This channel has been SUPER helpful for me as a complete beginner at not only just gacha, but HoYo's way of doing things. Got a couple friends who've been into many gacha for years, but this is a great series of videos I can refer to as to not bombard my friends with questions. Thank you so much.
I'm already on IK Lv. 39 & this is the first gacha game I've ever played, so lots of the mechanics that GI or HSR players are familiar with totally went over my head when I started (took me so long to understand what to do with W-Engines even with the tutorial boxes explaining to me what to do), lots of the pity jargon was absolut incomprehensible to me, so the video was really helpful for me even if I'm not technically a beginner anymore haha Keep up the good work!!!

I made 5 pulls 5 hours after I began to play, and got Qingyi on the fifth pull. Then I got 2 S ranks from 70 pulls on the standard banner, and 2 S rank bangboos on 60 pulls from their banner. I've never been so lucky on Genshin, ever
Congrats, I've had the opposite luck. Went to hard pity and lost my 50/50 for both Ellen and Zhu Yuan(180 pulls for each), hard pity and lost my 75/25 for Ellen's W-Engine(another 160 pulls down the drain), and am now 84 pulls in for Qingyi. This game hates me. Oh and standard banner, I also went to hard pity both times I got an SSR and they were both W Engines instead of characters. Bangboo luck has been better, but I care far less about that and it still hasn't been great luck there either, just at least not hard pity status lol
I love how well this video covers all of the zzz terminology! All the advice given was pretty good, and even though I've been playing the game for a while I might try to get some of my other friends into zzz and show them this video!
As someone who has never gotten into Gacha previously this video was a big help. I was lucky enough to get Qingyi pretty early on. Haven’t decided if I want to pull for her W-engine. Or save for Jane.
@@kiracaos Well basically all it takes is the ability to read, a couple of brain cells and a bit of luck when farming. And if you're tight with all that, you can use Prydwen or Mobalytics, the Chinese with calculators have already done the math for you, so there's nothing to worry about, kekw Most of the content creators do that, for example, releasing character guides without even having them or experience playing them.
@@kiracaos there are already a lot of guides for each character in the game in youtube, consisting of more than 8 minutes of video, explaining their facts and thoughts about the possible builds. There are also websites about guides like Prydwen. I'm also trying to create guide contents but since there are already a lot of them, there's no room for me to do it.

I see more people call them Mindscapes than Cinemas, but Cinemas makes more sense to me, as it’s the word that appears when you’re just looking at a character’s basic screen.
For me, I use the term Mindscapes to make it easier to have a distinction between the HoYo gachas. Genshin has Constellations (C6), HSR has Eidolons (E6), and ZZZ has Mindscape Cinemas (M6). It doesn't really matter what terminology you use, but I just prefer to use the appropriate terms for each game, even saying Signal Search instead of pulling or wishing if I think the other person will understand it.
@@hiimapop7755 I would have puzzled out M0 W0 a lot faster than C0 R0, that's for sure. M0 W0 seems kinder to Hoyo noobs, but I can also understand why Genshin players would use the terms they already know. And "banner" seems to have stuck for ZZZ, where I almost never see anyone talking about "channels." So it's a mixed bag, old and new.
As a blue archive player I can give advice about mentality that can help you in your rolls. First, if you like a character that you really want to secure for your account, you should at least save enough to do 180 pulls, why? You should always prepare for the worst, meaning you may lose your 50/50 and you may have to do another 90 pulls to secure your favorite character. Secondly, if you are an F2P, it is never advisable to get w-engine, normally this is made for people who are going to spend a reasonable amount of money to optimize their PCs. Third, if the character you like appears in your first pulls, it's perfect to save the rest for the next banner and avoid spending money on the w engines.
little correction, in BA you need 200 pulls to secure a character, in hoyo games there is soft pity, for example, to secure a 5* you need 90 pulls, right? thing is, soft pity starts at 75, once you hit this number of pulls, the chances to get the 5* increases drastically, so its almost sure that between 75 and 80 you already got the 5*. This means that you need between 150 to 160 pulls at must to get a secured character from the event banner, not 180, that will only happen if you have the worst imaginable luck available in the universe.
Long term gacha auers will know this but i think it's worth mentioning but if a limited character that is really popular there is a chance they get added to the standard banner a year or more down the line and after the launch cycle is over for zzz and we come up on likely the 6 month anniversary we will probably get a large batch of standard characters and w-engines

