In this video I review the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck AWD (Foundation Edition). After a rough start with the pickup process and a malfunctioning screen I finally got everything working. Buttons for the truck bed cover should’ve been placed on the tailgate vertical portion, or on the side steel panel, it was clearly designed by someone who does not live in snowy/icy climate.

I like this truck more and more. However i think it can be more. It has potential to be the best driving/everyday car and a beast of an offroad adventure vehicle like the rivian is. I'm sure with software updates this will happen over time.

Just because ONE built for that event won, doesn’t mean jack diddly shit to anybody. Any vehicle with a good driver and properly built can win. They’re $100k cars that are extremely extremely expensive and cost out the ass to even repair slight body damage. they’re pavement princesses, by and large deal with it. Plus where the fuck are you gonna charge your truck in the middle the mountain??

I'm definitely in the minority when I say I'm kind of a fan of the design. It's unique and has its own identity when compared to other trucks. It's not the best truck, and definitely needs some better tires for off-roading/ icy conditions, but I'm still a fan

Light show is software that they've already made. Heated seats isn't.

That front bumper camera is awesome! Really wish they’d hurry up and add it to the other models.
My favorite feature of the CyberTruck is that front bumper camera. I wish that was standard across all models, and I've been wondering why they took it off the Model 3 highland, after showing the renders with it. Not going to lie, I'll be pretty upset if they left the front bumper camera off the Model 3 highland but add it to the refreshed Model Y later this year or early next year.
Even the chevy bolt has a front bumper camera. I don't know why tesla doesn't want to put it.
This is the 1st one where the front door don't match. Usually it's the rest doors with a different color tone.

Wanna good sounding car? Listen to a supercharged v8 or a nice running diesel. That’s what a real engine, that works and lasts sounds like.

And really, did you seriously just say that electric vehicles last longer because some article you saw on the internet said so? More made up nonsense, when the price of the battery is more then the car you can’t say they last longer. Gasoline and Diesel engines are an understood technology. They work and they work damn good when emission freaks aren’t coming up with arbitrary laws that only hurt everyone. It’s a million times easier to repair, produce and literally everything else on a gasser. Your EVs are a one and done. Tell me that’s better for the environment how? Lemme see a Tesla with a million miles on it. Can’t even have Tesla’s in the cold

Just an old Canadian guy here that longs for days when you could still see the ground between the inner fender wells and the exhaust manifolds. Lord, Lord, and what have we here. A great truck for those that never get their hands dirty. I've been a contractor for 40 years before I retired. Weather or not a truck is any good depends on how you use it. To me, it's just another tool. I want the most practical truck for my construction business. I'm not at all concerned about it's aesthetic appeal. Definitely not a fan of Tesla's sloped bed sides - would make putting anything over the side or getting something out of the front of the bed and would really piss me off. I think that engineers or stylists that design these things should be made to use them everyday. If I can't put a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood on the floor of the bed and close the tailgate - useless for my purposes. None of my pickup trucks had an extended cab. It's a truck, not a bus! I punctured a gas tank on a F150 on a rough site - the replacement was about $1,935. To replace the Tesla battery back itself with all modules in it would be around $16,000. A windshield for a Ford F150 will cost about $700. while the Cybertruck retails for $1,900. I know it's because of the electronics in the Tesla glass but how do those electronics help my carpenters and labourers put more money in my pocket? Want sticker shock? Check out how much it costs to replace a rear quarter panel. Now we also have to factor in insurance costs. Insurance companies are steadily raising their rate for EV's because of the ridiculous repair costs. Most people who are out buying Tesla's popular and controversial EV pickup are probably not worried about these costs-they're more likely agog over the nothing-else-like-it styling and outrageous performance claims-and, at least among the early adopters spending six figures on these things, they can likely absorb higher repair costs. How could giving my employees a race truck to use everyday not tempt them? It would me. For everyone else, some of these prices might seem as outlandish as the truck looks.

I hope they fix the significant video lag/delay between reality and when it is displayed (the front cam) at 23:40 ... Until I can get a Cybertruck, I'm customizing my own truck and it seems that's an inherent issue in digital cameras and displays... the only solution i'm finding is to go back to analog... Great video! 👍

Thanks for a great and different perspective with this review I very much enjoyed it. Tundra owner who preordered a cybertruck on a whim but still on the fence. This review was very helpful in leaning me towards getting one. What I don’t get is all the idiots who just comment for no reason and add no value about how it sucks on every review I see lol. More concerned about the crash test results! Is it at par with other truck that has heavy chunk of metallic objects in the front, like engine, drives etc, which obviously reduces the crash impact on passengers?

Not having a screen behind the steering wheel, or a HUD, is a weird choice. Forcing ppl to check their speed out of the corner of their eyes is annoying. And the huge pillars in the front severely limits your view, even with the little triangle windows. Not having a camera in the rear view is a dumb decision as well.
90 mile range while towing, which is absurd. So on a vacation or trip that's a few hundred miles and you're bringing a large boat or something be prepared to stop every 90 or so miles to recharge. And most charge stations have no place for a trailer(there are a few pull through chargers out there) so you'll be unhooking the trailer, parking it and rehooking each charge.....every 90 miles.
The square steering wheel sucks. You can't drive with one arm. I do this all the time. There was no point to reinvent the literal wheel. Keep it damn round

Honestly that screen does not look responsive at all, you can notice when your swiping your finger there is a delay in the time you swipe to actually panning around to each side

All they had to do was build a truck that looked mostly like a truck and it definitely would have been extremely desirable. Visually, it's just not that appealing but seems awesome.

Model y is the best Tesla ever and refresh model y will only make it a statement. This is good but for a truck this ain’t good enough especially with that bad range it gives. Haul a big trailer and your range won’t even be 250. If range was at least 400 miles then maybe this would be best Tesla.

How can this big monitor with so much capacity be aloud ? This obviously draw the driver attention instead of looking at the road. Its like using a computer when driving. Seriously I would not feel comfortable.
Good luck getting out of that truck in case of a crash. The steel sheets are so thick that they barely absorb any shock impact, and are so hard that the fire department will have problems cutting it out to rescue you from there. No door handles, and an electronic buttons also does not help in these crash scenarios when power is likely lost. This thing is a complete death trap. No thanks.
