I really like all of these. Notably, I LOVE the tracer effect + the launcher noises. The sound was done very well and a lot of the reloads are simple but with a tad of flair.
There's an exaggerated buoyancy to a lot of these animations that I really like. Sight posts bounce a lot on heavy weapons and guns settle in a very wobbly way. The finger work when the bolt actions are rechambered after firing is absolutely superb as well and the Mosin empty reload where the bullet on top gets loose from the clip is just really well done. Also most guns that were recycled from FC5 at the very least had some tweaks to the general motion and posing of the animations so they aren't a 1:1 copy (though some like the 1911 are).
Just to be sure: there is no Mosin in this game. Thank you for pointing out the fingers of the left hand when the character is using the bolt action rifles. I have about 3 hours of playtime and didn't even notice yet although you get a first bolt-action very early.
That top cartridge on the Mosin anim isn't coming loose, it's actually a technique used to pop the clip out when you shove the rounds into the magazine. I'm incredibly surprised that they put that detail in the animation, as I've only seen one person do it *in real life*, let alone a video game.
i'd say that my number 1 complaint about the mosin was the bolt. for some reason they didn't realize that when Dani cycles the bolt, the part of it they're holding just clips through the part of the bolt that they didn't animate.
all im gonna say: this game is a massive step up from 5 and new dawn, but i hope other guns come back, like the 44 magnum or the lynx. but the detail in the guns is insane
The Lynx wouldn’t really make sense in this Cuban environment but it really doesn’t matter anyway cause half of this guns don’t make sense to be in Cuba anyway. More weapon variety is cool
Camo15590 I think those surplus guns make sense, mainly the Soviet and Cuban weapons, some American weapons too, however the weapons reused from previous game like the P226, Desert Eagle, etc don’t make sense at all. Especially the Croatian VHS-2 is really out of place in the game. However as I said I honestly don’t mind more variety. (EDIT: Lol the Webley too is quite out of place.)
I like how theres an abundance of WW2 weapons. Since if this takes place in south america (or nearby, which i assume it does) then thats usually where most WW2 era firearms end up in today, in use by brazilian police and the like
@Infinity_Jr the game shouldn't have german weapons, Cuba's armory is mixed by Old american ww2 and korean war weapons with Soviet 60's guns. Like: Thompson M1A1 M1garand M2 M1A1(most used one) FAL(both semi and auto) bazooka Springfield M16S M1911 G6P AKM PKM RPD M1919 M16A1 SKS SVT-40 Most of weapons are american-belgium-Soviet made. So basically many weapons shouldn't be there
It's actually a thing called moon clips. It's a ring or star shaped piece of metal design to hold multiple revolver cartridges together as a unit for simultaneous insertion. It's pretty much an alternative to a speedloader.
I love when games do "kitbash" weapons put together from household items. They can be the most creative and memorable guns out there. Far Cry 6 does them well. This game is a blast.
@@darkdroide well i mean at that point its just nitpicking, they are definitely improved from before and they look and feel more snappy and weighty than previous games
@@deltaorez4593 i agree, i just wanted to nitpick because i like the technicality behind animation, this could be just an issue due to the female hands-model being thinner (and they made the animation on it because the female character is the canon one i guess) and i understand that in a AAA schedule you have too rush over lot of things, but seeing more refine animation in an indie game it's indeed a little sad, but again it's just a nitpick, after all the animations looks better
The backend of the bolt on the mosin doesn't move and actually has significant clipping if you look closely enough. I'd say that they kinda botched the mosin animations. It is a beautiful model though.
I like how the flaw with the M-16 is backwards here, usually you'd see the 20 round magazine used in Vietnam holding 30 rounds but in this it's the 30 round magazine carrying the correct 20 rounds