This is great. For me, the search = pull = wish = summon jargon was easy enough to figure out, but the C1 for M1 and R1 for W1 confused the heck out of me for a long time. I got used to seeing people talking (bragging) about how their C0 R0 Ellen was hypercarrying, but then I saw other people brag about their M0 W0 Ellen hypercarrying and I wondered, just how many upgrade types are there for agents? It seemed like at least four, lol. Oh yeah, don't forget upgrade = evolve = ascension also.

I came from genshin but the drive discs were still really hard for me to adjust to. I think I got it now but especially for complete beginners a drive disc guide is so appreciated
As a f2p gamer, the Denny issue, energy cap, and overall cost for upgrades has pretty much forced me to stop playing a lot aside from short daily tasks and events (Camellia Golden Week is refreshing though). Started HSR as a substitute, but nothing’s gonna fill that fun that ZZZ initially brought until substantial new story content comes or Wuthering Waves gets ported to console. WuWa terminology is hard. Would love a WuWa explanatory vid if you ever play it.
I would really appreciate a teambuilding guide, since it's become frustrating to me to simply only try to match factions, elements, or types. I want to be able to run a different team on Hollow Zero that isn't focused only on ice or ether!
The recommended drive disc feature was super helpful and they implemented it right as I was getting to the point of working on a set for Nekomata. Now I've got her kitted with really good discs and even the substats are pretty decent. Not perfect, but I'm not about to fret over it. Plus I got her signature weapon in a normal banner pull. I would have preferred an agent, but I guess it's better than a w-engine for an agent I don't have or never use. I guess the gacha gods really want me to use Nekomata 😂
Really cools video, veey informative and to the point. One thing to note: the limited character banner does not have S rank W-Engines in it's pool. So when you pull on it, you're guaranteed to get a S rank character, which is part of the reason it's recommended to pull on limited over standard.
Good video! I now understand what the ZZZ equivalent for resin is. I’d see people talk about their resin and I’d think “Wait, what’s that resource mean for ZZZ…?” Side note, it always sounds silly to me when I hear someone pronounce W-engine as though there was no hyphen lol
I usually avoid the weapon/wengines banners cause i dont like it. The standards are good enough for me. I would alway wish they would increase the odds if you did pull the intend limited agent for the limit wep/weng banner. Would make things at least more appealing

The pity system in this game has treated me worse than any other gacha ever. I've not only had to go to the full hard pity of 90 for every single SSR, but also lost every single 50/50. So that's 180 pulls for both Zhu Yuan, Ellen, Ellen's W-Engine (only 160 for that one, yay?), and going to 90 for any standard banner SSR, with the last 2 being W Engines instead of characters. The only good luck I got was getting Nekomata on the standard banner with your first guaranteed SSR in 20 pulls. Since then it's been awful. I am a dolphin in most games, but my luck has been so bad here that I don't even want to spend, because with the current luck I've had I'd be needing around 300 dollars every single banner character I want to pull on. Not worth it whatsoever to me, I have no intention of going full whale status. Which sucks, because every new character they tease looks so dang amazing in terms of design

i would say consider yourself lucky, having such bad luck to hit 90 pity 6 times in a row is probably on the same lvl as winning the lottery, you may probably meet a huge turn around of luck irl 🙃

