This is a standalone Weapon that will also be featured in the upcoming Fallout: London mod.
It contains a weapon with various workbench attachments to make different versions to better suit the users need.
This particular release contains: Chinese Pistol Set
How to get:
- Install mod as per normal through your chosen mod manager
- You can find the weapon located on Legendary drops or in the Yangtze
- You can spawn the items the usual way by finding the code in the console using the following:

Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. As a continuation of the base game, the mod will allow the player to visit the previously unexplored post-apocalyptic environment of London.
As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain.
Team FOLON® operates as an independent entity responsible for the development of the Fallout: London mod for Bethesda's Fallout 4™ game. We want to emphasize that Team FOLON® is a separate legal entity from Bethesda™, the publisher of Fallout 4™.

What I respect about Neeher is that every weapon he makes has Power Armor animations. So many modders just skip this and leave them broken. I respect the quality presented here.
No one knows how he does it. I thought power armour animations were impossible to create in this game.

And that my friends, show how a *_true, talented_* developer works: he knows all the features, positive points and limits of the engine with he/she is working. Exactly the opposite of what the trained chimpanzees at Bugthesda Game Studios do.

You do not know how happy I am that you can turn this pistol into a rifle, several other mods have done this but none has made it a legit rifle.

What I dont like though, is how much slower the pistol is than the rifle version, the C96 Mauser has a holster that doubles as a stock so it shouldn't make a slight bit of difference, if they change the speed I'll use it, if not I wont (the C96 is my favourite pistol of all time and it really annoys me not seeing it done properly).
@@Mrcaremal5 I’m just glad you can make it a rifle, Pigness version has a stock and rifle modification but it annoys me when I still hold it like a pistol

Fwiw, it’s actually based on a real Chinese gun, not just the Mauser with an inexplicable “Chinese” descriptor. The markings on the texture for it in FO3 specifically identify it as a Shanxi 17, a .45 ACP Mauser derivative that was designed and produced in China around the start of the 20th century. It was real popular over there until mag-fed pistols caught on in the area around WW2.

@@thelasttaarakian The Chinese copied the Mauser and upscaled it for .45 ACP. Mauser didnt make a C96 for .45 themselves

@@thelasttaarakian the C-96 was really popular during the warlord period that bled into ww2 and civil war period. But it's popularly and also real world events such as Germany allying with Japan and the war and all that jazz. It Lead to china making it own versions that chamber what rounds they could make or where supplied. (It varies depending on the faction and era). So he's not saying the Real Chinese gun isn't Mauser inspired but it's fallout counter part is based on a Chinese version. You will be surprised how many guns are inspired and share similarities to other fire arms.
MGS3 makes good use of that fact to foreshadow a certain plot twist.

In Fallout lore it's actually a Chinese knock off of the WW1 German Pistol. You made it sound like it was a Chinese invention.
It’s almost like China in the 1920s and 30s used so many hundreds of thousands of both authentic and copied broomhandle Mausers they continued in service with the PLA for many decades and would have been very much appropriate the “for stuck in the 1950s for 200 years” world of Fallout
Fallout's timeline splits from ours post WWII, the C96 is pre WWI, so basically there is no lore to the Chinese Pistol. It's just the Chinese copy of the C96, they were very fond of it during the Warlord era

That said, consider upping the fire rate for the full-auto variants to be more accurate to the real Mauser Schnellfeuer, which is quite high irl.
Most fps games tend to lower technical fire rate of automatic guns because of technical limitations. I am not sure if F4's engine can spew 30-40 shots/second as real life Schnellfeuer did.

One suggestion though, the handguard animation for the rifle version without a foregrip looks a bit off - like the character is not really gripping the guard. Maybe holding by the magwell would be better for that?

I feel like the next best thing to add would be a modification of the LString mod adding an English warbow. The warbow was a staple of english armies for centuries, and youve even got a faction of people roleplaying the middle ages. Seems like a perfect fit.

