BF games was the magazine mechanic,if you were to reload while having 16/30 rounds left, youd lose these 16 bullets and reload a new magazine, really liked it for some reason
Never thought about how much this makes sense. Adds in a bit of a ammo micromanagement type deal, do you reload and waste valuable bullets, or risk not having enough for the next fight?

Quite frankly games like this don't need to be remastered. 2142 is largely dead save for a holdout of die hards that still play it on weekends. What it needs is a re launch to build publicity for another BF title. Then hopefully people will realise just how much better these games were than later incantations.

those guns are so unique and creative! truely feel like Sci-Fi tech without being too fancy! and what does 2042 do? give us lame as shit weapons that feel like every other weapon from black ops 2 or advanced warfare.... nobody likes using a M5 that handels and operates exactly like an M4 when you could have a Baur H-AR instead, where the upper reciever unfolds so you can replace the magazine! thats just SO cool!

This Battlefield is one of my favorites, the Titan Mode was amazing in this game

Only ones i knew was MW that made the player holds pistol near the middle and the pose changed if the pistol has a stock equipped

One of my favorite things about BF 2142 was the assortment of what I refer to as "cassette tape" guns. I can't have been the only one thinking that.