I broke my foot at work, can't get my son into his first year of school because lack of transportation and my injury, workers comp lessens my funds drastically due to how they situate payment, and I have a crazy ex that has been stalking and harassing me and people I know. Luck on all fronts both in games and IRL has been plummeting. Trying to figure out what I did to deserve such awful karmic retribution, but I have no answers
Teams would be: -Jane, Seth, Grace (Best currently available team) -Jane, Seth, Burnice (Community predicted best future team) -Jane, Lucy, Burnice (Will probably be her actual best team on certain stages) Something super F2P would be Jane, Seth, Anby since you'll get cinemas from both just from Jane's banner.
@koussaiouariache Anomaly Proficiency also boosts a unique stat Jane has called Anomaly Crit Rate. That's why it's actually more important than building Crit like you do on most of the other DPS characters. I'm about 50/50 on the main stat for slot 6 btw. Because Mastery would make her Assault hit much harder, but Attack % will make everything in her kit hit harder.

I have been playing games like Star Rail and Tower of Fantasy for a while before Zenless, and Zenless is By Far the best one But Gacha Shit will catch up to anyone playing Gacha and you'll feel these Problems as you go, Pulls is 1 of them Seriously, if you play for Pulls, you'll suffer, if you play the game and see Pulls as a "Bonus Option that Can Be Ignored", Congratulations! You won the game of Lottery and can find the Fun in Gacha Games.
I misspent my 20k polychromes on battery conversions because I didn't know how the signal search function worked and I just wanted to level up my characters. But by the end I still got Burnice lmao
One piece of advice I would highly recommend is to pre-convert all your polychromes into limited pull tapes. This will remove the option of you accidentally using it on something else like if you go to use a battery to recharge your energy and accidentally burn a pull in the process. I currently have nearly 150 pulls saved up for 1.2, though I will build pity on Jane's banner so that I can get another copy of Anby for her c2 and a copy of Seth for my collection and potential future use.
I pulled W2 on Qingyi without getting her because I wanted Billy's W. I think it is probably a bad call on my end, but it does not feel like my worst pull. Maybe I should mind, but I can live with it even if I'm not really planning on using the limited W's.
I’ve never played a mihoyo game as the others don’t really appeal to me so this video has been very helpful. I was really surprised at just how predatory the spending system is and how ungenerous it is compared to other gachas I’ve played (though they were mobile-only games). I love the gameplay so I’ve been grinding these past few days, but I’m consistently getting soft-locked (can’t do any new story content) by interknot levels and the only way out is to waste batteries or pay polychromes (or real money via battle pass). I’ve also just started playing and seeing all my friends run around with premium characters and rolling down to 0 polychromes 100% gives fomo. But its reassuring to hear that others are more conservative with their pulls and are saving up. Even though its a crazy task for a f2p/potential goldfish I hope to save up for c2 Ellen eventually when she reruns in a few months (im not interested in any of the other potential chars other than miyabi) I’ve already got 130 pulls set aside I hope I can stay strong and build it up to at least 350 until she reruns.
They're easy: No matter how much money you spend on perfecting the main stat of a disc, the sub stats can still ruin it. That's all you really need to know. 🤣

damn I never realized how hoyoverse games follow the same pity system and character building system ! Ive played GI so I know how it works for the most part, but I am curious abt one thing; why did you say to wait until level 40 to start farming for discs? I know in genshin after you level up your world your rewards for doing domains and killing bosses are better for artifacts, so is there a similar world level up system in zzz too ? 8:12 I believe you`re incorrect there. If you lose 50/50 on a character banner, you`re still getting a character, albeit not a limited one. You cannot get an S-rank weapon on a character banner.