Something curious about the chinese pistols in reality:
The C 96 was made by mausser, but astra wich was a spanish conpany produced a lot and also buyed the plans to make the smg versions wich where shipped to china durning the chinese civil war and then the first sino japanease war and then in ww2 even, it was a preffered weapon because they could trespass easily the blockades, and then they where in the mainland of china converted to Smg,s
So due to geography lorewise the chinese pistol in fallout london and the Smg will be a chinese pistol itself, from china?
Or it would have more sense to recyclate this events and made them spanish pistols on route to china wich where intercepted by british convoys before the war ?
BTW The model looks awesome and the wood texture its just perfect, i love that red/wood as much as the orange/wood from soviet weapons, and it looka awesome!

So during the Chinese warlord era the Chinese loved these pistols to the point Chinese arsenals were manufacturing copies my personal favorite being the 45 acp version for how comically big it is. No idea why the Chinese army in fallout uses them seeing as by the time of the divergence they had switched to better pistols but still a neat piece of history most people don't know about
IRL 1980s Chinese made a new automatic pistol which looked and worked pretty similar to this one. So in Fallout lore it could be a new model of pistol which just looked like the old Mauser because of retrofuturism.

@2:15 I see that the bolt is released by pulling back the hammer. I haven't had any hands on experience with a c96, but I've only seen people use the ears on the bolt to charge the pistol. Does this work with the real pistol/is it any military doctrine to press back on the hammer like this? Looking pretty good!

0:22 Actually, it being called a Chinese pistol kind of makes a bit of sense sense. The Republic of China had hundreds of C96s maybe in the fallout universe the communist just decided to copy it form captured pistols
❓Just a quick question: Will we need to install Fallout London on top of a vanilla-F4 or can we keep our current mods and install Fallout London on top of the modded-F4 without any issues?

Question About Modding: Is there a technical reason for why no one has done a Fallout overhaul crossing over with Elder Scrolls? The concept seems so obvious, but after all these years I can find barely any content along those lines. So either I have severely overestimated the amount of probable interest, or there's something I don't know.

I find the weapons of your mods to be a bit too "clean" looking, a bit of rust or a few scratches would go a long way into making them feel like they belong in an apocalypse (or after one)

There shouldn't be any firearms in Fallout London as civilians are not allowed them.
It's very important question: are you going to translate your game into Russian and other languages? For example, many of your fans live in Russia. English voice is good for a playthrough but, as for me, playing without Russian text is hard

Strictly speaking, a "British accent" is not an accent at all. For it is _their_ language and, thus, whatever their "accent" is, _is_ the original "intonation" of the language. It's like saying a native French speaker has an "accent" (Creole and patois / pidgin forms of French notwithstanding). All other ways in which English words are pronounced -- American (which often even has alternate spelling), Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, South African etc. -- are the actual "accents".

The broom-handle mouser actually has a strong association with China. There was a time in the warlord period where there was an arms embargo preventing the import of rifles. Pistols were really prevalent as a result, and the c96 mouser was really popular as a result. It's not a very good sidearm, with it's large size and awkward design for carrying. However as a sort of sized down carbine, it's actually pretty good when compared to its peers.
It's a cool gun, even if it makes literally no sense practically. Love me some some anachronistic retrofuterism.
Genuinely not having a good c96 mouser mod kept me from downloading fallout 4. This coming out is making consider once again haha
It's not really anachronistic, if we accept M1911's, Thompson SMG's and M1 Garands in Fallout then the C96 isn't off the table. It'd probably be some surplus, black market or given to fift columnists etc.
@0lionheart Plus, it was technically in the series all the way back from fallout 1. It was not until 3 that it was called the 'Chinese Pistol'.

I know I'm just a stranger but I hope everything gets better for you. Until it does, I hope it's the little milestones like new games/mods that get you through the tough times.
Maybe not as many as you'd otherwise expect actually. The main reason the release was delayed was so they could do a few months worth of testing and polishing first, to release it in as playable a state as possible. One of the advantages there of being a small independent indie team- they've a smaller budget sure but there's no strict deadlines to meet and nobody cracking the whip@@connorwisnom645
