My dream BF would combine the gritty war aesthetic of BF1 with a modern setting and BF4-style customization and weapon variety. A singleplayer War Stories mode with missions loosely based on real modern conflicts, and a prologue mission where you play as several frontline soldiers who don't last long as a nod to BF1's prologue. I'll just wait for them to make an AI game-development program where I can type that into a prompt, because I can't rely on EA and Dice to bring me a game like that...
I never played 2042 even though I spent years waiting for it since it was announced. @@skullcrusher4999 I think a frontiers approach would be interesting, you have multiple different instances (matches) you can go into to based on a large scale frontline and wins and losses in one instance affects the field of play in the others such as new spawns or vehicles or large scale changes to the map such as a dam blowing up on one instance affects the adjacent frontline instance. Gaijin tried something like this in WarThunder with the World War mode but it takes a lot more thought and development than gaijin were willing to give it to work
@@MrMustang13i sort of disagree that it’s entirely tactical as after bad company they mainly focused on the arcade aspects as a shooter. Wow. I must download it again for the fourth time and hope you're right about the popularity because when I tried playing it a couple of months ago I couldn't find a full server
Nato vs PMC leaves significant room for character 'identity' which at best means premium cosmetics for character customization, but could very well just be premium skins, or at worst, they kept specialists. Definitely concerning that 'heros' very well could still be on the table.
I wonder if it’ll be like Medal of Honor Warfighter where we have operators from NATO countries as our specialists.. idk what they’ll do for the PMC faction.
I don't think there will ever be a comeback of Battlefield, the modern state of the industry and the modern dice just don't lend themselves to the kind of formula that made Battlefield an unique and epic experience.
"we had an appetite for more 2042" how dare they. We wanted Battlefield BC2/3/4 with pretty graphics and new stuff. Instead they copied call of duty's homework, almost too a perfect T, and tried to sell us that aftermarket slop. Battlefield 2042 will go down in history as one of the most fumbled games of all time. This was hands down the worst battlefield game of the franchise and will probably keep that title for a long time. They removed classes and It took them two fucking years to practically double the content of the base game. Enough said I think. Dice CANNOT fumble the next game it has to blow this planet apart with awesomeness OR AT LEAST be as amazing as Battlefield 4/3/BC2 or this franchise is dead.
I've been saying they need to do mainline numbered series and Bad Company series and keep them separate. Mainline for normal BF, BC for their goofy experimental bs like 2042 was
BC2 is my absolute favorite BF, but this team needs to learn what makes BF BF. Imagine they do create BC3 and it's just like 2042, I couldn't think of a heartbreak worse than that.
One thing is specific when it comes to a new battlefield cross platform between PC Xbox, PlayStation steam deck. Whatever you might play. Along with allowing mouse and keyboard capabilities. If the game is going to be related as a modern military, or a modern game, it needs to have the modern like technology included. At the very least cross platform
Complete with: - 2 full maps (able to have up to 256 players) - 2 Assault rifles (1 with attachments) - 2 Snipers (one is actually a DMR, and the other has interchangable scopes) - 1 LMG (It's just a gun with a belt... who can tell the difference) - 2 Pistols (Glock 17 and Glock 18 for variety) - 1 Crossbow (all games needs a crossbow) - 40 Hero Characters (all quirky but soldier-like, with skills like: flying, laser-eyes, telekinesis etc.) - 80 Skins for each hero, unlockable in-game (by using real world money) - A Battle Royale mode (they've spent 70% of their development hours on, which will be abandoned after 1½ weeks) - And finally a Helldivers mode, called "Underworld Swimmers" (because we can't have a game without the newest trend)
Im so interested what the marketing will be like. For BF2042 it was all "ooh a return to form, ooh its for the fans" They really just gonna try that whole shtick again?
I would imagine NATO is standard army uniforms and the PMC will be a build your solider thing. I would be fine with that. I would be fine with being in NATO with military accurate clothing and going against a PMC group that is not. That’s fine because it still caters to what I look for in a BF game.
for the campaign of the new battlefield I would love to see something really impactful with a story that really captures the pain of war more like bf1 but maybe more cinematic? I mean just thinking out loud but I think that would be really awesome and I think battlefield can pul it of because its more serious then cod.
Right? But a real remaster, not just a shader pack, then full price. Old maps, new maps. Same setting, same weapons and vehicles. Throw in a couple of new modes and maps and I would be happy to even buy DLC packs like in BF2 times.
The main points that I can think are. Aim for a BF4 with updated graphics, don't give us specialist we don't want them, we "want" normal soldiers in a big war, just another gear to the machine. Don't add special perks of stuff like a reviving pistol, seeing through walls and so. Don't follow trends, we don't need, and I repeat WE DON'T NEED characters dancing or emotes, focus on what's important. Let us customize our soldier with camos and pieces of military gear like hats, war paint, berets and so, just as you can custom almost every aspect of your gun, we want to custom every aspect from our soldier. And OVER ALL ASK THE COMMUNITY WHAT WE LOVED FROM PREVIOWS BATTLEFIELDS. There are a ton of Vets with good ideas out there, if you try to reach to us as a community believe me, we will get in touch and give feedback to you.
What a pathetic end to a pathetic game. My heart goes out to the Battlefield RUclipsrs who've had to put up with this game for 3 years. EA Motive has done good work in the past and I hope they can help turn this franchise around. Honestly all they have to do is modernize BF4, minus the UCAV.
I have been burned too many times now. It'll take at least a year after release before I even think about getting the next Battlefield game. Zampella or not, I just don't trust DICE to deliver a finished product on release.
@@yeahman147 Of course. EA really hates money and want their stock prices to get halved with every release and therefor is telling them to release it unfinished or sets deadlines without asking any questions after it happening a few times - totally can't be that at least the old DICE structure was absolutely greedy itself and that they never told them the actual state of the product as releasing a buggy game and fixing it up later down the line worked in their favor ever since BF3.
I cannot trust EA or dice. The marketing for BF2042 wasn’t just dishonest. It was all a straight up lie. They deserve to be sued for false advertising.
The only thing I want in Battlefield is 1. Having realistic aspects for weapons, grenades, vehicles, and equipment. 2. Day Night Weather Seasonal Cycle System that changes every 2 hours in the multiplayer 3. Input Base Matchmaking as well Win Base Matchmaking 4. Immersive experience with everything being destructible 5. Give people a reason to actually play the game, win games, and create an amazing experience.
In order to even consider a private military to start to fight a single country you would need to solver so many supply chain, motivations and financial issues that it is straight up impossible under any circumstances without the private military being backed by another government. It is quite a dumb idea.
I remember how Dice and EA reacted to people hating all the DEI that was announced for BFV. Never give people like that your business. They don't want it.
They branded the game as the most "historically accurate" WWII games ever made as a character is powersliding with an MG42 blasting grenades and V1 rockets out of the sky . Followed up by a disabled female with prosthetic arm so advanced looking she might of ripped off of Samus's corpse from Metroid Prime. Yeah, people were pissed, because EA and Dice didn't understand the concept of being respectful to its audience and source material. Just about every company has made this same mistake over the past 6 or 7 years so hopefully they start to learn their lesson.
the Universe is allready online its when you go to play 2024 and you can go play the bf3 maps and with their weapons so on. so im assuming they are adding tthem there
Even after watching this video, i still cant get over the fact that battlefield 5's potential to be best ww2 shooter died off so early. The eastern front content + extensions could've brought so many disappointed players.
Battlefield and COD are fighting over maybe 100k customers, meanwhile we're all over on Helldivers II paying 30 bucks for a game with over 400k players at its peak and Joel hasn't even shown us his big plans.
Dude I was thinking today. I would not be surprised if EA sees the success of Helldivers and changes the next BF to have a similar mode to HD2 but a lame half baked version. Just like they did with Hazard Zone.
I want to see Battlefield take place on American soil. It's only been done a few times, once in BF2's Armored Fury expansion, and in BFHardline.. theres so much potential! Especially with every conspiracy nut thinking a civil war is coming (who knows.. maybe it is..). But with CODs new MW trilogy totally botching their story and not going the "Red Dawn" route, it seems like the perfect opportunity for Battlefield to swoop in and do it themselves. Imagine multiplayer maps in LA, New York, the Baltimore harbor, mt Rushmore, new orleans.. I pitched the idea to Marcus Lehto a few years ago, and he seemed to like it. It's so sad to see his team shut down, though.. so disappointing Here's hoping we hear more soon about this new game!
A Battlefield game taking place in America with the Second American Civil War and WW3 raging at the same time would be kind of cool. But will be wokeifide 😢
Funny enough I just bought it 2 months ago, I was old school fan from BF1942 days so waiting that long was weird. Good time to join though, it feels pretty solid
If they wanted to make money off of cosmetics, I don't see why they don't just have normal ass soldiers and shit, but give them a level of customization. Like grounded gear for each of the classes and factions.