I just have found our after reading the image from the wiki page that the W-engine banner isn't 100% to be the limited lol I thought it's like the bangboo channel, except that you can't choose which one do you want. So basically you need at least 320 encrypted tapes to guarantee a limited S-rank agent and thier signature W-engine. Also, anyone reading this, Who are you going to pull for? I wonder which agent are people most excited for. I'm going for Miyabi no doubt.
Im pulling jane but im not going to build seth . Even at Cinema 6 he's still only A rank . iv seen how this goes with anby . she was great then Qingyi came out and was more fluid making anby a TOTAL waste of resources " even though i love her character " . Right now those denny's could go into Finishing my first 2 teams and building jane on the side
i keep hearing advice to prioritise special banner tapes and standard tapes will come naturally. i'm level 42, and the game did give away 150 standard tapes, but it just stopped there. f2p monthy thingy gives 1 tape every 20 levels or so. ascending a character gives 1 tape, but given the scarcity i can't do it with every character. one of the stores also sells 5 or so tapes every month. what i mean is my only chance at rina seems to be completing the 300 pulls and i really feel like it won't happen without spending chromes that way. is there any other standard tape source that i'm missing?

There's something that have always confused me a bit abut gacha games. Is "S" rank really that different from "A" rank? Better stats I assume? But it's still the same character with the same abilities, right? So if I'm a causal/new player in regards to gacha and I'm there for cool characters and their stories as well as the main story is it viable to do the ordinary not-end game things with just A ranked stuff? Also if I own A rank but then I pull the same but S rank, will it just override for the better one or will I have 2 copies with one being weaker, making it a big waste to invest too much in upgrading them.
if you ftp, just get M6 Anton with his weapon. Easy to clear everything with S rank with him, even against enemy with electric resistance and shield. But some ftp players are cautious that Anton may get nerf so they are not investing in him. QingYi just makes Anton more op so every Anton players will pull for QingYi.But from Genshin Impact, Bennett has never been nerf, so Anton should be quite safe. But then this game is under different game developer team from Genshin Impact.
They dont nerf characters, they will get into legal problems in china. Most they could do is make enemies stronger or introduce a mechanic that makes him weaker.
Did I understand it right? When I lose my 50/50 on quingyi I will only guarantee get the NEXT limited character which is Jane…. Meaning the next 90 pulls for quingyi isn’t guaranteed still?
Not quite, if you lose the 50/50 to Qingyi you can use that guarantee on Qingyi to get her on the next 90 pulls OR whichever future character you want.
I have a question. Is going for the 50/50 a common practice in this type of games? it seems to me more reasonable to save the 180 pulls to guarantee that character. For example, I joined the game too late to get Ellen, so I am saving everything till she comes back. Do I want Qinyi or Jane or Burnice? Yes, but I'll rather play it safe and save everything for Ellen, than risk the 50/50.
It depends on the player really. It's unlikely you'll only want one character, so missing the 50/50 for Qingyi just means you can guarantee you'll pull Jane Doe, for example. That's not to say you should pull on every banner, just that if you want two characters equally, you're not missing out by only getting one of them. It can especially help out early on as stronger characters will let you complete harder content faster. Higher Shiyu Rank means more polychrome, which means more pulls for the next character you want. My advice is not to pull on any banner you wouldn't be happy to roll the 5 star of and to keep an eye out on who's coming next. Reruns will happen, you'll have a second chance at some point.
Completely up to your personal priorities. If your main goal is to get Ellen on her rerun and you have no issues playing the game with whatever it throws at you until then, sure. You'll likely end up with way more than 180 pulls until Ellen appears again though. My priorities are more mixed and not completely fixed. I pull for characters I both like and believe will significantly improve my current accounts roster. I don't follow any hard rules (as in never pull under specific circumstances) and I'd also pull with 50 pulls available. If I don't get what I want I'll just deal with it and build accordingly to cover all elements in 4-5 teams with what I have, which is mostly my priority right now - horizontal pull strategy until I reach desired coverage, then do more vertical investments and luxury pulls. My account has all currently available agents but S11 as a low spender. Several M6 A Ranks and no M1+ S ranks but Zhu Yuan who's M1. I actually don't need to pull for anything due to how lucky I got on horizontal coverage and could cover all elements (elemental weakness and resistance is crazy in this game) with the standard S Ranks and M3+ A Ranks, which is why I might skip all banners until an agent releases that I really want (potentially Burnice and Miyabi), meaning I'm essentially already in the luxury pull phase where Jane would replace Anton and Piper or Burnice replace Koleda. I'd get better and more disorders with both, but unless it's necessary to in order to get S Rank commissions I might skip them all.
Just be clear that 180 is a choice, not a requirement, and that it's not a mistake to save less than 180 before pulling. It would be tragic for someone saving for Jane to get to 140 by the last day of her banner but still not pull, because they thought they needed at least 180. Personally I'm saving for Jane and I'm very S-rank starved in the mean time, for agents and Wengines, so the 50/50 is more of a blessing than a curse for me.
@@crappiefisher1331 that is the one thing that would greatly help me make a better decision, if we knew the average polys we get per patch. assuming each patch is about a month, that would be really helpful when decission making. however, I undestand the game is brand new so that is not possible at the moment. The info you have on pull rates does give me an idea on how much I could save, not necesarily the 180, thanks for that.
I got caesar in 80 pulls it mean If I pull another 10 pulls I could get another S characters? but in the UI banner it said that 87 pulls left to get caesar .
I missed the 50/50 on Zhu, and didn't go for pity or the 100% guaranteed pull. So let's say I'm saving up pulls for Jane, now in the next 90 pulls will guaranteed to be Jane?
I know a lot of this stuff but I’m watching anyway, lol. Question I have about the weapon banner though. Is it guaranteed to be the limited weapon when you lose 75/25, or do you have to go again for a _chance_ at getting the limited weapon? Making it essentially 3 times you may have to try if you’re really unlucky, cuz I’ve heard different stuff. Also does the weapon banner pity roll over to the next banner? I would appreciate a video going over Drive Disk farming tbh. Mostly cuz I’m not sure what the best method of gaining S rank Material for it is. I’m IK level 46 and I feel I wanna start and give my characters a decent boost in effectiveness, but I still wanna prioritise levelling up my agents, their skills and their cores so I’m not sure where my battery is best spent or if I even need to for drive disk farming 😅
Returning Genshin dolphin-whale, I have one complaint about ZZZ, it's how boring the story is. It pales in comparison to Genshin & Star-Rail. I want something GRAND, like why does the moon have all that Hollow corruption on it? What are the Hollows? Why is the whole world seemingly covered in these Hollow zones? (There's probably story about it all but I cba to listen/read all the dialogue in the story with how boring it is) BUT THE STYLE OF THE GAME? THE ANIMATIONS? WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW
The soft pity was glossed over in this video. When you reach the 76th-80th pulls (not the 74th as said in the video) the chances for obtaining the 5star shoot up to over 50% per pull. This is by design, as going all the way to hard pity feels like shit but hoyo also doesn't want to just hand you characters for free, so it artificially "tweaks" your drop chances behind the scenes. The odds of losing 5 coin tosses in a row become very low, hence if you look at pull history youll notice you almost always get your character in this soft pity, and sometimes before, but almost never afterwards.
Im so fucking sick of "daily" games just fucking let me play as long or when i want to. If i have four hours to play but only on one day may as not bother playing at all.