Love the guns in this game (the series in general has a decent collection), but the one thing that's bugged me is the 1911's sound. It felt much louder and more powerful before FC5, now it sounds just a little less punchy Just a little nitpick, otherwise all the guns are fantastic
Overall, all animations are great, especially when compared to any previous Far Cry game ever. Even tho there are a lot of reused weapons from Far Cry 5, they still changed some things animation wise which is most noticable in fireing animation which looks much more punchy and weightful. The weapons that are new have extremely good animations with lot of detailes. In my opinion, the most complete weapon is AS VAL which has two completely different animations, one for tactical and one for empty reload. It even comes close to MW 2019's animations. Also, MP5/MP5K is quite impressive becouse even tho it uses same model from Far Cry 5 they made a completely new reload animations for it which looks satisfying AF to look at. It looks very snappy and you can feel the weight of it due to great movement in animation and prety solid screen shake. Sounds are nothing special but are still a decent improvement over Far Cry 5 and New Dawn.
there’s always been two seperate animations for whether it was a tactical reload, or an empty mag/clip reload. and don’t forget the completely seperate animation that weapons get when you equip skills/mods that affect reload speeds. it’s safe to assume that all weapons from FC5 were given new animations, why would the MP5K be the only weapon with updated visuals.
@@Ajay-dy3xw what he saying is true tho. FPS games have come a long way to make their guns as realistic as possible, that includes not mirroring its model. I was expecting Far Cry would move on from that but disappointed that they didn't. That was my opinion tho.
I love the resolver weapons. To you might see as a generic handmade guns that you will see in post apocalyptic game but for me i see something beautiful.
@@thefunfactman6098 The game is inspired by Cuba (or at least the stereotyped view of the US), and in Cuba due to embargoes they had to make do with fans, cars, and various other items, and because of that came the idea of hack guns , and they are very unique, they have a flamethrower, a crossbow that kills with 1 shot, a gatling machine gun, a rifle that goes through covers etc, which gives an extra distinction to the game.
lol, that's what shocking you, not the flat tip .50 cal round? this gun, even hand loaded, would tear itself apart. it has no lugs. no retaining pin, the barrel is free from the gun (this means zero accuracy after the first shot warps the frame), and it's using a door latch to keep the barrel from falling off. AND it's used a necked down 50 cal cardridge to fire suppressed rounds. which fires with the hammer still cocked. right. a very logical, sensible gun.

They could easily make a good FPS with the Resolver Weapons alone. Then again, this is Ubisoft we’re talking about. Width of an ocean, depth of a puddle.
Coming back to this, I just noticed that when you shoot the longer barrel 1887, the flash, bang and guns smoke all originate from the middle of the barrel (where the end of the short barrel 1887 would be).
They arent too bad, some executed quite horribly as if they were animated by someone else and others felt better than the previous titles. Gun sounds are pretty decent but sometimes it bugs out. Decent quality.
some problems i found on the weapons: 1. Some Models are still mirrored like the Bizon, SVD and SPAS 2. Some animations are reused from from Far cry 5 like then 1911, Mp34, Mp40 and etc 3. The PPSH-41 with that kind of adjustable sights as far i know doesn't exist, is maybe a custom version made by someone 4. Groza in pistol caliber? i don't if those thing actually exists, if yes tell me 5. i know is just to expand the arsenal in game but, why we have such mordern weapons in the game? like the Ar-c, Mp7, Ksg and etc 6. Someone can explain how a AS VAL went to a fictional Cuba? 7. The Rpd had a grip? 8. the .308 carbine a 3 rounds magazine wich cary 5 rounds in game Some good points i saw in the arsenal: 1. the revolver weapons made me laugh beacause of how crazy those things are 2. is good to see more obscure weapons appear on game like the the Pieper M1893 "la Varita" in game and the brazilian IMBEL M964 "FAL" 3. the return of the Webley revolver to the series... now in double action 4. the weapons discription made made me laugh so hard, like the MS16 "7x62mm Full Metal Jacket, Now let me see your war face!" or the M16A1 "They're in the trees, man, in the trees!" Far cry in opnion didn't inprove that much in desing in arsenal and in the game itself compare to far cry 5 but is still better then many games out there. Ps: if you find an mistake in my comment or don't agree with me fell free to respond to this comment
I feel like 6 answers itself no? It's a fictional Cuba who said an AS Val couldn't be there? Also yes the Groza platform can be chambered in that ammunition type
A few additional things I noticed: 1. The loaded rounds already have their primers spent. If you look at the shells being loaded into the webley and the unspent rounds on the belt-fed weapons, you'll notice an indent in the primers. Those indents should only occur after the rounds have been fired. (granted a bunch of other games are guilty of this) 2. I could be mistaken, but looking at the MKVI being fired at x.25 speed, the hammer doesn't appear to move when being fired. 3. The reloading for the 45/70T is out of sequence. After firing the last round, the player cycles the lever before loading the new rounds in when it should be the other way around. 4. Kind of a weird thing but I also noticed that the cylinder for El Muro rotates after being fired as opposed to before. Not saying that these are all "immersion breaking" just kind of interesting quirks that stuck out to me while watching this.
Okay. Really good animations. Awesome graphics. I'm sure they feel great to shoot. I could care less if the resolver weapons could actually work IRL, because they're fictional weapons. But for the real guns, they're so attentive to the specific make of the firearm, that it really irks me when they don't work or look like the real thing. The worst case of this I noticed is when they took a Makarov PM (The eight round, single stack magazine, military version of the Makarov) and called it the PMM (The civilian version, with a double stack magazine, which holds 12 rounds). The PMM is visually distinct from the PM due to its much larger and wider grip. I love that they included a stetchkin though (Essentially a select fire Makarov with a rate reducer built into the grip) although they've called it the 6P13 auto (the 6P9 also called the PB was an internally silenced version of the Makarov, the 6P13 does not exist, but would likely refer to a suppressed version of the stetchkin). I've never seen a stetchkin in a non-cold war era game before.
(I wish this comment could help) First I'd like to say that mostly the guns in this game are made in junk which badass however it could be made in real life by understanding the design in the game after seeing the first minutes of the guns it's gamble of which you can do it and which is the one that is going to fail but even if you are not an engineer just understanding the way it's made the materials that is used for its body parts it is totally do able example the crossbow in the resolver weapons they use a bike handel and puts a axel that connects to the strings that is completely balanced and for the body structure they used a springed like ejector to put the arrow in all I'm saying that everything in this game is doable and I'm waiting for the youtube engineer to make this so that we kids could follow that path so we could be more interested or involved such thing like this to be more creative than ever (So sorry for my bad english)
For some reason, the OC-12 "Tiss" (Including the OC-14 "Thunderstorm", although this particular configuration of the Tiss is not in the game) is simply called BP in the game! I was also very surprised by the small selection of weapons, especially pistols and sniper rifles.
I hate how except for the FAL and the AS VAL, non-empty magazines are still thrown away as though they were empty. I hate the "quick reload" for the AK especially. Is it too much to at least hint at your character putting the magazine back into their vest? (The MP5 is a very good example how to do it, 06:21). I wouldn't even complain but they clearly made the effort for some guns, and sod all for the rest of them. However, that seems to become typical for AAA games nowdays. Some guns, levels, aspects are highly polished and well thought out, others are just ... there.
The reason some reloads don't throw away the non-empty mags is because they were newly animated for Far Cry 6. Most of the guns here are copied from Far Cry 5, where that sort of thing wasn't present at all.
Thats because they reused the animations from Far Cry 5. The difference in the quality of these animations compared to the new ones is also extremely jarring imo.
@@fascistlobster and @SCA Yeah, recycling might be the reason. However, I just can't understand how an art / creative director is okay with such a huge span between great animations and bad ones. Also, some of those weapons do not fit at all into the Cuban setting. I am afraid though that this whole thing with getting a mixed bag is just how Ubisoft works.
A step up from FC5 and new dawn. However, Seems like the LMGs are using bullets with already fired primers. Did you not think I'd notice ubisoft? I always notice.
I can't be the only one who's annoyed at how insistent Ubisoft is with reusing animations between games, right? Especially when they don't fit the new weapon animations style-wise.
The weapon variaty in this game is really amazing, it's the first far cry I'll buy after playing that meh thing FC4 and the others after it, looks very promising!
I’m just glad the M9 is back. I carry a 92A1 (an upgraded version of the M9) at all times, so I enjoy using any 92-series pistol in games where they’re featured.

