PAC has caseless plasma based ammo
But the question is what caliber do they used? 5.45x39mm caseless? 7.62x54mm caseless? 14.5mm caseless?

I like the majority of these, but why in the world would they animate the Turcotte Rapid SMG so you push the stock in, which ejects the mag (?), insert a magazine, and then the stock comes back out? Every single time you reload? That makes no sense. I also prefer the Malkov RK-11's original animation, how the magazine slid out vs. Project Remaster where he just punches the gun to get it out and it looks over the top.
In general a lot of the newer ones seem.. rougher. Like, not quality, but as in the character is rough with their guns while in the original animations they seemed more careful? The Bianchi FA-6 is so over the top (and sounds way worse), he doesn't even hit the magazine with his fist like the original, he just.. hits the side of the gun? It's also strange that they added shell casings to some of these, and even weirder that the scope on the Krylov FA-37 goes up and down every time you eject a magazine. Also where's my damn "HK slap" at 8:50?
An even bigger gripe I have is the weapon positions. Quite a few are pointing too far left, it doesn't look like they're pointing toward the center of the screen. Bothers me when games do that.
Overall though these aren't huge issues, the mod does a lot of great, necessary QOL stuff. Sights look good, the transition into ADS looks so much smoother, and there's no more clipping on weapons at widescreen resolutions.
And honestly I probably shouldn't complain about how rough the character is with his guns, since some of the original reload animations were PAINFULLY slow.
not gonna lie, i think the original animations and sounds are way better. Some changes just dont make any sense, stock being pushed back? why?, shells? didnt they use caseless ammo in 2142?
The animations are certainly.... different. and i am not sure all of them is in a good way.
Agreed, some of them are downright confusing. Also either RUclips messed up the file or the full auto weapon sounds are clipping like hell.
And *why would they change the PAC assault rifle and smg?* The original high pitched suppressor/whipcrack-like sound was unique and instantly recognizable.
Changes for no reason are stupid. Should have just updated textures. Sound changes ruined the sounds of each gun.
In the game PAC guns, Voss L-AR and Lambert Carbine described as weapons that use a CASELESS ammo. Why in the Remastered version cases are falling from them? IDK....
The amount of guns using cased ammo in 2142 both surprises and saddens me:(

Mostly the animations and models are better but some are too busy. The sights flipping up and down during reloads makes no sense, likewise with the stock being pushed in and out on the Turcotte. And why are the guns ejecting shells? All the weapons in 2142 use caseless ammo.
I agree. Those sights and the stock going up and down make no sense at all. It really ruins the whole thing
@@TheFito680 I think it’s to make the most out of the power supply. You never know how much it helps to keep those small bits of power.
I agree about the stock, but sights going in and out of the weapon as an extra - though admittedly unnecessary - feature indicating an empty gun makes sense.
I wonder what caseless ammunition types do PAC/EU used? "I know it's the future but is it possible that we still used the same caliber size that we use today" 5.45x39mm caseless? 7.62x39mm caseless? 7.62x54mm caseless? 14.5x114mm caseless? 5.56x45mm caseless? 12,7x99mm caseless? 8.6x70mm caseless?
The answer for casings is pretty simple though - modellers and animators treat this as their portfolio. So the more moving shit they can cram in, the more likely they are to be hired by EA or Activision or whomever else. It's the same reason right handed guns are ejecting to the left so that the player can see the casings so that animators can show off their work and justify their payment rates.

really good stuff, but man, some of the new sounds... they are just trash man... especially for the anti tank rifle, the original sound is unreplaceable, come on it fells like a sponge gun in the remastered....

I don't really enjoy the remade gun sounds. Some of the guns sounded really iconic in the original (Ganz, Krylov, Baur, come to mind). I would have preferred a remaster of the gun sounds rather than a remake. Remaster in the sense that it preserved the original feel of them, but increased the complexity of the sounds.