M0 W0 seems kinder to Hoyo noobs, but I can also understand why Genshin players would use the terms they already know. As a blue archive player I can give advice about mentality that can help you in your rolls.
First, if you like a character that you really want to secure for your account, you should at least save enough to do 180 pulls, why? You should always prepare for the worst, meaning you may lose your 50/50 and you may have to do another 90 pulls to secure your favorite character.
Secondly, if you are an F2P, it is never advisable to get w-engine, normally this is made for people who are going to spend a reasonable amount of money to optimize their PCs.
Third, if the character you like appears in your first pulls, it's perfect to save the rest for the next banner and avoid spending money on the w engines.
little correction, in BA you need 200 pulls to secure a character, in hoyo games there is soft pity, for example, to secure a 5* you need 90 pulls, right? thing is, soft pity starts at 75, once you hit this number of pulls, the chances to get the 5* increases drastically, so its almost sure that between 75 and 80 you already got the 5*. This means that you need between 150 to 160 pulls at must to get a secured character from the event banner, not 180, that will only happen if you have the worst imaginable luck available in the universe.
You make getting 20,000 Polychrome sound like its easy. Thats like a lifetime in my eyes lol.
Long term gacha auers will know this but i think it's worth mentioning but if a limited character that is really popular there is a chance they get added to the standard banner a year or more down the line and after the launch cycle is over for zzz and we come up on likely the 6 month anniversary we will probably get a large batch of standard characters and w-engines