Только СКС принята на вооружение уже после Второй мировой... Разве, что ограниченная партия проходила испытания в войсках на заключительных этапах войны
Gauss-style weapon? Oh you mean the Zeusito. That weapon wasn't featured probably due to the fact is not mainly used for combating solider as the weapon is technically a EMP weapon that is mainly used to disable vehicles for some duration of time.
Favorite weapon animations in a FC game since FC2. So happy about the key bound weapon inspects! Animators did an excellent job on this one. Is it just me or are many of the weapon sound effects terrible? All of the magazine sounds are especially bad. It's a weird shame.
every single animation here (except some) to me is some version of great/good, and if you think these animations are bad then you're wrong, because they're not. the only thing i could fault them for is the sound design on some of these guns sounds like a 2005 game and they desperately need an overhaul (1911 and AK for example) but that's about it.
My biggest issue is that there's no recoil which makes weapons feel like they're shooting peas, although this could also be a thing the video creator did for clarity idk
Some of these are so creative, I love the idea of guns made from scrap/tools ect. One of my favourite things from new dawn actually, I just really like the idea of having a sniper made our of bits of pipe with a flashlight acting as a scope😂
The villain was weak and it was the same formula as Far Cry 5, which is basically a better version of this (my opinion don't hurt me) But one thing this game is good for is just goofing off with your friends and stuff
They added rpg elements to the enemies making them bullet sponges unless you shoot them in the head which is a instant kill on all. The end wasn't really satisfying does are my only two complaints about it but other then that it's fun to just shoot and cause chaos oh I forgot the city isn't even a city most of it isn't interactive
Not really. 20mm is a moderately sized anti material round. It would be better against vehicles and such than .50 caliber because of the increased mass
I love how heavy machine guns on vehicles overheat after a second or two of use, how exploding shells can destroy a tank but have limited effect on a human head and how a hit by a tank shell on a helicopter doesn't obliterate it.
They did good on the models and animations, sounds could be better but I could just be spoilt with irl recorded sounds, the most unrealistic thing is the recoil but it's for gameplay reasons so it's ok
This game shares a lot with fallout 4 guns. Bolts being on the wrong side and weapons just being kinda off, like being to wide or angular or having extra or removed parts.
This is a good example of animations that needn't be like MW2019 to be good. I wonder how long until people realize that MW2019 was just an art style, not a standard.
I really like the animations in this game. That's why I'm getting a Xbox series X and getting the game on Christmas this year. Also the motion that is very clean.

