Thanks for the advice. One bump of the key and popped right off. I only wish i had watched this video before i spent 100 dollars on an impact wrench that wouldn't remove it. Thank you

I would honestly start with cleaning the throttle housing , it also could be the idle control. I believe it is integrated into your throttle housing, but could be separate depending on the year. If there is no other codes it makes it difficult , without a good scan tool with live data gathering. Hope this helps , thanks for watching.

After you replaced both the cam and crank sensors, did that solve the problem of your car not turning on after the engine is warm? I ask because I just bought a 2003 Buick Century, and it is doing the exact same thing. Turns on with no problem when engine is cold, but it will not turn on after engine has been running hot. Your input would be most appreciated.

In this case it did , however I have seen differemt scenarios , with no codes and the throttle position sensor ended up being the culprit. Even relays can get hot and cause issues like this. I would go through checks one at a time , ruling things out. Thanks for watching.

I'm thinking of buying an 01 lesabre. They are claiming that the car takes a minute to start and the check engine light is on due to the camshaft position sensor needing to be replaced. Does this sound right? after watching this video I'm sure i can do the replacement. Ive mainly worked on hondas so i don't have a lot of knowledge on american cars.

I would want confirm the check engine light was in fact the cam sensor . It could be however some times the code will tell you one thing and be something else entirely . In my experience the cam and crank sensor start acting up after getting warm or the car has been running but that's just my experience. It could be any number of things . Anyways wish I could be more help . Thank you for watching

A loose ,or leaking gas cap,can cause that, also.
Make sure the cap clicks at least 3 times, then see if it starts better.
If not, then check the cam,and crank sensor.
Have it scanned, before doing the sensors.

The vehicle uses metric size bolt bolts and threads. The small thread size used with the puller are 6mm/1.25. The big crank bolt head size is 24mm. You can rent the bolts at Auto Zone. These balancers have a nasty habit of separating the inner section from a rubber mounted outer section, inspect yours.

What was the car doing before you decided to change the sensor? My car has spark has fuel pressure but will not start. It cranks kinda slow and will start for a second but die right away with no engine codes.

My 99’ Lesabre is doing the same thing. This is a tough one

This one was shutting off after warmed up for about 30 minutes. It also threw the codes for the crank sensor and cam sensor. Another thing you have to rule out is the throttle position sensor because it will cause similar symtoms. Thanks for watching.

Mines doing the same thing it cranks but no start.put a new Fuel pump and Fuel regulator but the intake is leaking . plugs and coil are getting spark.so At this point I'm thinking it's the crankshaft sensor or Cam