This is great. For me, the search = pull = wish = summon jargon was easy enough to figure out, but the C1 for M1 and R1 for W1 confused the heck out of me for a long time. I got used to seeing people talking (bragging) about how their C0 R0 Ellen was hypercarrying, but then I saw other people brag about their M0 W0 Ellen hypercarrying and I wondered, just how many upgrade types are there for agents? It seemed like at least four, lol. Oh yeah, don't forget upgrade = evolve = ascension also.

As a f2p gamer, the Denny issue, energy cap, and overall cost for upgrades has pretty much forced me to stop playing a lot aside from short daily tasks and events (Camellia Golden Week is refreshing though). Started HSR as a substitute, but nothing’s gonna fill that fun that ZZZ initially brought until substantial new story content comes or Wuthering Waves gets ported to console. WuWa terminology is hard. Would love a WuWa explanatory vid if you ever play it.

I would really appreciate a teambuilding guide, since it's become frustrating to me to simply only try to match factions, elements, or types. I want to be able to run a different team on Hollow Zero that isn't focused only on ice or ether!
The recommended drive disc feature was super helpful and they implemented it right as I was getting to the point of working on a set for Nekomata. Now I've got her kitted with really good discs and even the substats are pretty decent. Not perfect, but I'm not about to fret over it. Plus I got her signature weapon in a normal banner pull. I would have preferred an agent, but I guess it's better than a w-engine for an agent I don't have or never use. I guess the gacha gods really want me to use Nekomata 😂

One thing to note: the limited character banner does not have S rank W-Engines in it's pool. So when you pull on it, you're guaranteed to get a S rank character, which is part of the reason it's recommended to pull on limited over standard.

The weapon banner (w_ engine) should have its own pulling currency. Why it's the same characters currency 🤷
The pity system in this game has treated me worse than any other gacha ever. I've not only had to go to the full hard pity of 90 for every single SSR, but also lost every single 50/50. So that's 180 pulls for both Zhu Yuan, Ellen, Ellen's W-Engine (only 160 for that one, yay?), and going to 90 for any standard banner SSR, with the last 2 being W Engines instead of characters. The only good luck I got was getting Nekomata on the standard banner with your first guaranteed SSR in 20 pulls. Since then it's been awful. I am a dolphin in most games, but my luck has been so bad here that I don't even want to spend, because with the current luck I've had I'd be needing around 300 dollars every single banner character I want to pull on. Not worth it whatsoever to me, I have no intention of going full whale status. Which sucks, because every new character they tease looks so dang amazing in terms of design

I broke my foot at work, can't get my son into his first year of school because lack of transportation and my injury, workers comp lessens my funds drastically due to how they situate payment, and I have a crazy ex that has been stalking and harassing me and people I know. Luck on all fronts both in games and IRL has been plummeting. Trying to figure out what I did to deserve such awful karmic retribution, but I have no answers

@koussaiouariache Anomaly Proficiency also boosts a unique stat Jane has called Anomaly Crit Rate. That's why it's actually more important than building Crit like you do on most of the other DPS characters.
I'm about 50/50 on the main stat for slot 6 btw. Because Mastery would make her Assault hit much harder, but Attack % will make everything in her kit hit harder.