Love the guns in this game (the series in general has a decent collection), but the one thing that's bugged me is the 1911's sound. It felt much louder and more powerful before FC5, now it sounds just a little less punchy
Just a little nitpick, otherwise all the guns are fantastic
It sounded really weak for what it is in Far Cry 5 imo. It also looks like they reused the sounds for it here but added more echo to it.
Actually most of the weapon sound design here is eh
I had the “screen shake” only at the beginning of the game… after some missions I had no recoil, the weapon shoots straight…

some problems i found on the weapons:
1. Some Models are still mirrored like the Bizon, SVD and SPAS
2. Some animations are reused from from Far cry 5 like then 1911, Mp34, Mp40 and etc
3. The PPSH-41 with that kind of adjustable sights as far i know doesn't exist, is maybe a custom version made by someone
4. Groza in pistol caliber? i don't if those thing actually exists, if yes tell me
5. i know is just to expand the arsenal in game but, why we have such mordern weapons in the game? like the Ar-c, Mp7, Ksg and etc
6. Someone can explain how a AS VAL went to a fictional Cuba?
7. The Rpd had a grip?
8. the .308 carbine a 3 rounds magazine wich cary 5 rounds in game
Some good points i saw in the arsenal:
1. the revolver weapons made me laugh beacause of how crazy those things are
2. is good to see more obscure weapons appear on game like the the Pieper M1893 "la Varita" in game and the brazilian IMBEL M964 "FAL"
3. the return of the Webley revolver to the series... now in double action
4. the weapons discription made made me laugh so hard, like the MS16 "7x62mm Full Metal Jacket, Now let me see your war face!" or the M16A1 "They're in the trees, man, in the trees!"
Far cry in opnion didn't inprove that much in desing in arsenal and in the game itself compare to far cry 5 but is still better then many games out there.
Ps: if you find an mistake in my comment or don't agree with me fell free to respond to this comment
The Groza SMG here is chambered in 9x39, same as the AS VAL and far from pistol caliber.
I feel like 6 answers itself no? It's a fictional Cuba who said an AS Val couldn't be there?
Also yes the Groza platform can be chambered in that ammunition type
Noteverything has to be realistic
A few additional things I noticed:
1. The loaded rounds already have their primers spent. If you look at the shells being loaded into the webley and the unspent rounds on the belt-fed weapons, you'll notice an indent in the primers. Those indents should only occur after the rounds have been fired. (granted a bunch of other games are guilty of this)
@Freesmart No need for modders to reanimate it. Far Cry already has smooth animations since 5. Its just the mirrored models...
The day the resistance will eventually break is when they finally run out of macarena CDs

Sound designs are beautiful, although the MG42 kind of lack the buzzsaw feeling that the previous Far Cry games had
It isn't too bad
Loving that there's a Belgian Pieper revolving carbine in this
(I wish this comment could help)
First I'd like to say that mostly the guns in this game are made in junk which badass however it could be made in real life by understanding the design in the game after seeing the first minutes of the guns it's gamble of which you can do it and which is the one that is going to fail but even if you are not an engineer just understanding the way it's made the materials that is used for its body parts it is totally do able example the crossbow in the resolver weapons they use a bike handel and puts a axel that connects to the strings that is completely balanced and for the body structure they used a springed like ejector to put the arrow in all I'm saying that everything in this game is doable and I'm waiting for the youtube engineer to make this so that we kids could follow that path so we could be more interested or involved such thing like this to be more creative than ever
(So sorry for my bad english)
For some reason, the OC-12 "Tiss" (Including the OC-14 "Thunderstorm", although this particular configuration of the Tiss is not in the game) is simply called BP in the game! I was also very surprised by the small selection of weapons, especially pistols and sniper rifles.

I think the same, I really like the way they sound and the feeling when shooting is satisfactory.
those are some legitemately cool makeshift weapons. Loving those!