@@Unknown_Genius Yeah, BF2 is definitely classic in the literal sense, but I really was just talking about how good BF3 and 4 were, and how they became classic games in the franchise. I own 2-4, as well as the Bad Company games, and like them all, but BF2 is extremely dated by now, lol. BF3, 4, and the Bad Company games still hold up nowadays, IMO.
I disagree about BF's single player characters. I liked BF3 and BF4's stories and characters. I was disappointed how they let Dima die in BF4, Hannah was cool, Irish and Pac too. I also liked how the campaign sets up the setting and story and the multiplayer was the aftermath. Like BF4's campaign was trying to prevent a war between China and the US, finding out that Russia would back China if a war did break out; then the multiplayer was the inevitable US invasion of China and as the DLC would release, it would tell you how the war panned out with Russia's "Final Stand" in the frozen regions in Russia. BF3 did the similar with even showing the continuing war in Iran after the Earthquake in the Aftermath DLC. That stuff is brilliant. It's a shame 2042 failed so hard because the setting really did sound cool as a post global warming apocalypse with low resources, failed states, and constant natural disasters (apparently tsunamis, landslides, and even fire tornadoes were also supposed to appear but EA pushed the game out before it was finished).

I really hope for going back to heavier movement and gun play that keeps players grounded.

I want to see Battlefield take place on American soil. It's only been done a few times, once in BF2's Armored Fury expansion, and in BFHardline.. theres so much potential!
Yeah bf3 and bf4 had a real backstory been told through dlc and they didnt even sweat for that.
You said that at every new season.