I misspent my 20k polychromes on battery conversions because I didn't know how the signal search function worked and I just wanted to level up my characters. But by the end I still got Burnice lmao
One piece of advice I would highly recommend is to pre-convert all your polychromes into limited pull tapes.
This will remove the option of you accidentally using it on something else like if you go to use a battery to recharge your energy and accidentally burn a pull in the process.
I currently have nearly 150 pulls saved up for 1.2, though I will build pity on Jane's banner so that I can get another copy of Anby for her c2 and a copy of Seth for my collection and potential future use.

I pulled W2 on Qingyi without getting her because I wanted Billy's W. I think it is probably a bad call on my end, but it does not feel like my worst pull. Maybe I should mind, but I can live with it even if I'm not really planning on using the limited W's.
I’ve never played a mihoyo game as the others don’t really appeal to me so this video has been very helpful. I was really surprised at just how predatory the spending system is and how ungenerous it is compared to other gachas I’ve played (though they were mobile-only games). I love the gameplay so I’ve been grinding these past few days, but I’m consistently getting soft-locked (can’t do any new story content) by interknot levels and the only way out is to waste batteries or pay polychromes (or real money via battle pass). I’ve also just started playing and seeing all my friends run around with premium characters and rolling down to 0 polychromes 100% gives fomo. But its reassuring to hear that others are more conservative with their pulls and are saving up. Even though its a crazy task for a f2p/potential goldfish I hope to save up for c2 Ellen eventually when she reruns in a few months (im not interested in any of the other potential chars other than miyabi) I’ve already got 130 pulls set aside I hope I can stay strong and build it up to at least 350 until she reruns.

8:12 I believe you`re incorrect there. If you lose 50/50 on a character banner, you`re still getting a character, albeit not a limited one. You cannot get an S-rank weapon on a character banner.

Even at Cinema 6 he's still only A rank . iv seen how this goes with anby . she was great then Qingyi came out and was more fluid making anby a TOTAL waste of resources " even though i love her character " . i keep hearing advice to prioritise special banner tapes and standard tapes will come naturally. i'm level 42, and the game did give away 150 standard tapes, but it just stopped there.
f2p monthy thingy gives 1 tape every 20 levels or so. ascending a character gives 1 tape, but given the scarcity i can't do it with every character. one of the stores also sells 5 or so tapes every month.
what i mean is my only chance at rina seems to be completing the 300 pulls and i really feel like it won't happen without spending chromes that way. is there any other standard tape source that i'm missing?

There's something that have always confused me a bit abut gacha games. Is "S" rank really that different from "A" rank? Better stats I assume? But it's still the same character with the same abilities, right? So if I'm a causal/new player in regards to gacha and I'm there for cool characters and their stories as well as the main story is it viable to do the ordinary not-end game things with just A ranked stuff?
Also if I own A rank but then I pull the same but S rank, will it just override for the better one or will I have 2 copies with one being weaker, making it a big waste to invest too much in upgrading them.
if you ftp, just get M6 Anton with his weapon. Easy to clear everything with S rank with him, even against enemy with electric resistance and shield. But some ftp players are cautious that Anton may get nerf so they are not investing in him. QingYi just makes Anton more op so every Anton players will pull for QingYi.But from Genshin Impact, Bennett has never been nerf, so Anton should be quite safe. But then this game is under different game developer team from Genshin Impact.
They dont nerf characters, they will get into legal problems in china. Most they could do is make enemies stronger or introduce a mechanic that makes him weaker.

Not quite, if you lose the 50/50 to Qingyi you can use that guarantee on Qingyi to get her on the next 90 pulls OR whichever future character you want.

Before you start pulling, you need to pick a lucky spot in game and perform a small ritual. That way you will surely get the character you want!

I have a question. Is going for the 50/50 a common practice in this type of games? it seems to me more reasonable to save the 180 pulls to guarantee that character. For example, I joined the game too late to get Ellen, so I am saving everything till she comes back. Do I want Qinyi or Jane or Burnice? Yes, but I'll rather play it safe and save everything for Ellen, than risk the 50/50.
It depends on the player really. It's unlikely you'll only want one character, so missing the 50/50 for Qingyi just means you can guarantee you'll pull Jane Doe, for example. That's not to say you should pull on every banner, just that if you want two characters equally, you're not missing out by only getting one of them. It can especially help out early on as stronger characters will let you complete harder content faster. Higher Shiyu Rank means more polychrome, which means more pulls for the next character you want. My advice is not to pull on any banner you wouldn't be happy to roll the 5 star of and to keep an eye out on who's coming next. Reruns will happen, you'll have a second chance at some point.
Completely up to your personal priorities. If your main goal is to get Ellen on her rerun and you have no issues playing the game with whatever it throws at you until then, sure. You'll likely end up with way more than 180 pulls until Ellen appears again though.
My priorities are more mixed and not completely fixed. I pull for characters I both like and believe will significantly improve my current accounts roster. I don't follow any hard rules (as in never pull under specific circumstances) and I'd also pull with 50 pulls available. If I don't get what I want I'll just deal with it and build accordingly to cover all elements in 4-5 teams with what I have, which is mostly my priority right now - horizontal pull strategy until I reach desired coverage, then do more vertical investments and luxury pulls.
My account has all currently available agents but S11 as a low spender. Several M6 A Ranks and no M1+ S ranks but Zhu Yuan who's M1. I actually don't need to pull for anything due to how lucky I got on horizontal coverage and could cover all elements (elemental weakness and resistance is crazy in this game) with the standard S Ranks and M3+ A Ranks, which is why I might skip all banners until an agent releases that I really want (potentially Burnice and Miyabi), meaning I'm essentially already in the luxury pull phase where Jane would replace Anton and Piper or Burnice replace Koleda. I'd get better and more disorders with both, but unless it's necessary to in order to get S Rank commissions I might skip them all.
Just be clear that 180 is a choice, not a requirement, and that it's not a mistake to save less than 180 before pulling. It would be tragic for someone saving for Jane to get to 140 by the last day of her banner but still not pull, because they thought they needed at least 180.
Personally I'm saving for Jane and I'm very S-rank starved in the mean time, for agents and Wengines, so the 50/50 is more of a blessing than a curse for me.
@@crappiefisher1331 that is the one thing that would greatly help me make a better decision, if we knew the average polys we get per patch. assuming each patch is about a month, that would be really helpful when decission making. however, I undestand the game is brand new so that is not possible at the moment. The info you have on pull rates does give me an idea on how much I could save, not necesarily the 180, thanks for that.

I would appreciate a video going over Drive Disk farming tbh. Mostly cuz I’m not sure what the best method of gaining S rank Material for it is. I’m IK level 46 and I feel I wanna start and give my characters a decent boost in effectiveness, but I still wanna prioritise levelling up my agents, their skills and their cores so I’m not sure where my battery is best spent or if I even need to for drive disk farming 😅

Returning Genshin dolphin-whale, I have one complaint about ZZZ, it's how boring the story is. It pales in comparison to Genshin & Star-Rail. I want something GRAND, like why does the moon have all that Hollow corruption on it? What are the Hollows? Why is the whole world seemingly covered in these Hollow zones? (There's probably story about it all but I cba to listen/read all the dialogue in the story with how boring it is) BUT THE STYLE OF THE GAME? THE ANIMATIONS? WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW

The soft pity was glossed over in this video. When you reach the 76th-80th pulls (not the 74th as said in the video) the chances for obtaining the 5star shoot up to over 50% per pull.
This is by design, as going all the way to hard pity feels like shit but hoyo also doesn't want to just hand you characters for free, so it artificially "tweaks" your drop chances behind the scenes.
The odds of losing 5 coin tosses in a row become very low, hence if you look at pull history youll notice you almost always get your character in this soft pity, and sometimes before, but almost never afterwards.
